-----------------------------------------

Angels have no
philosophy but love.

The night life of the city radiated under Minho. The neon lights shone in a rainbow of flourescents, casting a view that natural moonlight couldn't. The bright lights reflected onto the window that Minho was looking out from. Taxis were swerving in a haste effort to take their passengers to their destinations. Smoke from exhaust pipes swirled in the air, leaving a hazy filter on the colourful scenery. People shuffled in packs through the city, enjoying their night out with glasses of wine and feasts layed in front of them. The air was a concoction of the enticing scent of exotic treats and the choking pollution. It was vibrant, but was the source of Minho's suffocation. The chaos of the city zoomed below him as he watched from the silent room.
Silence.
Just what Minho wanted.
It was his salvage. A place to escape, forsake. Where else to calm both the chaos of the streets and the chaos in his mind? There were no lights on in the room, but the city lights were enough for Minho. The mirrors in the room reflected the twinkle of the night life. The music Minho decided to put on became background music in the midst of the chaotic state of the world outside. He loved coming here on Friday nights; the dance studio was free of any distractions, and he was finally able to get some peace and quiet. Not that it wasn't quiet at home; he just preferred not being around with his father and step-mother home..
He shuddered slightly at the thought.
His books were sprawled across the floor, a mess due to his studying for his college finals. First year of acting was great, but he wished someone had mentioned that a lot of essay-writing and rationales were a large portion of the course. Squinting at his books, it was clear that essays were not his forte. However, he knew that acting was his passion, and sometimes hurdles needed to be overcome for the sake of what you loved. He knew from the second he ran onto the stage of his brother's musical at age 5 and acted his heart out that acting was what he wanted to do. He smiled slightly at the thought. Acting allowed him to be himself, as ironic as it sounded. Taking on personas, pseudonyms. Delving into the life and character of another left Minho at peace with who he was and his place in this Earth. Empathy was a trait he carried from birth, and acting sprung such feelings to life. He sighed, trying to form a more comfortable position on the window sill he was sitting on. His long fingers reached for his phone and checked the time. His phone lightened up the dim room.
9:21PM
He probably should leave soon. After all, it was Winter; night was beckoning much quicker. Not that his parents would notice, anyway. They were so absorbed in each other the moment they got married. Minho didn't exactly fit in their schedule-
Unexpectedly, the lights blew open and cut Minho off mid-thought. Minho actually had to shield his eyes from the intensity of the light.
"ARGH DAMN IT! What the hell-"
But he stopped, mid-sentence.
Staring at him was a girl, clutching her chest slightly from Minho's outburst. His hand slowly left to shield his eyes, and instead left them exposed. She was breathtaking. Her jet black hair was sleekly pulled back into a high ponytail, showing her face. Her eyes shone at him; an undeniable sparkle that drew him in. She stared with an eyebrow slightly raised in confusion. Her long nose sat comfortably, framing her glistening eyes well. Her plump lips were somewhat parted, ready to try and explain herself for her unannounced arrival. Her olive skin gave her a warm glow, despite the harshness of the cold outside. She was bundled up in a comfortable blue Nike workout jacket with running tights to match the look. A pair of neon blue Nikes stood out in the room, pulling the outfit together. She looked back at Minho, then behind her to the hallway she had come from. She shrugged the strap of her bag on as it slowly slipped off her shoulders.
"I am so sorry for scaring you! I just had no idea that this room was booked! I was certain noone was going to be in here?" Minho shook his head furiously. He cleared his throat, not being able to compose himself to let out a sentence. She looked around to find a pile of books sprawled across the floor. She pointed at the books, then back at Minho.
"Uh, I could just go to another room..? I'm sorry for disturbing you.." She gave a small bow as she turned to leave. Minho suddenly leapt off the window sill he was sitting on.
"No, wait wait!" She stopped and turned slowly. He eventually caught up to her, hastily jumping over his books in the process. She looked at him, with slightly raised eyebrows, waiting for what he had to say. He took a breath he was certain he didn't take before. However, he soon spoke so fast he wasn't sure what was coming out.
"Uh, I'm sorry, you're right. I don't normally book the room seeing as noone ever comes and just I had no clue someone would come on a Friday night. But hey, you can use the room if you want, I don't mind. Just uh uh let me pack my stuff up and I'll be on my way. Yeah uh well there's a lot but I'll try to be as fast as I can". In all his existence, he was sure that he was able to control himself in any situation. Although acting is his life, he was convinced that years of acting just flew out the window. He turned quickly, embarrased by the word vomit that spilled onto the girl. He crouched down to his books, trying to be as fast as he could.
The girl couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous this guy was being. Her laughing rung in Minho's ears as if she were the Siren herself. He was hypnotised, charmed. She was magic. He stopped packing immediately. She came next to him, lightly putting an arm on his shoulder.
"Silly, you don't have to do that. But..thank you". Her smile beamed in Minho's vision. He finally got the courage to return a smile and a nod. She laughed once more. She soon reached down to help.
"Here, let me help". He stared, unable of how to respond. She had quick hands, Minho realised. She was able to organise the sheets according to topic and sub-topics and soon hand it to Minho in one big pile. They both stood up, him taking the heavy pile off of her. He nodded.
"Nice meeting you". He nodded, heading towards the door. A throat was soon being cleared. Minho turned back to find the girl pointing towards the sill.
"Do you not need your bag and phone?" He gasped, eyeing the bag and phone she had pointed out. She smiled with such light it was impossible to not smile at the sight.
"I didn't say you had to go? You can stay in the room, don't worry". He looked at her, eyeing her in case she were in fact crazy or a psycho. Nope, she was just being courteous. She relaxed and soon put his things in the corner of the room. She smiled.
"That's better". She laughed. However, she paused as if an idea popped into her head. She made her way to Minho and extended a hand.
"Yuri". He looked at her hand, and back at her. He soon took it into his own.
"Minho". She nodded, absorbing the fact.
"Minho. I'll remember that".

--------------------------------------------------

"Oh no, you don't have to do that, Minho, really". Yuri was trying to convince him that it'd be best for him to drive on, not worrying about her heading home. Minho shook his head profusely, his car parked to the curb to catch up with her.
"No way. It's dark. It's cold. Look, it's raining profusely!" She tried to ignore the fact she was wet all over, silently cursing herself for not buying an umbrella knowing that her old one had broke this morning. Her vision was slightly blurred with the rain, but she could make out the worry in Minho's bulging eyes. His orbs were staring at her, not understanding how she could walk in the rain. She had to slightly yell through the heavy patters of the rain.
"Look, it's fine. Just go drive on! Besides, I'll get your car wet!" He laughed whole-heartedly. She had to admit his deep voice melted her, with his laugh resonating on her memory. It was soothing to hear. He soon got out of the car and went to the boot, not minding the rain that started to drown him. She gasped.
"Minho, what are you DOING?!" He shoved something into his jacket and went back into the car. He soon brought out a towel and layed it out for the passenger seat. He motioned to the seat.
"This'll do. Get in. Please". Granted, he hadn't known her THAT long (they met up every Friday night for 2 months now). But there was no way that he'd let her walk alone, especially in the rain. It was a nightmare waiting to happen. I mean, every Friday would involve a mixture of dancing/chatting/eating. Were they not becoming closer? She knew that she could trust him, right? She looked back and forth, chewing her lip slightly, contemplating. She soon sighed with defeat. She jumped into the passenger seat and slowly slid down in comfort. Minho's car was warming with the heating. It was only then she realised just how much she was shivering. She turned to him.
"T-t-thank you, Minho". Her teeth chattered. But he wasn't looking at her, but instead at his back seat. The clear sounds of him rummaging through his bag led to a large jacket being pulled out. He turned back to her, and slowly wrapped the jacket around her. His fingertips lightly brushed her shoulders, which left her shivering at the touch. It was so soft yet so electric. He left his long fingers wrapped over her shoulders lightly. She blinked continuously, ignoring the reasoning in her brain to move out of his touch. She instead looked up at him. His hair was dripping from getting the towel out, fringe slightly covering his eyes. What was he really thinking? He moved his fingers slowly.
"You're welcome. Plug your address into the GPS and I'll take you there". She nodded and punched the details in. She soon sighed into the passenger seat, feeling at ease. How was it that she felt so safe with Minho? She hadn't known him THAT long, but there was something about him. Whether it was his bulging eyes that screamed adorable or his manly composure that ensured her safety, she knew she could trust him. She sinked further into euphoria, not realising she was falling asleep.

--------------------------------------------------

"Yuri.." Yuri groaned. Now was not the time. She was having a dream about her and..and Minho? She had fallen into the typical princess story; she needed rescuing and was waiting for her prince. However, her prince in shining armour came in the form of a man with tousled black hair and biceps that would melt the heart of millions. It was Minho. With a horse and everything. He reached down for her hand.
"M'lady?" She smiled and took his hand.
Wait.
Minho.
What?
She woke up harshly from her sleep, gasping. She was still in his car, and was still wet from head to toe. Minho looked surprised, not expecting such a reaction.
"Whoa, are you okay?" She looked down at her wet clothes, and then at Minho. No horse. Just Minho, looking confused. She nodded furiously.
"Yeah, sorry, I just-"
"Had a weird dream?" She smiled shyly.
"It was..kind of nice, actually". He wasn't sure what she was on about, and frankly, it wasn't exactly something he could ask. He simply nodded. She looked outside. The rain had stopped, but it was still quite wet. However, her house was staring back at her. She unbuckled her seatbelt.
"Well, this is my place". She gathered her things and opened the door. She stepped out of the car, but was soon pulled back in with a gentle but firm hold on her hand. She was soon face to face with Minho. Really close, though. She wasn't sure how to breathe. He soon reached for the stray strands glued to her face from the rain. She looked down, trying to not let the flush of her cheeks be obvious.
"Make sure you dry yourself off, okay? I don't want you getting sick so I can't see you next week". She stared at him, noting that his hand was still on the strand of her hair now tugged behind her ear. He moved away slowly. She left the car to shut the door. She ce more, forgetting to thank him. She tapped lightly on the window, to which he brought it down.
"Thank you, so much. I..I don't know how to thank you.." But Minho was one step ahead.
"Lunch". She stopped mid-sentence.
"I-I'm sorry?" He laughed his smooth laugh again.
"Let's go out for lunch. There's this new restaurant at the local shopping centre. It's got chicken and steak and everything". She still hadn't had the time to process.
"I uh..I.." Minho's face faltered at her unease.
"Hey, we don't have to.." She stopped.
"No, no! I..I want to". She smiled sweetly at him, which he returned a wider smile.
"I'll call you soon with the details, okay?" She nodded. He smiled.
"Goodnight, Yuri".
"Goodnight, Minho". And then he drove off into the night. She sighed with content. Lunch? Was this..a date?
The bigger question at hand was..she was so happy he asked?

--------------------------------------------------

"DUDE, WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FOUND A GIRL?!" Jonghyun gasped into the phone. Minho's laugh trembled in his house. His parents weren't home (of course they weren't..) so he was free to make such loud noise. Sounds of shuffling came on the phone and it was soon Kibum who was scolding Minho.
"Yah, we should know this stuff! Besides, I could help you talk to her, I'm great with the ladies". Minho loudly but purposely scoffed at the comments. Kibum was sassy, but he did know exactly how to treat a lady. The phone shuffled once more, making Minho roll his eyes. Soon, Jinki spoke.
"Well, how is she? Ignore these two". Jinki and Minho laughed together. Minho soon slid down his couch slightly.
"She's just..I don't know, man, there's something about her. She's breathtaking, you don't understand. But, it's not just that. She's really funny, and can totally pull of being one of the guys, she's so chill. She's got such a kind heart. And, and. When she laughs, the whole world goes silent with the ringing harmony that comes out. I never want to hear anything else again. Like, an, angel". Minho had never smiled wider at such a thought.
It was silent on the other line.
"Wow, he's whipped". Jonghyun claimed with a slight muffle of a laugh. Minho rolled his eyes. Kibum took the phone.
"Well, if she makes you feel like this, why haven't you, oh I don't know, INTRODUCED US?!" Minho had to pull the phone away from just how obnoxiously loud Kibum was being. He shook his head.
"Exactly that! Look at how you're all reacting! I don't want to see you guys around when I take her out to lunch-"
"WHAT NOW THERE'S LUNCH INVOLVED?!" Jonghyun yelled into the phone. Minho was getting frustrated.
"Yes, there's lunch. Damn it Jonghyun, I asked her out for lunch..this is like the 3rd time I'm taking her out to lunch.." He could hear Key's deafening laugh in the background with Jonghyun clearly frozen with shock.
"Well, Ho, I had no clue you had it in you. Well done". I nodded at Jonghyun's response. I soon heard sounds of pots and pans crashing.
"What the hell was that?" Soon, a brighter voice spoke.
"Hey, hyung!"
"Ahhh, Taemin, what's all the noise with the pots and stuff?"
"Well, I'm trying to make food because everyone else is gossiping about you and your girlfriend". Taemin laughed. Minho stammered over his words.
"Hey wh-what she isn't my girlfriend, Tae-"
"Not yet". Minho paused. It got silent.
"Look, guys, I need to go get ready anyway, I'll speak to you later". Kibum took the phone and yelled into it.
"Wait, yah, we haven't discussed where you're goi-"
Call disconnected.

--------------------------------------------------

"Hey, you've done this before! You'll be fine". Jessica lightly rubbed Yuri's arm. Yuri nodded.
"Yeah, we've been going out to lunch almost every week now. I've done this before. I can do this!" Yuri wasn't sure if she was telling herself or Jessica. However, it did calm her down. Jessica turned Yuri around to face her.
"I guess things are getting pretty serious right? I mean, you do like him right?" Yuri paused. She did, didn't she? She slightly chewed at her lip.
"Jess, it's not that I don't like him. I'm just worried about letting my feelings be so..OUT in the open, you know? I don't want him to know everything about me just yet." Jessica nodded, understanding.
"Hey, sometimes hurdles need to be overcome for the things..or in this case, for the ones you love". Yuri smiled; Jessica was always the one she could turn to. The other 7 girls were great, but Jessica always seemed to calm her down with her elegant pieces of advice. Yuri smoothed her hair out.
"Okay, how do I look?" Yuri had her long hair straightened, sitting against her waist. Her eyes were slightly smoky, but not too much for a lunch out. She wore a casual white dress, sinching perfectly at her waist, but covering her arms with lace to spice up the look. Wedges were the shoe of choice; comfortable, yet sleek. She sighed as she held onto her tan handbag. Jessica smiled.
"You look fine, ANGELIC. He won't be able to resist!" Yuri laughed with Jessica, until a throat cleared in front of her. She looked to see Minho smiling right back at her. He was dressed casual but definitely stylish. His leather jacket was paired with a grey hoodie under. His jeans exposed his long legs for all to see, and his black Nikes gave a twist of Minho to his stylish outfit. Yuri looked down and up, smiling brightly at him. He simply looked at her.
"Hi". He sighed out the greeting. She pulled her hair back behind her ear.
"Hey, how are you?" He smiled.
"I'm great now". She laughed slightly at the words. Jessica tapped her lightly.
Oh crap, Jessica.
"Uh, sorry. Minho, this is Jessica". Jessica gave a slight bow of her head; classy as always. He returned the gesture with a nod and a smile.
"Nice to finally meet someone close to Yuri. Thank you for accompanying her today". Jessica laughed, covering . Always such a lady.
"Oh my, you are as much of a gentleman..and as handsome, as Yuri's been raving. The girls will be so happy to meet you". Yuri lightly slapped her shoulder, embarrassed. Minho laughed that smooth laugh again.
"How..many of you are there?" Jessica waved her hand, dismissing how many there actually were.
"Oh, another 7. You'll be fine". He stiffened slightly, but nonetheless, kept a smile on his face. Jessica clapped her hands gleefully.
"Well, I'll leave you two alone! It was nice meeting you, Minho".
"And the same to you, Jessica". Jessica waved to them both. While Minho was checking his phone, Jessica looked at Yuri. She mouthed the words 'you got this' with thumbs up. Yuri shook her head but soon turned her attention to Minho. He looked up at her smiling.
"Hey, how come I've never seen any of your friends?" Minho froze and laughed awkwardly.
"Well, uh-"
"SURPRISEEEEE". Minho stopped entirely. Yuri turned around to find 2 guys standing in front of her. Were these Minho's friends? Minho refused to look at them, heavily embarrased of the guys in front of him.
"Yes, we are definitely his friends. What a surprise, right?" A bleached-blond boy was motioning to him and the other guy. His fashion sense was flamboyant, for sure. High ankle jeans with a peek of his polka dot socks. Not to mention the tan trench coat and white tee under. All topped off with a slight wing to his eyeliner and tousled yet obviously styled hair. He let out his hand.
"I'm Kibum, but hey, call me Key if you want". Yuri took his hand and nodded slowly. Key, right. A shorter man soon moved in front to see Yuri up close. Wearing ripped jeans and a bomber jacket, he gave off a cool look with his snapback tucked nicely on his head. He smirked.
"And I am Jonghyun. Minho's loyal friend since year 7. Call me anything, and I mean ANYTHING, you want". Minho soon reached for Yuri's waist, pulling her back. She looked at the hand around her waist, but didn't, no, refused to leave his touch.
"Ohhh kay, that's enough you two. How.." Minho took a breath of frustration.
"How did you find me?" Key scoffed.
"Well, obviously you've been raving about this place for like ever, and-" Minho cut him off.
"You followed me didn't you?" Key shrugged, not wanting to deny it. Minho sighed. Yuri laughed nonetheless, smiling at the both of them.
"Well, it's nice to meet you two! I've been wanting to meet Minho's friends. Are there more?" Minho nodded. Key spoke up.
"Yeah, but those two thought we'd be "invading your privacy" so they didn't come". Minho leaned into Yuri's ear while still holding her waist. Her hand was now slightly resting on top of Minho's. Minho felt it and laced his fingers with hers. He could feel the juicy scent of her perfume circling them. He whispered.
"As you can tell, my real friends are the ones that aren't snooping around". Yuri giggled, both with his joke and the hot breath tickling her ear. Jonghyun scoffed.
"Dude, could you not be so lovey-dovey around us. Your manhood is faltering". Minho sighed in Yuri's ear and looked at Jonghyun.
"Says the short man". Jonghyun fumed. Key held him, afraid he'll jump at Minho. Yuri pat Minho's hand lightly, to which he reluctantly let her go.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Yuri. Come by my place anytime. I'll cook you up a storm!" He looked at Minho.
"Oh, and you can come too if you want Minho". Yuri laughed wholeheartedly at the joke. She waved.
"No worries, let me know! Nice to meet you Key..oh and you, Jonghyun". Jonghyun winked before turning off with Key. Mumbles of 'damn it she's so hot' and 'he's a real lucky man' can be heard. Yuri laughed while Minho sighed.
"I hope that wasn't too weird.."
"No no! It was funny, actually! I like your friends". He gasped, but smiled.
"And they certainly like me a great deal so I'm glad that worked". Her laugh rung in Minho's ears once more. He looked into the restaurant and back at Yuri.
"Shall we?" She nodded. As they began to walk in, Yuri felt the need to be brave. Now was her chance. She reached down to hold his hand. At first he didn't react, leaving Yuri to feel embarrased and too frontal. As she tried to let go, he held on tight, and laced his fingers with hers. She looked down at the hands, feeling her heart fill with warmth. A thumb lightly brushed against her hand as they went in, together.

------------------------------------------------

"Minho, I need to go.." She was whispering against Minho's lips. But he refused to budge. Instead, he simply chuckled into his kisses. Her arms were wrapped around his neck, half wanting to move him away but half to keep him there. She was outside her door. She slightly groaned into the kiss, regretfully letting him go.
"I really need to go, come on". He sighed but nodded. As she turned for her door, he shook his head and held her arm lightly to turn her around to him once more. He kept her in an embrace.
"Can't I just hold you a little longer?" She sighed into his chest. She really wanted to not go in, but she needed to. He moved in to try and kiss her again. A shiver ran down her spine as she looked towards the door; she needed to go. Minho felt Yuri visibly shake and looked at her.
"Oh my God, are you okay?" She shook her head, snapping herself out of the trance she was in. She smiled.
"Of course. But I have to go". Before Minho could question, a haste kiss was placed on his lips. He froze everytime. She giggled. She opened the door and went in, but she peeked through the crack of the door.
"Goodnight, Minho". Before he could reply, she closed the door lightly. She layed her body against the door, sighing heavily. It was getting harder to hide this from Minho. She looked up, realising what she needed to do.

------------------------------------------------

Minho and Yuri were walking down the busy streets of Gangnam, keeping their hands laced together. She was slightly leaning onto Minho's arm as they walked. Minho shrugged his arm for Yuri to look at him. She smiled up at him, but Minho frowned slightly. She wasn't as glowing, but was a lot more pale. She'd been tired the past couple of weeks, Minho didn't miss it. I guess exams were coming up for her as well as it did for Minho. He hoped nothing was wrong. Minho must've been lost in thought because Yuri tugged at his arm.
"Where are you going? This is the place!" She laughed, bringing him back to reality. He grinned as she practically dragged him into the dance club; Odori.
Yuri held Minho's hand as she moved them both to the dancefloor. The music changed as they entered, bringing on a different mood. The lights flashed the colours of the rainbow one after the other, a kaleidoscope-like effect painting Yuri's smirk. Minho smirked before he came closer to her. His hands tried to place themselves onto her hips. However, she spun away, dancing as she did so. Playing hard to get, Minho could handle that. He advanced her, eventually spinning her towards him. They were inches away from each other's lips. She then body-rolled away, moving to the beat. He groaned. She was definitely playing with him, and he couldn't resist. She spun towards him, her hair surrounding the air around her, whipping her strong scent in Minho's direction. Sweat lightly glistened her skin, letting her not only glow but shimmer in Minho's eyes. The beat remixed slightly and she stuck to Minho, dancing. Much like Minho's acting, Yuri felt at peace with dancing. Being able to be herself through the movements of her body were enough for her. And right now, her body was telling the world that she was at one with Minho and she couldn't resist him any further. Minho pulled her in for a kiss.
Yuri shivered.
Minho felt it again. He stopped. She turned to another direction in the bar. She then looked back at Minho.
"I uh I'll be right back". She turned and ran to the other side of the club. What the hell just happened. Minho tried to follow, not understanding where she was going. However, the dancing crowd blocked his view and his path. He looked around, trying to catch a glimpse of her. Where on Earth did she go? He reached into his phone, trying to call her.
One rings.
Two rings.
Three rings.
"Whoa, I am so sorry!" He turned to find Yuri gasping for breath, clearly running to reach him. He looked around, then at her.
"Yuri.." He froze, all colour leaving his face. She laughed whilst out of breath.
"I had to go to the bathroom I was like REALLY busting-"
"No, I mean.." He simply pointed at her face. Her nose was bleeding. It wasn't a simple nose bleed. It was almost pouring down her face. She looked down, until she realised. She gasped, and covered it immediately. Minho held her hand.
"Come on, I'm taking you home".

------------------------------------------------

"Minho, I'm FINE". Minho shook his head as he wiped her face, trying to get rid of any further red residue.
"No, you're not. Noone just BLEEDS like that! Shouldn't we go to a doctor?" Yuri sighed. Minho was awkwardly reaching for her while in his drivers seat. The lights of the car were on, the only bright thing on the dark streets of Winter. She was right outside her house, but he refused for her to go until he figured out what he'd do next.
"Minho, I'm okay! I am just..prone to nosebleeds. Don't worry so muc-"
"Yeah, but you've been absolutely exhausted lately. You've gotten paler, and you've been losing your concentration. And your dancing's gotten sloppy because you're so exha-" She stared at him with an eyebrow raised.
"Excuse me?" Minho looked at her.
"What?" She moved his hand away.
"My dancing's gotten sloppy? Of all the things to say to piss me off, you mention my dancing. Well done, Minho". Minho sighed heavily.
"What I mean is that you're not yourself. Is everything okay?" Yuri took out her seatbelt, picking up her bag.
"Goodnight, Minho". She tried to leave the car, but he held a gentle yet firm grip on her arm.
"Yuri.." She looked at him with her eyes glistening slightly. She wrapped her hands over his.
"Goodnight, Minho". She repeated herself. She left to enter her house. Minho groaned in frustration, hitting the steering wheel. What the hell is going in?
Yuri walked into her place, immediately reaching for her phone.
Calling: Jessica Jung
Jessica picked up within seconds.

"Jess, it's happening". Jessica paused, knowing exactly what was wrong. She was in bed, listening intently.
"Yuri, he is not supposed to find out". Yuri understood.
"I get that, but, it's getting harder to hide it". Jessica shook her head.
"Bleeding is the first sign.." Jessica paused.
"Jess?"
Silence.
"It's not good news".

------------------------------------------------

The bleeding was getting worse as time went on. It was getting dangerous, and Jessica knew it. However, Yuri didn't want to listen; her gut instincts were telling her to not care if that was the consequence of her actions. She was doing the right thing; she knew she was. However, this was getting out of hand. Yuri was losing energy more rapidly than ever before. She wasn't sure she could handle this anymore.

------------------------------------------------

"Mate, I don't know what's wrong". Minho was sitting across the couch from Jinki. Jinki nodded, understanding.
"Maybe she's got a weak immune system". Minho shook his head.
"She wasn't like this when I first met her. Something's happened between now and then. I don't know, and it's killing me seeing her so..exhausted all the time. It's like she's fighting for the good of the world or something". Jinki laughed slightly.
"Well, she sounds like a superhero, putting up with you". Minho laughed, throwing a pillow in Jinki's direction. However, he was still at unease. He raked his hands over his black trackies over, nerves taking over.
"What..Jinki, what if she's sick? Something is very wrong. What if she's going to.." Minho stopped. Jinki shook his head profusely.
"She's not, Minho. Just, talk to her. But don't be so rash. Let her do the talking, alright?" Minho nodded, smiling.
"Thanks, man". Jinki gave a comforting smile. Was he sure it was okay for Yuri and Minho? He really wasn't sure.

------------------------------------------------

Calling: Kwon Yuri
No answer.
Again.
She's never missed their Friday sessions at the dance studio. Was something the matter? He tried calling one more time.
One rings.
Two rings.
Three rings.
"H..hello?" Minho's eyes grew wide. She sounded like she'd been running a marathon. He'd never heard her more tired.
"Yuri, it's me". Yuri groaned slightly, sounding like she had just woken up.
It was 10:23PM?
"Hey, what's up?" She breathed out her response.
"Is everything okay, you're not here?" She groaned.
"What? It's not Friday.." Minho looked at the phone in confusion as if he were facing her.
"Uh, yes it is?" The speaker on the phone brought sounds of fumbling, obviously checking her phone. She gasped loudly.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry. I just..I must've slept through.." Minho shook his head.
"Slept through TODAY? Yuri is everything okay? Are you sick?" He heard a cough on her line, but it wasn't Yuri. Yuri breathed in heavily. Someone in the house was sick?
"Hey, I need to go. Mum needs some healing from her little angel". She laughed ever-so silently on the line. The sound of her getting up echoed in Minho's ear.
"I am so sorry, Minho. I'll see you next week, and you won't regret it. I'm sorry once more."
She hung up. Just like that.

------------------------------------------------

When Minho walked into the studio the very next Friday, he was expecting Yuri.
But clearly she thought he was expecting more.
The room was covered from top to bottom in blue; their favourite colour. Blue balloons, blue cupcakes, even blue strands of hair. There was music playing from her album; a new SHINee track. Blue and white lights were hung around, creating a mystical setting. She went all out. She clasped her hands together, wanting to see Minho's reaction. He loved it. He loved her. He moved closer, still looking around the room in amazement. She came to him, still clasping her hands in excitement.
"What do you think?" Her eyes glistened with hope. He met that hope with a kiss on her lips. She smiled into the kiss, and leaned further in. He soon moved away, watching the room in awe.
"WOW, you went all out". She giggled.
"You know this is where I met you, one year ago?" He laughed, remembering the night. The books sprawled across the floor. Yuri's running outfit, clutching her heart in confusion of Minho's outburst. It was from that moment that they knew love at first sight was true. Despite how happy she seemed, she visibly looked weak. He was certain she was getting paler by the day, her dark circles were no longer concealed. Her breathing was much slower and dragged heavily out of her lips.
She was no longer glowing.
He suggested they sit down. She complied. He held her tight as they sat in front of the feast she'd layed out.
"What did you do today?" She sighed.
"My mum's been quite sick lately, so, I've been patching her up". Minho nodded, clutching her tighter.
"Do you know what's wrong..?" She shook her head.
"Not exactly. But there's no harm in me trying to help, right?" Minho nestled his head on top of hers. She was always so giving, but never taking. He wanted to be the one to give to her. Let her know he was right there by her side. And the squeeze of her hand in his was enough for Yuri. She sighed.
"I'm so tired.." Minho looked at her. Her eyes were closed. Was she falling asleep? He lightly shrugged her.
"Yuri, baby?" Her eyelids fluttered.
"Maybe you should go home. I mean, you must be tired from setting all of this for me". She shook her head and got up, visibly having shakey legs.
"But I spent all this time to make this perfect! I don't want to go home". He stood up and held her. She smiled.
"Happy 1 year". He smiled and leaned in to kiss her. Her kisses were always electric, but there was something else. He tasted..copper?
Blood.
He moved back, but she turned straight to the door. Without looking at him, she walked towards the door.
"How about I reanact the time I first met you? Set the mood a bit?" He just stared dumbfounded as she closed the door behind her, staying outside. His fingers grazed his upper lip, swiping. He looked down at his fingers and yes, there was blood. As he was walking towards the door to get her, he heard a hard impact on the floor. He ran towards the door and immediately opened it.
He found Yuri on the floor, unconscious and bleeding heavily from her nose.
Oh my God.
He immediately crouched down, trying to wake her up. He shook her over and over, but nothing.
"Hello? Yuri?" Minho froze. That wasn't him. He looked to Yuri's side to see she was in the middle of a call.
Jessica Jung
Oh thank God. He took the phone to talk to Jessica.
"JESSICA". Jessica stopped for a second.
"Minho? Where's Yuri?" He was trying to keep calm, but it didn't exactly flow that way.
"Yuri was outside the room and she just collapsed. And her nose is bleeding. Do you know anything about this?!" Jessica froze.
"Bring her to my place, I'll look after her". Minho looked at his phone in confusion.
"But Jessic-"
"Just, trust me. I'll text the address to Yuri's phone. Get her to my place immediately". Minho didn't want to agree, but he knew he could trust Jessica. He sighed.
"Fine". He hung up and looked back at Yuri. He looked in the room with all the stuff laying around. Now wasn't the time. He messily wrote a note for the cleaning ladies.
"So sorry all this stuff is here. Emergency. Keep the food for yourself if you wish?"
He packed his and her things and reached down to pick her up. He cradled her in his arms slightly. She was breathing, but much slower. He ran to his car as fast as he could, reclining the passenger's seat slightly so she wasn't so stiffly placed in the seat. He brushed a few strands of hair away from her face and got a tissue to wipe off the residue. Minho sighed heavily.
"There's something about you, Yuri".

------------------------------------------------

"Thank you for bringing her, I'll take over from here". Jessica went close to Yuri, now placed in her bed by Minho. Minho shook his head.
"I'm not leaving". Jessica turned to him slowly.
"But you must". There was something in the tone of her voice. She was serious.
"I can't just leave my girlfriend here. I need to make sure she's okay!" Jessica sighed and lightly touched Yuri's face.
"I know what I'm doing, Minho. Trust me". Minho scoffed.
"But you're not telling me everything. What is going on?" Jessica looked at him with a glint in her eyes. She raised her hand in front of his face. He froze.
"You will do as I say, and you will leave her be. I know it's hard, but trust me." Minho nodded simply and left the room. She heard Minho drive off, and she went to work. It took longer than it should've, but she knew that Yuri had spent almost all the energy she had. Yuri's eyes soon fluttered open. She groaned, holding her head slightly.
"Minho?" Jessica laughed.
"No, but the next best thing". Yuri paused and looked around. She shot up from the bed, confused.
"I was..but I was with Minho.." Jessica nodded.
"Yes, you WERE with Minho. But you collapsed and he brought you here". Yuri looked down.
"What did I tell you?" Yuri shook her head.
"But my mum's getting worse. Medicine isn't working. Her health is depleting-"
"But that doesn't mean you have to use up YOUR energy. This is dangerous, I told you". Yuri stared at the pink bed sheets on top of her.
"I thought I was doing the right thing". Jessica sighed and hugged Yuri.
"I understand that, but don't risk your own well-being-"
Yuri shivered. Jessica let go.
"What is it?" Yuri frantically turned towards the door.
"Yuri?" She crumbled to the ground, screaming. Jessica went down, panicking.
"Yuri, what is it?!" Yuri looked at Jessica with teary eyes.
"Minho".

------------------------------------------------

"But Jessica, I don't want him to die".
"Yuri, it's his time.."
"NO IT'S NOT. It's my fault that he's in this. Please, don't do this. Let me save him. I know I'm not supposed to, but look at him. He isn't meant to go like this".
"You can't reveal who you are now, Yuri".
"I can't let this happen. Please".
"You understand that your energy will run out by doing this?" Yuri nodded, taking all responsibility.
A pause.
"FIne. I can't stop you". Yuri sighed with relief. She knelt down to Minho, still lying on the floor. She took a deep breath. Her hands layed just above Minho's head. With another breath, she soon released her energy. A warm glow surrounded Minho's head as Yuri released her strength through her Ki. She felt herself draining, but she knew that she wasn't done. The wound on Minho's head soon healed up as Yuri continued to heal. Jessica moved towards Yuri.
"Yuri, you're losing strength. Bringing someone from near death back requires more energy than usual. You need to stop." Yuri shook her head.
"I'm almost..done.." She was losing strength. She struggled harder to let the energy flow out. Soon, her nose was bleeding, staining the crystal white floor with scarlet red. The wound finally healed up, and Minho's eyelids showed movement. They soon opened, confused about his surroundings. It was all white, almost blinding. His eyes focused on the figure above him. Yuri was smiling weakly at him, all colour lost on her face. He shrugged himself up.
"Wha..I was in my car..what happened?" He sees Yuri in front of him.
"Yuri!" He hugged her tight, but she didn't return it. He moved her back, looking at her.
"Your nose.." She smiled once more before she collapsed. Minho caught her from crashing to the ground. He stopped.
"YURI". He looked around, and saw Jessica. Jessica?
"Jessica, what's going on? Where am I? I dropped Yuri off at your place, then for some reason I found myself in my car, and I'm here and it's all white and you said you would look after her?!" Jessica sighed.
"You were in a car crash". Minho stared at her.
"I don't quite understand.." Jessica nodded.
"Ok, look. This is going to be very hard to explain. But first". Jessica went towards Yuri and layed her hands slightly over Yuri's head. She closed her eyes in the midst of silence. She channeled her energy and soon a warm glow left her fingertips. Minho stared wide-eyed, unable to make a sound. Jessica gasped and her palms fell onto the ground, trying to hold herself up.
"Y-y-you just-"
"Yes, yes. I just tried to heal Yuri. And she just tried to heal you". Minho froze.
What?
"What?" Jessica sighed.
"See this is why I tell her to be careful, damn it". Minho stared at Yuri's limp body in disbelief.
"So are you like what magical or somethi-"
"We're angels". Minho stopped. This can't be happening.
Why she's never done any wrong?
Why she's so caring of others?
...Why she glows?
Oh my God, she is an angel.
"Her father was an angel, but her mother's mortal. Her mother's been sick lately, so she's been trying to heal her. Problem with that is, the more you use your energy, the more run down you become. Especially in the mortal realm, her powers can never work to their full potential. So everytime she uses her power, she loses energy. But it's gotten to the point where her nose is bleeding, a warning sign she's dangerously low. And when you got into the car crash.." Minho simply stared at Yuri.
"She wanted to heal you. The bond between you two is strong. It's going beyond the mortal realm. She crumbled to the ground the second she felt you were in danger. The problem is I don't know what to do because I tried healing her, but her body's almost rejecting it. Her body is craving something else, but I don't know what". Jessica looked down sorrowfully. She truly was at a loss. Minho's eyes hadn't left the sight of Yuri. He couldn't believe this. She was an angel. And now she's dying. A tear slowly rolled down his cheek.
"Yuri, wake up, please". Jessica looked at him, not understanding what exactly he was trying to do. He held onto her hand.
"You can't leave me like this. I mean, we're in heaven." He turned to Jessica.
"We are aren't we?" Jessica smiled sadly.
"It's more of a limbo. We've left Earth, but aren't exactly in Heaven yet." Minho looked around. Everything was white. All their clothes were white. However, spots of red dotted Yuri's flowing dress. He held Yuri's hand.
"You can hear me. I know you can. Please, respond".
Nothing.
Minho clutched on tighter.
"Minho.." Minho stopped Jessica.
"No, this can't be happening!" Jessica tried to comfort him, but he shrugged her off desperately.
"YURI".
No response.
Minho took a deep breath. Jessica rubbed his back slowly, her voice cracking.
"I'm sorry, Minho". He looked down at Yuri. He slowly wiped the blood on her upper lip, not wanting to see such a harsh last image of her. He leaned in slowly, still holding her hand. He made his way to her lips. He kissed her one last time. Soft, but full of love. He reluctantly moved back, brushing a bit of hair from her face.
"I love you". He closed his eyes.
He froze.
He felt his hand being squeezed.
He opened his eyes and looked down. Yuri's eyelids were fluttering open. Jessica moved back, shocked.
"That's impossible.." Yuri slowly looked around, remembering where she was. She saw Minho holding her hand and looked up at him. His eyes was glassy, not wanting tears to come down. She smiled.
"Hey". He brought her up into his arms and held onto her tight. She returned the embrace, squeezing him close to her. They moved apart to look into each others eyes. Her eyes were glistening; she was glowing once more.
"Ehem". Jessica looked, smiling widely. Yuri got up and hugged her. Jessica looked at Yuri.
"What happened? How are you awake?" Yuri smiled and looked behind her. Suddenly, 7 other girls appeared in front of Minho's eyes. They all glowed, just like Yuri did. They were around the 3 in a circle. The tallest one spoke first.
"Ah, so you're the one who's stolen Yuri's heart?" Minho was perplexed to come up with a response. The tallest laughed.
"Soo, don't scare him". Jessica giggled.
"I'm not. We just wanted to meet him, right girls?" The girls all chorused in agreement. A blonde one soon walked forward.
"It was clear that love would heal more than energy ever will." Minho stared, starting to understand. Well, he thought he did, at least. A beautiful one walked forward, long thin legs striding towards him. Her larger eyes were staring into Minho. As if she were staring into his soul.
"Yuri saved you. But you saved her". Minho looked back at Yuri, with her simply holding his hand. The girl with the larger eyes smiled at her.
"You were supposed to go, Minho. But Yuri changed your fate and took your place". Minho gasped, with Yuri looking down, knowing she fumbled with destiny. A tall yet pale girl walked forward with such elegance. The words that came out of her lips were crisp and proper.
"But we knew it wasn't meant to be her, so, we had to slightly change circumstances". The shortest one walked forward, smiling as bright as the sun.
"But that just means you'll have to keep Yuri in line to make sure she doesn't abuse her powers". Minho nodded, understanding his responsibility now. He brought Yuri closer.
"I will". Yuri smiled but still looked down. A girl with a bright eyesmile watched from afar.
"Isn't love just so beautiful?" Her pink nails lightly wiped at a tear. The last girl came forward, clapping her hands for everyone's attention.
"Ladies, we must leave." The girls understood and walked back towards what looked like the leader. But she came forward to Minho. She let out a hand.
"It was lovely to meet you Minho. Thank you for all you've done. I trust you'll keep Yuri safe? Love and protect her? Be at one?" Minho smiled, nodding. The girl smiled.
"Great. Maybe we'll meet another time. Possibly for a lunch?" She laughed, hers ringing much like Yuri's. She soon turned, whispering to the girl with the pink nails.
"Maybe one of Minho's mortal friends could be of service". The pink nailed girl giggled at the thought. They all turned to face Minho and Yuri, a wave goodbye before they vanished. Minho blinked.
"So, uh, those were the other friends you were talking about?" Yuri nodded shyly. He held her hand tighter.
"I like them". She smiled.
"And they like you". Jessica cleared .
"I think it's time to take you two back". Yuri looked at Minho, smiling. He looked at her.
"I love you, Yuri". She wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I love you too, Minho". They leaned in for a kiss as they were transported back to the real world.
Their world.
