you eventually realize, it was not the same for her.

Little Jessica walked to the park near her new house. Her skirt was wet from her tears. Her shoes were already lumpy from the mud she stepped on. She kept sobbing, not wanting to stop. Her hands rubbed her eyes again and again until it was all red. 

She stopped when she saw a girl near the swing. The girl was alone, looking at the sunny sky with a smile. The clouds just finished pouring its rain drops, and now you could clearly see the sun shine. That girl, admiring the rainbows up there, realized Sica who was looking at her. She looked at Sica's red eyes and dirty shoes. Sica looked back at her, trying to hold her own tears.

Sica hiccupped a few times. She took a deep breath, trying to stop it. She felt like crying and sobbing again. Her hand gripped the edge of her skirt tightly. She bit her teeth as hard as she can. Until suddenly the girl on the swing jumped down.

"Hi there!" She called, waving at Sica. The girl ran and approached Sica. She didn't seem to care with the mud splatting around her dress. On the other side, little Jessica only looked at her, still trying to hold back her tears.

When she finally reached Sica, she stopped and stood right in front of her. Looking up close, she seemed to be on the same age as Sica. The girl had this wide smile on her face, craving all the way to her cheeks. At first, Sica felt like running away. Mother always told her to stay away from strangers. 

She was a stranger. Sica knew nothing about her. 

But her feet were too tired to run away. Her hands were already worn off by gripping. Her face limped down, showing the problems she had passed. The 'stranger' got to look at all of that, up close. 

Unlike other girls who would push Sica and stomp her heart, this girl didn't. Instead, she stood back up and smiled again. She opened her mouths, not to blabber things Sica didn't want to know, but quite the opposite.

Words that Sica herself always wanted to hear...,

"Do you want to play?"
