FIFTEEN MELODIES

Someone, somewhere wishes of that special someday...

Being one of the successful groups in the industry, 14SS (14 Sided Stars) has everything. But not everyone they wanted to be with. A story to shed light on the dark past of the brightest stars ever known and the one that will change everything and everyone.

Foreword

She looked and stared at the monitor blankly, her mind unable to process what was on it.

How could Literary class be that so tiring and burdensome? she thought and blinked her eyes, massaging her temples while still trying to understand the narrative.

She inhaled and finally decided, as if she hadn't been really thinking about it before she opened her computer, to exit the narrative.

"Manager, why you suddenly changed your number?"

She was feeling worn down and at the beep of her phone on her pocket, she could tell a snail could pick it up faster than she did that moment.

What was this message now? She rubbed her eyes, just to be sure she was not needing any eyeglasses. She hates to wear one. Childhood bad experience.

A wrong sent message, she thought as she read it the second time around.

She deleted the message.

Manager... A good job? Yeah. But not good for a parttime. That's what she was needing right now. A job that only takes an hour or two of her day but pays off bigtime.

Especially now that she was taking her last year in her MedTech program at Pendle-Centrouis Institute. The name itself sounds expensive.

(Note: What you are about to read next is an introduction to who was the main character is. Might sound boring and hey, you can skip it. Hope that would lessen comments that targets the long narration. This serves as my reference to how she would be acting towards the other characters. But this might be having foreshadows/spoilers. Haha)

It was not her goal in life to take up college at a very well-known and expensive university but what could she do? It is what was left for her by her late father who died when she was still at junior high.

Being an employee of the government, he had the opportunity to enroll her to private schools with financial support coming from the public funds.

She was still supported by the government even after her father's death. The properties were temporarily handed to her uncle Paul Thailt, who was staying with them since she was little.

But the allowance provided doesn't cover up the costs of transportation and the required things to bu and comply on her subjects.

Since first semester, she already realized that almost half of the grade you get here depends on how much money you can spend on unnecessary requirements.

And Paul couldn't provide her that, of course. He was funding his two daughters who were also taking college.

With that, she was off on her own determination to find a job that would fit in her schedule.

No time for leisure, she barely gained friends in her past three years in the university. The only persons she got was Xylvia and Anthon. Both from her Math class. The two were named geeks and she was the nearly-geeky.

She enjoys their company, a lot. And they were one of the reasons why she was able to handle the expenses her subject professors are handing over.

Xylvia's grand aunt manages a restaurant in the town square, just a walking distance from her school. Her parttime shifts take mostly an hour, but on certain days, she couldn't leave early when the next person hadn't yet arrived.

Anthon offered her the job to tutor his younger brother for a very unreasonable price. She would be paid more than the regular pay and in an even shorter tutoring hours. At first, she hesitated, knowing it would be so bad to take such goodness but eventually acquired the job.

Thanks to his mother, dinners weren't to be worried of.

She barely manages her free time. A book she borrowed from someone in her English class would take her a month or forever before she could finish it from cover to cover.

But what is life without even a reason to wake up for?

She might be an independent, unusual kind of girl you'll see around but she is entirely as normal as others of her age. In high school, she kind of didn't appreciate any romantic feelings but in this period of her life, she didn't expected she was going to suddenly feel something too puberty-ish at age nineteen.

Nitro Maxins. Engineering student. Needlessly perfect. For her, anyway.

She was awaken five of the next morning with her phone blasting beside her ear.

Her hair tanged between her each strand, she picked up for it with eyes slightly open. "Hello?" she answered the call.

"Manager!" a loud voice called from the other line.

"Excuse me?"

"So rude of you manager. Bad morning?" the voice said between laughters.

"Why conclude?" she didn't knew where she was getting what she was even replying.

"Oh. Yes. Why have a bad morning if the concert's so soon? Right, Prince Manager?"

PRINCE MANAGER?! Where did that even came from?
