24th January 2014, Seoul, Incheon Airport

“Unnie! Wait for me!” A brunette screamed, not caring about the people looking her way. The brown haired girl sighed as she turned to look at her sister. 

“God, Krys, can you get any louder?” Jessica grumbled as she slowed to a stop to wait for her sister. “You left me alone in the arrival area!” Krystal whined as she finally caught up. “I told you to stop staring at that math equation group, didn’t I?” 

“They are called f(x), unnie!” Krystal retorted as she sat on the trolley her sister is pushing. “Hey get your lazy bum off!” Jessica said as she clicked her tongue in disapproval. “I don’t want to!” Krystal turned and stuck her tongue out at her sister. 

Shaking her head, Jessica laughed as the two sisters walked through the crowd in the airport, ignoring all the stares everyone is giving them.

Suddenly, Krystal felt her world turning around. “Ouch…” She groaned as she picked herself off the ground. “Oh my god, are you okay?” A voice asked, panicking. Looking up, she saw a tanned girl looking at her, concerned. 

“Hey are you blind!” Jessica snapped at the stranger as she helped her sister up. “It’s okay, unnie, I am okay.” Krystal said as she tried to calm her over protective sister. “Firstly, I am not blind, Secondly, I apologised!” The tanned girl retorted as she crossed her arms. 

“Firstly, you knocked over such a big trolley so isn’t it obvious that you cannot see properly? Secondly, apologising won’t help if my sister got hurt!” Jessica snapped back. The tanned girl was obviously pissed as she opened to retort only to get cut off. 

“Yuri unnie! What are you doing?” A girl called out as she walked towards the trio, with one trying to calm the other two fuming women. All three heads turned to the source of the voice. “Seohyun!” Yuri called out as she went over to hug the girl. “Seohyun unnie!” Krystal squealed as she ran over. 

“Hey Krystal, Jessica unnie!” Seohyun smiled as she hugged Krystal. “You know them?” Yuri asked, surprised. “Yeah, they are the ones we are supposed to pick up, unnie.” Seohyun replied as she waved to Jessica, who smiled at her. “Anyway, she is Kwon Yuri, my cousin, but it seems like it’s an unpleasant first meeting.” Seohyun said as she chuckled. 

Jessica didn’t say more but glared at the tanned girl, which was reciprocated soon after. Leaving the bickering duo alone, Krystal dragged Seohyun to their car and chatted with her happily while ignoring the dark aura ignited by the two behind.

“Here’s your school your father assigned both of you to go to. Jessica unnie will be attending SM University whereas Krystal will be attending SM High School. These two schools are just beside each other in the same campus. Jessica unnie, you are going to major in music as per requested. School starts tomorrow for both of you, don’t be late!” Seohyun said as she passed Jessica and Krystal their schedules. 

“Like unnie will ever be early.” Krystal snickered as she ignored the glare sent to her by her sister. “For today, your father told you both to unload your things and pack up the house.” Seohyun informed as she brought the sisters luggage into the mansion with Yuri’s help.

“We are not kids anymore, that old man worries too much.” Jessica sighed as she brought her luggage into the house. 

“You act like a brat.” Yuri muttered as she unloaded the luggages. 

“Excuse me?!” Jessica snapped as she spins around to glare at Yuri. Sensing another round of bickering by the duo, Krystal quickly dragged her sister in and sent her thanks to the tanned girl who stuck her tongue out at the ice princess and waved goodbye to her cousin who will be staying with the sisters.

“That rude black !” Jessica grumbled as she plopped down on the couch. “Unpack your things, lazy bum!” Krystal said as she pulled Jessica off the couch. 

Grumbling, Jessica reluctantly went to her room and unpacked her luggage. 

“Seohyun, are you going to make dinner?” Jessica shouted to the woman downstairs in the kitchen. “Yes unnie!” “Thanks!” Jessica shouted back before plopping herself down onto her bed. 

Hearing the sound of something flying to her, Jessica immediately stretched her hands out and caught the pillow before it hit her in the face. “Urgh, are you going to catch the pillow every time I throw it at you? How do you do that?” Krystal grumbled as she went back to her room, disgruntled after her failed attempt. 

Jessica merely chuckled at her sister’s childish antics but deep inside, she was troubled. Recently, images had been flashing in her head that she does not recall experiencing at all. Shaking her head, she arranged her pillows in a better position and went to sleep.

“Soojung! Unnie will get your favorite mango ice cream!”

 “Yes sir, we did it.”

“Give me the gun.”

“ARGH!” Sooyeon screamed as she felt searing pain-

“NO!” Jessica screamed as she shot up, cold sweat pouring down her forehead. “What happened unnie!” Krystal and Seohyun barged into Jessica’s room only to see the room owner clutching her head and mumbling, “It hurts, why does it hurts so much?”

Krystal immediately rushed to Jessica’s side as she took her sister into her arms, comforting her, whereas Seohyun frowned and went out to make a phone call.

“Hawk? It seems like Jessica unnie is remembering. She is recalling about how Sooyeon unnie died. What should we do? Are we going to tell Uncle James?”

“What are you saying? It’s because of #0018?”

“But she didn’t remember for the past few years! Why now?”

“What if she remembers?”

“If she breaks…?”

Seohyun dropped her phone as she felt emotions surging through her. Looking back into Jessica’s room, at how Krystal is comforting her sister, she was scared for the first time since J9 was created.
