“What are you doing here?! Someone might see us!”

“I just need to see you, even just for a few minutes. I miss you so much!”

“We could always do video calls, you know.”

“No. I mean see you, see you! In person to be able to hug you very tight like this… And kiss you. I really miss you, Jagiya.”

“I know, Jagiya. I really miss you too. So soooo much, that it hurts! But you know that we can’t be meeting like this, especially when you’re here in my dressing room, when you’re supposed to be in yours. This will look very suspicious. We can’t be too careful, nowadays. We might get caught.”

“Like Baekhyun and Taeyeon-sunbaenim. I know. I know. But I can’t take it anymore, I just can’t. Can’t we just reveal it, reveal this? I don’t like it hiding you being my only Jagiya. I am that proud of having you.”

“Now, aren’t you just the sweetest, Jagiya?” (giggles)

You and Chanyeol have been in a relationship for more than two years now. Yes, even before their debut and before the expiration of their ‘no dating’ contract, you were already there, supporting him as his loving girlfriend. EXO members know about your relationship, and have been keeping it a secret ever since. You have constant communication thru text messages and video calls, sometimes thru SNS. But you don’t use nicknames when communicating online to not be suspicious and be out of the controversy.

You meet each other very late at night, past 12 midnight, around 1am to 3am, like anybody who’s secretly dating, to avoid being caught by anyone, especially the press and paparazzi. But these past few days, since you debuted as a solo artist under the FNC Entertainment and him being much busier with his career, hadn’t had the time to meet like the old times since both of your schedules are full.

”Even if we want to reveal our relationship, both of our entertainments will not agree, especially the fans. They will oppose to this, particularly yours. Do you want to lose more fans than you’ve already lost because of the scandals that your group is already going thru? Think about it.”

“No, of course not. You know how I felt after knowing about that information, I felt really sad. It hurts. But I am more hurt because of how the fans were reacting towards the relationship of Baekhyun and Taeyeon-sunbaenim. I mean can’t idols like them be in a romantic relationship, like anybody else? We’re all human beings, aren’t we? We become close to people, we like people, fall in love like everybody else. But why is it so complicated when it comes to idols, like us? It’s unfair!”

“There, there, Jagiya. Control your heart. Let’s do it this way, ask yourself: When you heard about the news of Dara-eonni having a boyfriend, didn’t it hurt you?”

“It did. It hurt very much actually.”

“Too much that you cried all night, right? And even until now, you still feel sad whenever you remember it, am I right?”

“Yes, I do feel sad. Wait. Why are you bringing that up? Are you going to break up with me because I still like her? You know that you’re the one that I love, right?”

“Aigoo. Pabo Yeol! I’m not breaking up with you! I love you too much! And you know that, don’t you? What I want to say was, since you’re a fan of Dara-eonni, you felt really sad and even hurt when you knew about her lovely relationship with another guy, which were not you. Of course, as a fan, you want to have her for yourself, don’t you? Just like you, your fans also feel the same when they knew of the Taengkoong relationship! They were sad and hurt, because now that Baekhyun-oppa already has Taeyeon-eonni, they think that their dream of being together with him will be even far from being true. You’re getting me right?”

“Ah. Yes, yes. I am getting where you’re going.” SIGH. “But it’s still unfair. But then again, this would be for the best. I would rather have this than having fans - my fans in particular, bash you for being my loving girlfriend. I love you Jagiya.”

“I know Dobi.” (giggles) “I love you, too.” You gave him a loving kiss. “Now, go back to your dressing room before someone sees us. They might ask us if we’re in a relationship, and since you’re so bad at lying I’ll have to pretend that I don’t know why you’re here even when I’m hugging you so very tight that I don’t want to let go!”

Chanyeol smiled at your teasing. He gave you a kiss back before leaving your dressing room. And because you two are both geniuses at hiding your huge amount of love for one another, no one was suspecting about you two being in a relationship.

 

 

Many years passed in which you celebrated your anniversaries mostly by talking in video calls, because your schedules don’t match. Aside from the fact that you’re working under different entertainment companies, your performances differ. Chanyeol was a part of an idol group whom sings and dances in the name of EXO, while you were a singer-musician under the stage name Dajieru whom occasionally dances during special stages. There are only a few instances that both of you would be in the same show, like that one time when you and Chanyeol was invited to be the MC of Inkigayo. It was good that both of you got some skills in acting like there’s nothing special going on between the two of you. Practice makes perfect, doesn’t it?

On your 12^th anniversary, EXO will be having a concert. You thought that it was the perfect time to tell him the great news! The news that, you hope, will make his exhaustion from performing at the concert go away. You prepared everything, banner, cake, etc. You want to make everything perfect for that day.

And so the concert went as a blast! As expected, the tickets were sold out in just seconds. And you were watching the concert as well, seated at a VIP seat near one of the ramps. As an ending, EXO performed Overdose. Before officially ending the concert, the each of the EXO members said a few chit-chats to the fans, thanking them and everything. Then Chanyeol said,

“Fans! Did you enjoy our performance? We worked hard to give you this one of a kind performance. Thank you. Thank you very much! Sarangaheyo~! And as EXO’s voice, I was given the chance to close tonight’s event. Ah, kamsahamnida Suho-hyung for this opportunity…”

Everyone was very curious as to how Chanyeol will close tonight’s concert. What will Chanyeol say to make his closing remarks memorable for the fans. You,too, were just as curious – you were a fan, you can’t hide that fact.

“Today is a very special day for me. EXO members know about it, as well as the person behind it.”

You were nervous and quite panicking, at the moment. What in the world are trying to do Jagiya? How will the fans react to what you’re going to say, yeobo? Oh, please be kind to EXO, to my Chanyeol, to me as well, sasaengs. Aigoo~ these words kept running in your mind. You’re slightly going crazy as to what was about to happen next.

“I know you’re there in the crowd. And I’m going to get you.”

With a grin on his face, he walked to the ramp where you were seated the nearest. He came down to get you. You were happy, at the same time nervous as hell. What is happening here? Why is he inviting me up the stage? You ask yourself. You kept on smiling, as he you up the stage and lead you to where the other EXO members were.

At that spot, you were dumbfounded. You didn’t know what was happening. And all the fans were screaming, shouting. Some were screaming mad! Oh my heart, what the hell is happening?

“Jagiya…”

Chanyeol started.

“I hope you are not expecting any of this, because I want to surprise you.” (giggles)

“Well, I am not. And yes you succeeded, I am surprised Jagiya. What are you doing? What is happening here?”

(giggles) “Jagiya, I can no longer keep you away from the eyes of fans. They have to know, I want them to know, actually. Since I love them, I sense a need to tell them. I don’t want to lie about not having you, anymore.”

He faced the fans while holding you, hugging you from the back.

“Fans, this girl right here, encircled in my arms is my Jagiya for a long time now. I am really sorry if I kept it from you. I just didn’t want you being hurt by me having a girlfriend. To tell you the truth, I already had her as my jagiya, even before our debut as EXO. Do you recognize her?

You were wearing a white long-sleeve, black pants, rubber shoes and a cap with EXO on it. You were not wearing heavy make-up, as usual, just bb cream and a coral lipstick. You’re very simple, but still looking gorgeous!

“Ani? She’s known as FNC’s full of brightness girl”, Dajieru. But her real name is __________, and hopefully after this concert, she would agree to let me change her name a bit.”

With that, you turned your head to face him. Your shocked face made him smirk.

“Are you going to-”

He cut you off. Most of the fans are now crying. Because of what were the tears from - only the fans now, for their selves.

“Let me finish Jagiya.”

You faced the other EXO members, and they were as happy. They even tease you, and you laugh at it. You were blushing already, at the same time tears are forming on your eyes.

“My jagiya here, supported me, cared for me, loved me. Even if we had the littlest time for each other for the past years that we’ve been together, she didn’t think, even once I hope, to leave me. I love her. And I hope that you’ll understand that.”

He turned you to face him.

He took that very thing from left pocket.

He looked at it.

He looked at you.

Then he smiled his usual idiotic-adorable-smile.

Afterwards, he kneeled down on one knee.

“Jagiya, Yeobo, Love, Honey, best friend, girlfriend, partner, buddy. Whatever I call it, it will always and will be only pertaining to you. I love you with all my heart and soul. You’re my earth, air, water, fire~ Now that I’ve lived my life with you, I can’t imagine my life without you. I love you with every fiber of my body. I will always be yours and yours only. ______’s jagiya.”

He was now in tears like you. You were both crying because of too much happiness and love.

“Today is our 12^th year anniversary. Happy Anniversary Jagiya.”

“Ne. Happy Anniversary Jagiya. I love you.”

You both said in between cries. You smiled.

“I want to make this day very special. But I really don’t know how to do this, so I’ll just say it with all might. Jagiya, I love you and I want spend the rest of my life with you, and with you only. Will you marry me?”

You nodded repeatedly right after he said the magic words~

He put the ring on your finger and you hugged each other. While hugging him, you whispered to him that he’s not the only one with a surprise. He asked you what the surprise was.

“Yeol-appa”

You whispered to him. It took a few minutes before he realized what you said. He jumped because of too much happiness, so high that he almost fell off the stage. You screamed! You thought he’ll fall, but luckily he didn’t. He got the microphone and shouted,

“I’m going to be an Appa!”
