A little cut here, a little blood there. One turned into two, two into four. Soon enough, the expanse of his thighs were soaked with that thick, red liquid that oozed out of those many fresh cuts. He didn’t stop there. No, not when he could still feel the pain in his chest, the emotional pain that caused more tears to spill than any kick or punch he’d ever received. But what could he do about it? He was alone, even if there were people by his side every day, Luhan felt that he couldn’t just up and tell them about his problems. He had no one to turn to. Luhan never knew why it was always him to suffer. Why him, why not his ex, or his bullies, or maybe his cousin? That question replayed itself in his mind, the shower long forgotten and still running, washing away the blood that stained his thighs. The cold droplets of water brought a stinging sensation when it came into contact with his open cuts, but Luhan couldn’t find himself hating it. He wondered when this seemingly eternal pain would cease to exist?
