What is friendship, what is this?

It seemed to be what I would miss,

but friendship is something that has fallen out.

What used to be, I remember with doubt,

because what is now seems so wrong.

Everything in between should not belong.

The faith I had in you was real,

Now a bond, now a frienship that can not heal.

The loyalty I had for you was always there,

but the 'coming and going' I could no longer bare.

For you had taken me for granted.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," you've always chanted.

Apologies I accepted without much thought,

For a change in you, but there was not.

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.

Everything that was- a lie, a lie.

She held the crumpled paper with shaking hands. It was obvious that she wasn't supposed to stumble upon this heartfelt paper because her now watering eyes is crying for no one. Her dear friend was gone, not literally, no. Her friend was still breathing, alive and had been beside her all along but now, gone. It was her fault, all her fault but what was she to do now? There was nothing left for her to say. Her dear friend had made it clear that their bond is broken. Did she even have the right to call her a ‘dear friend’? What did she do to push her away without her own knowledge?

She needed to know. She needed to know what she did so wrong
