“Yuri, you are not to disobey me anymore & you wll be married to this man next week & this is not a request.” “Is this the birthday present?” Yuri asked, narrowing her eyes while looking at an evil looking old man in front of her. Yunho stood beside her, stunned. It’s her birthday & she didn’t tell him? What’s going on?

“Yes, this is it & you should be glad that I gave it to you.” Her father said, while Yuri gave him a dirty look. She said no more & stormed out of the place immediately.

“Yuri, wait. You will trip if you run that fast.” Yunho panted, while his face reddened miserably as he chased after the beautiful girl in her beautiful dress that fits her perfectly trimmed body perfectly. Her earrings jingled, serenading the night, making immersing sounds that made Yunho’s heart deeply moved. Her hair were flowing in the wind of the night, shimmering in the darkness as if it’s being the stars that lights the gentleman’s way towards her.

“Yul, stop running away!” Yunho cried again, running after her a little bit faster.

She can’t possibly run much faster than him. He’s not an athlete, yes, that’s true but the dear girl is wearing her pump & she couldn’t possibly run much faster, could she? Of course not, but what he didn’t know was that Yuri ran with her heels off, agonizing her delicate feet.

“Yuri!” Yunho cried again in misery.

The tuxedo that he’s wearing seems to be strangling him to death & he’s suffocating at the way that his bowtie hugged his neck at his collar. Yunho curse at the way it made him feel & his fingers fumbled onto it busily while he followed Yuri through the darkness.

She ascended the stairs to another world, the world that terrified her all the time. None of those frightening thoughts is her priority now; none of those horrible thoughts about being eaten by basement monsters & childhood boogeyman haunts her anymore. She only wants to run away & hide from her intense sadness & sorrow.

When she finally stopped & halted from her run, she seek refugees in herself by collapsing onto her knee & slowly, she curled herself tightly into a human ball & sobbed silently, mysteriously.

“Yuri.” Yunho called, her name softly & kneeled down in front of her, listening to the sound of sadness that played in her soul.

“I’m alright.” She whispered, after a long eternity that hurtled Yunho’s mind.
