Thursday
Thursday NightsThe day was almost over and Soo Yun was going crazy. Not once had Jaejoong contacted her. Usually, if he was busy he would send her a note early in the morning, but today, nothing had arrived, not even his presence.
She felt so alone, the past days he has been keeping her company and to have him just disappear like this again was upsetting and she almost felt like crying. He may have left her 6 months ago before, but she had a warning then. Now, he didn’t even say anything and he probably won’t ever.
Her mood was down all day, she could barely focus. She had dropped three cups of coffee throughout the day by bumping into people and things, one cup even broke into pieces. She found it hard to concentrate when she didn’t know what was wrong. Had she done something? Was he finally tired of trying to catch her?
Soo Yun had even told herself at one point that it might just be nothing, but it didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel like just nothing, and she was getting really worried over it. She even attempted to call his phone but the first ring never reached him.
Night had settled across the sky and Soo Yun’s energy felt drained. She slumped all the way home, having a little hope that he’ll be there waiting for her and clear all her frustrations away. But he wasn’t there. There were no candlelight coming from the dining table and there were no smell of any type of food.
Soo Yun dropped her bag by the door and sighed in disappointment. She the lights and went on with her usual routine. She changed into more comfortable clothes and made herself dinner. When she laid in bed that night, she kept her eyes on the single rose placed by the window. It was his rose, and she wondered what he thought of when he had picked out that specific one for her. She had taken special care of it and it had survived long enough to still look just as beautiful before. Yet, right in front of her eyes, one petal detached itself from the center and fell slowly down. She shut her eyes closed from the view, hoping her love wouldn’t end the same.
