A Simple Birthday~

“Yeobo, ireona.” Yukwon quietly whispered to the girl sleeping in his arms.

“Ani. Let’s stay like this for a few more minutes.” You smiled.

With that said, he stayed cuddled with you. Then he just remembered what today was. It was your birthday. He had requested for a day off of work just so he could spend the whole day with his one special girl.

“Saengil Chukkahae~” he said as he gave you a small peck on your forehead.

“Gomawo Oppa.” You smiled.

“So, what do you want to do today, babe? I’ll treat you to anything.”

”But don’t you work today Oppa?”

”Ani. I requested for a day off today just to spend it with you.”

“Awww; my oppa is the best!” you smiled while giving him a thumbs up.

You both got out of bed and got dressed for your special day. You couldn’t help but smile while getting dressed. You wanted to go to a lot places, but didn’t want to spend a lot of money. You would feel guilty for wasting his money on things that you didn’t need.

As Yukwon got out of the shower, he was drying his hair with the towel; you couldn’t help but stare at his abs. He caught you staring and smirked.

“Like what you see babe?” he joked.

You turned around in embarrassment. Your face was burning up, turning into a light shade of pink. Even though you were a little embarrassed, you couldn’t stop smiling to yourself. Even though you’ve seen Yukwon’s body a bunch of times before, you still cant help but get embarrassed whenever he catches you staring at him.

Yukwon looked at you and a small smile slowly appeared.

She’s so cute when she’s embarrassed. It reminds me of the first time I met her. Yukwon thought.

*Flashback*

You were hanging out with your friends after school while Yukwon was hanging out with his friends.

“Hey Yukwon, what do you wanna do?” Minhyuk asked him.

“I don’t know man. I’m actually kind of tired. I think I’m just gonna head home. What are you guys planning to do?”

“Oh okay. We’re just gonna go shoot some hoops then go out to eat.” Zico replied.

“Hit me up when you guys are going to eat okay?” Yukwon said.

“Aish~ you just want us to feed you, don’t you?” Minhyuk joked.

He laughed. Suddenly he looked over to where you were and noticed that you were looking at him. You jumped and hurriedly turned around in embarrassment. Yukwon gave a small smirk and turned back to the guys.

“So yeah, hit me up when you guys go out to eat. I gotta go do something. See you guys later!” He waved to his friends.

He slowly walked towards you and your friends with his killer smile. Your friends were too busy talking to each other that they didn’t notice Yukwon coming their way, but you noticed. As Yukwon got closer to them, you were trying to not freak out because your crush for 5 years was walking towards you. You acted like you didn’t notice and just kept listening to your friends.

“Excuse me. Is it okay if I talk to her for a few minutes?” He politely asked while pointing at you.

You were shocked to see that he was pointing at you. He then looked at you and grabbed your wrist and took you away. Your face was slowly turning into a bright red tomato, but you still smiled. The guy of your dreams is holding your hands. Who wouldn’t smile about that?

“I saw you checking me out earlier. Did you like what you see?” he teased.

“Uhh-Uhhm.. What are you talking about?”

*Flashback Ends*

”Are you ready babe?” You impatiently asked him.

“Almost! I just need to put on a shirt.” He yelled back.

“Okay. I’ll be waiting downstairs!” You excitedly replied back.

--A few minutes later--

Yukwon came downstairs wearing a black short-sleeve v-neck shirt with a blue denim vest and black skinny jeans along with a couple necklace that he bought for you and him.

“Ready to go?” he asked while walking towards you to give you a hug.

“Yep!” You smiled while giving him a small kiss on the cheek.

As you and Yukwon were heading to the mall, you were sitting there thinking of things to do at the mall. You tried to think of things that both you and he could do. You didn’t want to leave your boyfriend hanging.

“So where to first?” he asked waiting for your reply.

“Well I wanna do something that both you and I could do. How about the arcade?!” you decided.

Sometimes Yukwon forgot how tomboy you were. He slightly chuckled to himself and agreed. You two headed straight to the arcade and played all kinds of games. After you two were done, you went to exchange your tickets for some prizes.

Being the nice boyfriend he was, he let you pick out the prize first.

“Okay, birthday girl, go pick out whatever you want.” He flashed his bright smile at you.

You walked in the ticket store with Yukwon and looked all around the place. Suddenly you spotted something that really caught your eye.

“Omo Kwonnie! Look!” You shouted as you pointed to a large monkey plushie with a banana.

He walked towards you and smiled.

“Awww; It’s so cute! I think I’ll get this!” you exclaimed.

“Are you sure?” he asked just in case you might change your mind.

“Yes! Yes!” You giggled.

“It reminds me of you, so of course I’ll take it.”

You took the cute monkey plush and rushed to the ticket person and used up most of your tickets.

“Okay, you still have 345 tickets left, would you like anything else?” the ticket person told you.

You looked at Yukwon who was looking around.

“Oppa?” trying to get his attention.

“Ne?” he answered.

“Do you want anything? We still have a bunch of tickets left.”

“Ani. Gwenchana.” He said.

You turned back to the ticket person and told them that you didn’t want anything else.

“So do you want to keep this card and use it some other time?”

“It’s okay. Can you give those tickets to someone else?” you said while looking around the arcade. Then, you spotted a little boy and his mother.

“Could you please give it to that little boy?” you pointed to the little boy.

“Sure.” The ticket person replied.

He walked to the little boy and his mother and told him that he was giving away those tickets to him. The little boy then had the biggest smile on his face. Then the ticket person pointed to you telling him that it was you that insisted on giving him the tickets.

The little boy slightly bowed to you showing his gratitude towards you. You gave a small bow back. Then you turned back to Yukwon giving him a smile. He walked towards you and intertwined his fingers with yours.

You and Yukwon walked out of the arcade holding hands.

“What do you wanna do now?” he asked.

“I don’t know, let’s just walk around for a bit.” You replied still holding the giant plush in your free hand.

You walked around just like you said and then decided to go inside a few stores. You went and looked at dresses while Yukwon was standing next to you waiting patiently. You found a few dresses and decided to try them out.

“Oppa, I’m gonna go and try out these dresses okay?” you told him.

“Okay.” He said giving you a reassuring smile.

After a few minutes, you came out of the dressing room with one of the dresses you picked out. The first dress was a really pretty purple dress.

 “How does this look Oppa?” you said while twirling around.

He looked at you in awe.

“You look beautiful.” He replied while coming up to you taking your hand and making you twirl once again.

You smiled at him and told him that you needed to hurry and try out the other outfits, too. The second one you tried on was a bluish dress with small ruffles at the upper part of your chest and a small bow. Lastly the third dress you tried on was a simple gray mid-thigh dress. It was simple yet cute.

Every time you came out with a new dress on, you’d ask Yukwon how you looked. He would look at you with big eyes and mouth agape and say, “Wow! You look gorgeous.”

After you went back to change into your original clothes, you asked Yukwon which outfit he liked better. He thought for a bit and finally gave you a reply.

“Hmm. Although you look stunning in all three dresses, I think the last one you tried on was my favorite. I love seeing you wear formal dresses when we go out, but I’d prefer you in casual dresses any day.”

You gave him a small peck on the cheek and put away the other two dresses. Then you went to the cash register and got ready to pay for your dress. You were taking out your purse and then Yukwon suddenly stopped you.

“Uh-Uh-Uh~ I’m paying for it, remember?” he beamed a smile at you.

“Ani. Gwenchana, it’s just one dress, I’ll pay for myself.” You told him.

Before you knew it, Yukwon already paid for your dress. The cashier happily gave him the bag with the dress.

“You must be lucky to have such a sweet boyfriend.” She told you before you two left.

You just smiled and thought, “Yes, I am a lucky to girl aren’t I?”

You then caught up with Yukwon and then interlocked your fingers with his again. You decided to end the day by just going back to the apartment and have him cook something special for you and just spend the night there.

--At Yukwon’s House--

“So, what do you want to eat?” Yukwon asked.

“Hmm, how about something light and simple? Like… Spaghetti!” You answered.

He gave you a small smile and nodded.

“Okay, spaghetti it is!” He said while heading towards the kitchen.

As he enters the kitchen, he washed his hands and took out all of the ingredients and utensils he needed.

You sat on the couch for a bit and tried to find something to watch on T.V, but couldn’t find anything interesting. Instead, you got up and went into the kitchen, too.

“Let me help you, too Kwonnie~” You cutely said while giving him a back hug.

He turned around and looked at you while still in your embrace.

“It’s fine; it’s your birthday, so you just rest and let me do the cooking.” He told you.

“Awwww; But I don’t have anything to do. There was nothing interesting to watch on television.” You pouted.

You let go of the hug and went to wash your hands. As soon as you were about to grab a pan, Yukwon stopped you.

“Tsk, tsk tsk. Sit down over there and I will bring you your food when it’s ready.”

You didn’t want to argue with him, so you did what he told you. You went and sat down at the table and waited for him to finish cooking.

While you were waiting, you were carefully looking at every movement he made. You just kept looking at him in awe. You sat there quietly thinking to yourself.

I am so lucky to be with Kwonnie Oppa. He’s so caring and nice. He’s also so talented and just amazing. He can sing, play guitar, dance, and even cook. I’m so happy to be his girlfriend. He’s the best boyfriend I could ever ask for.                                                                 

--30 Minutes Later--

“Okay! Dinner is ready~~” Your loving boyfriend exclaimed.

He walked towards the table with two plates of spaghetti. He set them down on the table.

“Wahhh~ Looks yummy, Oppa!” You complimented.

“Let’s dig in then.” He said.

“Mmmmmm!! This is really delicious!! I love it!” You said as you took the first bite.

Yukwon smiled and continued eating. You and Yukwon had a few small talks while eating and soon you two finished. You collected your and his plate to wash.

“Wait, I’ll wash them. It’s your birthday.” Yukwon said.

“No, it’s okay Oppa. It’s the least I could do since you’ve done so much for me already.” You told him.

“How about we just wash them together?” he suggested.

You nodded and the both of you headed towards the sink. You were in charge of the soap while he was in charge of the rinsing.

You decided to joke around and wiped some bubbles on Yukwon’s nose. He was shocked at what you just did so he decided to take some bubbles and put some on your face, too. You two ended up having a bubble fight for a few minutes. Yukwon surrendered and you two went back to washing the dishes.

Once you two were done, you two noticed that you both were wet from a few minutes ago. You and Yukwon went to change into more comfortable and dry clothing. Then you suggested just lying in bed and cuddling with Yukwon.

He didn’t refuse and so you two were in bed. You snuggled in Yukwon’s chest and smiled.

“Oppa?” you looked up at him.

“Hm?” He answered while looking at you, too.

“Gomawo. For everything. I had a really great birthday.” You thanked him and wrapped your arm around him and hugged him tightly.

He gave you his infamous smile and returned the hug. Then he lifted up your chin and slowly leaned towards your face. You closed your eyes and felt Yukwon give you a kiss on the lips. While he kissed you, you couldn’t help but smile into the kiss. Yukwon ended up smiling, too.

After the sweet kiss, you two lied in bed and had mini conversations. You slowly drifted off to sleep. Yukwon let out a small chuckle.

“Happy birthday, baby. I love you.” He quietly said while giving you one last kiss on your forehead.
