There once was a cat, a curious cat they said. Who explored the world up and down, and round and round he went. He sniffed and purred, in all the right places, he was a crowd pleaser they said. But curiosity killed the cat, the one that played with broken rules.  The cat saw the world as it’s oyster, and for that he must explore. Yes indeed he is a curious cat, a curious cat they said.

Yoona had never saw the curious cat. But had only heard about what others said. Children are not meant to live like cats, or so she was told, and for that she must abide.

Be proper, be poise

Don’t make so much noise

Sit up, don’t slouch

No one will like a potato couch

Step forward and swirl

Take time to fancy those twirls

Don’t slurp, that’s rude

Smile and don’t be such a prude

To be a lady it takes time

But to not be one, that’s a crime

That’s what she had always learned

Never believing things will make such a great turn

As a child, Yoona knew that her world was different from the rest. Babies were meant to crawl and discover. To experience the harsh reality of once bitten twice shy. But Yoona can’t even remember the time when her hands had touched the ground. In fact, she would have probably guessed that she walked out of her mother’s belly, instead of being pushed out like everyone else. What is dirt and how does it feel like? She had never had problems of having dirt stuck in her nails. Her friends had complained, as if it’s the biggest problem in the world. But when she look down at her own nails, they were always painted in an assortment of polishes, all colors of the rainbow, that sparkled against her eyes. Instead of playtime, her world had tea time. What are toys, and are they fun, like lessons under the dancing sun?

She was a princess that can not feel the texture of the pea under those many layers of pillows. She was just a doll. A lifeless stature, stuck in the walls of this stone cold society, surrounded by the boredom of her own mind. Her functioning brain was just a prop; left out to collect dust throughout the days. From head to toe, from thoughts to actions, she was a puppet being controlled by a puppeteer.

But all that’s changed. True to the lines of curiosity kills the cat. One decision, one sudden action without much direction, lead to

SLAP!

How can you not know what’s a thong

Take away those petty flats

You need to show, way more

Don’t call me a witch

In present time, I am a

I’ll turn your life upside down

So don’t you dare, cross me in this town
