While I was going downstairs, I left my eye glasses in my room. I went back to my room and wore my eye glasses. I went

downstairs and I saw my umma preparing break fast. I got my lunch and refused to eat my break fast. My mom hand signalled

me that I should eat my break fast or else something bad will happen to me.

"I'm not going to eat my break fast" I said as I got my lunch and placed it inside my bag. I went out without saying good bye to her. 

I went to our school with a big eyebugs on my face. I sat down on my chair. Our classes started. I felt dizzy and I was not paying

attention to our class. This is the first time that I was not paying attention to our class.

"Xenia Kwon!" my teacher exclaimed as he looked at me

I shooked my head and looked at him

"Why are you not participating in our class? Are you like that because you're already genuis? Listen to our discussion!" he said as he 

rolled his eyes on me

"Ne" I bowed down

Classes ended and started. I don't have friends in this school except for Gongchan. Nobody wants to be friends with me because

they think I'm weird even though I'm one of the genuis in our school. Nobody wants to friends with me. I went outside the classroom

to eat my lunch. While I was going out of the classroom. I felt dizzy so I fell down and I felt that someone caught me behind. I opened

my eyes first but I can't see his face. I can't hear anything. And I closed my eyes. 

When I opened my eyes, I saw all white. White ceilings, white walls, white blankets and white pillows. I realized that I was in our

school clinic. I felt my head still hurts. I was trying to sat up until I saw Gongchan walking towards me. He hurriedly helped me.

I sat up and sighed.

"Are you now okay?" he asked as he was touching my head

I nodded

"What happened to you a while ago?"

I shrugged my shoulders "Why are you here? You're supposed to be in your class"

"Classes already ended just a few minutes ago"

"Chincha?" I answered weakly

"I'll be accompanying you in going to your house"

"I don't want to go home"

His eyes went huge "Why?"

Tears started to fall from my eyes "My mom has a leukemia and I only knew it yesterday. Her leukemia started a year ago"

"Chincha?" he sat beside me

I nodded. Tears fell from my eyes down to my cheek

"You should go home and be with your umma. We don't know when your umma is going to die. What if, she's going to die tomorrow?

You should be with her with the last days of her life. You don't know how your umma loves you. I can tell that your umma really loves

you. Look, she really did not leave you in despite that your appa left you. She was there to care for you even though your appa is not

there by your side anymore"

I looked at Gongchan "You're my only true friend in my entire whole life. I have a friend when I was young but he went to another school.

After that, I don't have any friends anymore because no one wants to be my friends"

"I'm here. I can be your friend for your whole entire life and I'll always be" he said as he hugged me

"Gomawo" I said as I was sobbing

He let go of me. He wiped the tears in my face "Let's go home now"

I nodded and smiled at him. I stood up and he gave me my bag. We walked going to my house. I stopped in front of our house and looked

at Gongchan.

"Gongchan-sshi, gomawo" I smiled at him

"No problem" he smiled at me

"I'll be going now inside" I waved at him

He waved back at me

I went inside the house. I saw my mom watching the television, all by herself. I ran towards her and hugged her tightly.

She hugged me.

"Umma, Mianhe" I said while hugging her

I let go of her and I cried again. She hand signalled that it's okay and she's sorry for not telling me earlier that she had leukmia. 

She promised me that she'll take care of me while she's still by my side. I hand signalled her that I'll be sleeping starting tonight

with her. She gave me a huge smile and hugged me tightly. We ate our dinner and after we ate our dinner, I helped her in 

washing the dishes. After we washed the dishes, I went to my room. I wrote in my diary about what happened today. How

good Gongchan was in giving me advices. I kept on crying while writing my diary. I felt sleepy so I decided to get my pillow

and went to my umma's room. She was lying down in her bed. I crawled on her bed. She was smiling when she saw me

lying beside her. I hugged her tightly and closed my eyes to sleep. Umma, I'm really going to miss you. Gongchan, thank

you for the advice.
