Jinwoo didn't ask for this. He didn't ask to be the princess of some fancy country. He doesn’t want to be a princess hands down. With the heavy burden of responsibility weighing on your shoulders and equally as heavy dresses you had to wear as one, Jinwoo never thought much of it. Plus there is the fact that he is proudly male which completely contradicts the whole concept of the princess (albeit him himself leaning more to the feminine side).
