Chapter 15

“Don’t be angry. I bought you this,” Min Seok said, scared, and handed her the cotton candy.

Ji Eun took the cotton candy and burst out laughing. Min Seok beamed as Ji Eun, cutely, ate bits of the cotton candy.

“So are you still hurt?” he asked.

“I was never hurt,” Ji Eun replied.

“Whattt?? So I bought you this cotton candy for nothing.” Min Seok pretended to scowl.

Ji Eun glared at him and teased, “Heyy, it was your fault I fell down.”

“But didn’t you say that you fell down on your own?” Min Seok argued.

“Yea, that was because you looked so worried,” she teased.

“Of course, who wouldn’t be if the person they liked fell down?” He said and looked directly into her eyes. He reached for her cheeks and pinched them. Ji Eun’s eyes widened and silence flowed between them.

Ji Eun didn’t know what to respond and looked at her watch. She got surprised that it was already 11 pm.

“Min Seok, we have to get back,” Ji Eun said with alarm and got up.

Min Seok was a bit hurt that she didn’t say anything back to his confession but followed her after taking the dolphin. However, he hoped she would accept his confession one day. He reached up to her outside and called for a taxi.

As they were waiting for the taxi, Ji Eun imagined her parents shouting at her and remembered about Sunmi and thought to herself *You are such a bad friend, Ji Eun. You said you were going on this date to help Sunmi and Min Seok know better, but you haven’t yet. There is only a little time. You have to help your best friend, Ji Eun.
