What Doesn't Kill Us
Description
When Taeyang gets out of prison he doesn't care about his future until he meets the one girl in the neighborhood who doesn't care about his past.
Foreword
Dear Dong Youngbae,
no, you go by Taeyang now don't you?
they called you that because no matter how many blows
how many broken bones
you would rise as surely as the burning morning sun.
For six years you were locked away
with nothing but your own bones and flesh laying on a hard mattress.
Other men counted the seconds
the minutes
the hours
the days
but you couldn't bear that pain,
the pain of waiting.
Of hoping, dreaming.
Of tomorrow.
In a room by yourself you were devoured by thought.
You are not a body,
you are a beautiful complex mind.
You don't believe me now, but when you meet her you will.
And you will learn the sweetness of waiting.
Of hoping, dreaming.
Of tomorrow.
This is a story for msvickie's Taeyang-centered writing contest which you should all check out! I used the prompt: "What defines us is how well we rise after falling." - Anonymous. This story will be mostly lighthearted and for once in my writing career there won't be any nerve wracking love triangles. There is a big fun twist to the story which makes it different from others so look forward to that.
