A Chinese-Korean born in the metal metropolis of L.A, after moving to Seoul when she was 13 years old, Lei Yuri was still an outcast in Korean Society. Her mother, a sweet and beautiful Korean woman and her second-generation Chinese-American father, had decided to return to her mother's home country of South Korea. Although Yuri had wished that they had stayed in L.A. or at least gone somewhere exciting and foreign like Beijing, she had begun to enjoy her time in Seoul. But soon, that sense of security was shattered when her mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. She became a recluse with only her loud friend Julia Kim to keep her company. But who would come along to the shy, winged horse but the deer himself, Lu Han.
