The truth

"Daddy? Mom and I will have 5D date, we'll go to in Wonderland with Alice, don’t you like to join us?" Lauren asks her father while they're having her favorite chocolate ice cream.

Minhyuk sigh, he can’t an answer for her wants to make sure that Lauren will not be mad at him on the next day because he will bring Rachel to her favorite resort after his prososal. Even he will get a yes or a no, he will still wait and give Rachel everything that will make her happy, Minhyuk thought

"Oh baby, dad can't, sorry" Minhyuk said not looking at the kid's eyes. Lauren look at her dad

"Why dad?"

"I have work baby" Minhyuk lies. Lauren just accepts the answer and continue her ice cream. Minhyuk don't want to hurt his daughter, he can't hurt his daughter, his precious one

He was about to stand to get his car when suddenly, Lauren asks. “Dad, do you love mommy?” The girl asks innocently. It’s been years and no one ask him that, he’s been praying that no one will ask him that, but now, his daughter did

Minhyuk breathed and look at his daughter “Ofcourse dad loves mom because she’s taking care of baby Lauren and she’s dad’s friend” Minhyuk said, that’s the safest answer he can give, he thought. The kid look at him, showing a confused eyes

“Friends? Then why you have Lauren?” The kid asks. Minhyuk sigh, he’s not ready for this questions, he’s not ready how to tell the girl the truth

“Baby, you will not understand because you’re still a baby” he said and the girl’s face.

“My classmates live with their mom and dad, and they’re mom and dad are married.. why mommy is still a Jung? Why you’re not married? If I will have a friend when I grow up, can we have a daughter too even if we’re not married?” The girl asks. Minhyuk knelt infront of Lauren as he heard it. All his life he wants to be a good father to Lauren, to be a model to her, but now he can’t even tell him the right and wrong

“Baby, when you grow up, you’ll understand” Minhyuk said. Lauren just nod and encircled her arms around her dad’s neck
Minhyuk carry Lauren and kisses her hair. He feel so bad for his daughter, he never thought that all her life, she’s confused

“Bye daddy” Lauren peck her dad’s lips and Minhyuk put her down. He’s worried for his daughter and he hates his self for being a bad father, that’s what he feels this moment

Minhyuk smiles at his daughter, who is running at her mom, in the balcony, smiling, with her arms spread, ready to hug their daughter. He breathed, tonight, he’s going to ask his girlfriend to marry him, and he knows, this moment, he’s killing the chance that Lauren will get her wish, to have married parents

Minhyuk starts the engine, not looking back to his daughter, and his first love

“What will you do when we grow up?” Krystal asked, she was just nine, in fourth grade. Minhyuk is in sixth grade. They’re friends, and as like other kids, they doesn’t know what is love, but they feel it

“I will marry you” Minhyuk smiles and pinches her nose. That answer made the girl rolled her eyes, but the boy meant it

“We’re just kids” the girl protest

“Yes, that’s why I am going to marry you, when we’re already in legal age” the boy smiles, making his eyes disappear

“You’re odd” The girl rolled her eyes again

“Yes, I will do that” Minhyuk pinches her nose again

“Yah! Stop that!” the girl stomp “You’re just saying that because your friend told you” the girl said. Little Minhyuk smiles

“Ofcourse I meant it, I will marry you, when we grow up” The boy smiles

“Why?” Little Krystal asks, blushing, she can’t hide the fact that the butterflies inside her stomach are flying because of joy

“Because when you’re already my wife, I can kiss you anytime I want” the boy tucks
