Description

He always asks if you can fall in love with him. But your only answer was: "I already have."

Foreword

You rock back and forth on your little wooden chair, watching your son cooking you dinner. The wrinkles around your eyes deepen as he places the boiling bowl of soup on the table and flashes a small smile. You return with a small nod and open your arms for a hug; the burning of the tears in your eyes becoming unbearable. The both of you cry as tears cascade down the hollows of your cheeks.

You stare at your son. All grown up; well into his late twenties. He was a handsome fellow; a heartbreaker for sure. Those words were said when you had first given birth to him and your husband had muttered them against your lips. Your son carried all the aspects of his father's face; his eye-smile, his pudgy cheeks and that dashing grin.

"Father will be okay," your son reassured you, rubbing your back.

Both of your gazes turn to the man resting on the old wrinkly bed in the back. Your heart is ripped apart when you see that the love of your life has woken up again but with that look. That blank look that scanned the room in fear.

The eyes that stared at you with such curiousity all the time has now become a blank canvas because of one thing:

Your husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

But that didn't stop the love that immediately rushed to his eyes when he laid them on your figure.

What's up Kiddos!

So, here I am...another attempt at an Onew story xD I KNOW I have "Onew's Wild Life" on a MAJOR hold but I couldn't help but stop and write this. I know this is SUPER out of no where but I was inspired because a little story my friend told me touched my heart a lot.

I had a childhood friend who I recently contacted and she told me all about her life but the thing that upset her the most was that her grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and it obviously wasn't a cheesy fic but she said that every time her grandfather woke up or lost his inability to remember or do anything; he would look at his wife and all the life and love that was erased appeared in his eyes again, even if it was for only a second.

Sounds so cliche :p I KNOW, but IDK if my friend was just romanticizing it or something xD

****I'm not a doctor or an expert at diseases of anything AT ALL. So if one of the events happening in this story is not medically accurate or anything is off; I apologize. I am purely writing this because I "awwed" like a little baby at my friend's story and just had a urge to write this fic.
