Kyuhyun dropped down onto the couch and put the lower arm over his eyes.

 

He heard his hyung’s sit around together and laugh.

 

He smiled to himself but then sighed.

 

He wanted to sit down with his hyung’s and laugh like that too.

 

But it was asking for the impossible.

 

His hyung’s were with their girlfriends.

 

They had already found one.

 

Every single one of them.

 

Kyuhyun sighed and then got up from his couch.

 

He opened his legs and put one elbow in each leg.

 

He grasped his hands together and propped his forehead against his fist.

 

He couldn’t believe that he was the only guy that didn’t have a girlfriend yet.

 

“Oppa…” Kyuhyun looked up and then suddenly, he smiled.

 

It was his stylist.

 

Shim Daeyang.

 

Daeyang smiled down at Kyuhyun and took a chair to sit next to him.

 

“Oppa…”

 

Daeyang began and Kyuhyun smiled.

 

He leaned back against the couch and waited for her to speak.

 

Daeyang took out her hand bag, opened her wallet and took out two tickets.

 

“I got two tickets for a movie premiere…”

 

Daeyang said and then she smiled sadly to herself.

 

Kyuhyun looked at her.

 

What was she getting at? Kyuhyun thought to himself.

 

“I was supposed to go with my namjachingu but…” Daeyang trailed off and sniffled.

 

Kyuhyun smiled at her and then held out his hand for one of the tickets.

 

“Can I come?” He asked.

 

Daeyang wiped a tear off the brim of her eyes and handed a ticket to Kyuhyun.

 

“Ne…I wanted to ask but I didn’t know how…”

 

Kyuhyun smiled and took the ticket.

 

“When is it?”

 

She smiled and said,

 

“It’s tomorrow evening at about 8pm. You want to meet outside the movies?”

 

Kyuhyun smiled and replied,

 

“You wanna go have dinner together before we go to the cinemas?”

 

Daeyang stared at Kyuhyun.

 

“U-umm…sure…”

 

Kyuhyun smiled.

 

“Kyuhyun!” Leeteuk hyung called Kyuhyun.

 

Kyuhyun and Daeyang stood up.

 

Kyuhyun and Daeyang looked at each other.

 

“I’ll…see you tomorrow then? I’ll call you?” Kyuhyun asked her and she nodded.

 

Kyuhyun smiled and then walked out.

The next day seemed to arrive quicker than normal for Kyuhyun.

 

At about 5pm, he called Daeyang.

 

“Annyeong? Daeyang-ssi?”

 

“Kyuhyun oppa! Annyeong! Are we having dinner now?”

 

Kyuhyun smiled at hearing her voice.

 

“You wanna go eat ja chang mian?”

 

Kyuhyun heard her whoop with joy.

 

“You like eating it?”

 

Kyuhyun asked through the phone.

 

“Majayo! Just because I’m Korean it doesn’t mean I don’t like Chinese food!”

 

Kyuhyun hit his forehead.

 

“I’m so stupid!”

 

They both laughed and didn’t say anything for awhile.

 

“So, did you want me to meet you outside your place or the restaurant?”

 

“The restaurant is fine. I’ll be out in a few and I think I know which restaurant you’re talking about.”

 

Daeyang teased and Kyuhyun smiled.

 

“Ne. I’ll see you then?”

 

“Ne! Annyeong oppa!”

 

“Annyeong.” Kyuhyun said and then hung up.

 

He smiled to himself.

 

This was the first time he had gone out alone with a girl.

 

His first date with another girl since he became a part of Super Junior.

 

He continued smiling to himself and walked slowly towards the shop.

 

He put his ear phones in and plugged it other side of the ear phone into his iPhone.

 

He began to scroll around his iPhone and stopped at his hoobae’s; SHINee.

 

He smiled.

 

They were really good, he had to admit.

 

But not better than we are, Kyuhyun thought and he smiled.

 

Just as he was about to press play he heard someone squeal behind him,

 

He turned to look behind him and saw a girl hug another guy really tightly.

 

“Jinjja oppa? Jinjja?” The girl literally shouted.

 

Kyuhyun stopped walking and stopped to watch them, like some other of the other pass by’s.

 

The boy nodded and pecked her on the lips.

 

“I’m going to break up with her today. So we can be together now!” The boy said with a smile.

 

The girl squealed again and hugged him tighter.

 

Kyuhyun stared at the boy with hatred.

 

When Kyuhyun was having trouble finding a yeojachingu, the guy had two girls on his hands.

 

He turned around and unlocked his iPhone so that he could listen to his music.

 

After the first two songs of SHINee’s new album, Up & Down and Lucifer, he felt someone tap gently on his shoulder and he turned around.

 

There, standing with a smile on her face was Daeyang.

 

Kyuhyun unplugged his ear phones from his ears and closed his iPhone.

 

“Annyeong Daeyang-ssi!”

 

She gave him a small wave and then pointed towards the door of the restaurant.

 

“Let’s go in. I’m really hungry oppa!” She whines and drags him in.

 

Kyuhyun laughs.

 

Just as they were getting seated, Kyuhyun saw her smile freeze.

 

Kyuhyun turned to look at where she was looking and saw that boy with the girl walk in towards them.

 

As they were walking towards them, the waiter showing them to a two seated table behind them, the boy froze and stopped walking.

 

The girl looked at the boy and where he was looking at and saw Daeyang.

 

Kyuhyun was confused now.

 

Did they know each other?

 

The girl smiled and nudged the boy.

 

“Go on Mookwang-ssi…didn’t you want to talk with her?”

 

The boy looked down at the girl and then back at Daeyang.

 

Kyuhyun knew that something bad was going to happen.

 

He got up hurriedly and grabbed her hand.

 

“Let’s go eat somewhere else. I know another shop somewhere else in downtown that has really good ja jang mian too..” 

 

Kyuhyun began to walk past the boy but was suddenly pulled back.

 

He turned around and saw Daeyang’s other hand was getting held onto by the boy.

 

“We need to talk Daeyang...” The boy said solemnly.

 

She didn’t say anything for a bit but then she turned to Kyuhyun and said, almost whispering.

 

“Oppa…can I talk to him for a bit…?”

 

Kyuhyun looked at her and to the guy.

 

He slowly and reluctantly let go.

 

Han smiled to Kyuhyun and then walked out of the restaurant.

 

Kyuhyun didn’t know why he did that.

 

He felt his heart clench at him as he saw the back of Daeyang disappear.

 

He wanted to protect her.

 

He wanted to protect her from getting hurt.

 

He wanted to stop her heart bleeding once she knew that her namjachingu was breaking up with her.

 

He wanted to protect her smile.

 

Her beautiful and alluring smile.

After a few more minutes, the boy came back in alone and held onto the other girl’s hand.

 

“Let’s go and eat now! I’m so hungry!” The boy said to the girl and she laughed and sat down behind where Kyuhyun and Daeyang had just sat down at.

 

Kyuhyun was getting worried now.

 

He ran outside and looked both ways.

 

She was no where to be seen.

 

Suddenly, he saw the back of a familiar figure.

 

He ran towards the figure and pulled her back to look at him.

 

He came face to face with Daeyang.

 

Tears were streaming down her face but she hurriedly wiped them away when she realized that Kyuhyun was looking at her.

 

She smiled at Kyuhyun.

 

“Joesonghamnida oppa…I’m not feeling too well today…you go watch the movie premiere…mianhae…”

 

She smiled and began to back away.

 

Kyuhyun dragged Daeyang back and hugged her.

 

“Don’t go…”

 

Kyuhyun let go of Daeyang and looked down at her who was staring a him.

 

“I love you…” Kyuhyun said quietly.

 

She stared at Kyuhyun.

 

“But…how come…?”

 

Daeyang didn’t get a chance to finish speaking.

 

Kyuhyun didn’t let her speak.

 

“I’ve never had a girlfriend before. I don’t know the feeling of being loved and loving some one.”

 

Kyuhyun looked down Daeyang.

 

“But when the guy took you away from me, I suddenly realized that I want to protect you that I don’t want you to get hurt. I love you.”

 

Kyuhyun repeated again.

 

She didn’t say anything.

 

“I know that I never took you out on a date and I never asked you out…but I know now. Please, will you be my yeojachingu? Je bal?”

 

Daeyang looked at Kyuhyun.

 

“I’ll give you a chance.” She said to Kyuhyun.

 

Kyuhyun looked at her.

 

“What do I have to do to get you to be my girlfriend?”

 

She smiled at Kyuhyun.

 

“Come with me to the movie premiere?”

 

Kyuhyun laughed and held onto her hand.

 

“Anything for you ma’am.”

 

Daeyang laughed and they began to walk hand in hand.

 

“But I’m hungry so can we eat first?”

 

She asked again.

 

Kyuhyun laughed and said yes.

 

As they walked towards the shop that sold the noodles, Daeyang stopped Kyuhyun.

 

“Can we go eat in here?”

 

Kyuhyun looked at her and then said,

 

“But…”

 

“Gwaenchanayo.”

 

Kyuhyun stared at her and then nodded with a smile.

 

“Kaja.” She said to Kyuhyun and they both went inside together.

 

They still ended up sitting in the same place.

 

Kyuhyun looked at Daeyang and could tell that she was feeling uncomfortable.

 

When their noodles came, someone was just about to perform on the stage in the restaurant.

 

Kyuhyun suddenly stood up and she looked up surprised.

 

“I’ll be right back.” Kyuhyun reassured Daeyang and she nodded.

 

Kyuhyun walked up to the guy on the stage that was just about to perform on the piano and whispered to him.

 

The guy smiled and walked off stage.

 

Kyuhyun walked in front of the chair and said to everyone.

 

“Annyeonghaseyo. I am Choi Kyuhyun and I would like to sing a song to my future yeojachingu.”

 

Kyuhyun saw Daeyang’s gaze widen and he smiled at her.

 

He pointed to her and said loudly,

 

“That’s my future girlfriend over there.”

 

She smiled nervously to the few heads that looked at her.

 

“I’m going to sing a song for her.”

 

Kyuhyun sat down by the piano and began to play.

 

As he sang, he looked at Daeyang who was blushing like madly.

 

When he had finished he stood up and bowed.

 

“Kamsahamnida.” 

 

Everyone in the store clapped.

 

Kyuhyun walked off and walked towards Daeyang.

 

He sat down.

 

She smiled and blushed.

 

“Come on. Let’s hurry and eat and then we’ll go and catch that movie arraso?”

 

She smiled, nodded and then began to eat.

 

When they had finished they walked out, hand in hand, chatting.

 

Once they had reached the cinema’s they went up to the food counter.

 

“Annyeonghaseyo. Could we have one large box of popcorn and two medium cokes please?” Kyuhyun said and began taking out his wallet but Daeyang stopped him.

 

“Aniyo. I’m paying this time.”

 

Kyuhyun smiled and shook his head.

 

“You gave me the movie tickets and their more expensive than popcorn.”

 

She began to protest but Kyuhyun broke her off.

 

“And noodles.”

 

Daeyang sighed and removed her hand off Kyuhyun’s wallet and he smiled.

 

He paid and then they both walked into the cinema that they were watching the movie in.

 

The movie started at 8.10 pm because of all the ads.

 

It ended at 11pm.

 

“Wow, that was long.” Kyuhyun said stretching.

 

Daeyang nodded and then yawned.

 

“I’m tired…”

 

She said quietly and Kyuhyun smiled.

 

“Come on,”

 

 Kyuhyun took her hand.

 

“I’ll walk you home.”

 

She nodded and smiled.

 

As they walked home together, their hands and fingers entwined in every possible way, they were both thinking about how they should end the day.

 

When they were right outside Daeyang’s apartment, she turned to face Kyuhyun.

 

“Gomawo oppa…for taking me to dinner today. And…”

 

She stopped and Kyuhyun knew that he wasn’t going to get the answer he wanted today.

 

He didn’t think he would anyway.

 

She looked up.

 

“Thank you for being for me.”

 

Kyuhyun smiled.

 

“Anieyo.”

 

They looked at each other and smiled.

 

Suddenly, a drunk man came out of the darkness and grabbed Daeyang by her hand.

 

“Pretty girl…you wanna spend the night with me today? I’m rich~”

 

She was disgusted and she pushed him away.

 

“Aniyo! I already have a boyfriend!”

 

The man stared at Daeyang and then shrugged.

 

“Whatever.”

 

He swaggered away.

 

She sighed.

 

Suddenly, she felt a pair of eyes on her and she looked up to see a bemused, confused and loving Kyuhyun.

 

Daeyang blushed as she suddenly realized what she had just said to that man and didn’t say anything.

 

“Does that mean you’re my yeojachingu now?”

 

Kyuhyun asked quietly.

 

Daeyang looked up at Kyuhyun.

 

She suddenly smiled and nodded.

 

Kyuhyun stared at her.

 

Suddenly, they were hugged each other.

 

“I love you.”
