Lunch was almost over, the Kims were still screaming and pulling at Yuri who was just laughing at each of them. On my end, Dara and her friends were pining trying to get me to talk about what happened between me and Yuri.

“PLEASE SOOYOUNG!!”

“They never talk to anyone! You have to spill!!”

“Not friends huh? Seems pretty close to me.”

“If Jessica finds out you’re dead.”

They all got a good word in and with all the commotion, other students started talking. Gasping at the fact that a Kim actually spoke to someone outside of their circle, let alone the new girl.

Suddenly I felt a blast surge through me and I felt oddly calm. I noticed that the rest of the cafeteria also simmered down and the Kim table was quiet, each of the sisters looking at their empath. I too looked at Seohyun and if she could still blush she definitely would be.

“Seo? Oh my god what did you do.” Tiffany and Jessica gasped. Luckily, the bell signaling the end of lunch was over and the sisters left quickly. I stood and started walking to my next class. Biology…ugh.

I entered the room taking note of the teacher at her desk. I went up to her, told her that I was a new student and she pointed me out to a seat.

“Your partner is Alicia Kim.” That name sounds famili—oh…  The eldest Kim sister walked into the room and took her seat beside me, as straight faced as I saw her when she walked in to the cafeteria.

“Hi, I’m—”

“Summer Choi Sooyoung. I’ve heard. Kim Taeyeon. Please…refrain from calling me Alicia outside of class.” Her voice was light but strong and confident at the same time.

“Ah…gotcha…if you would also do the same about ‘Summer’ I really don’t prefer that name.” She nodded and took the goggles from the center of the table.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“Just trust me.” She handed me my goggles and just as I put them on, the table in front of us had an explosion of goo.

“Woah…what the hell?” I looked over to Taeyeon who looked back at me with a smirk.

“Those two are G-Dragon and TOP. Don’t ask about their names, just go with it. They like to cause trouble and luckily, as you know from my stupid sister, I can read their minds.” I looked at her in awe.

“Wow your power is really helpful.” She nodded again.

“Especially when people cause my family trouble. Speaking of which, why did you blow up on my sister.” She removed her goggles, blowing her fringe out of her face before setting her eyes on me. Oh great, another intimidating vamp. Hearing my thoughts, she smirked.

“Not intimidating. I just want to know what my little baby sis did for her to deserve getting yelled at.” I placed my head in my palm and sighed.

“She didn’t do anything and she definitely never deserved it….It was a reflex….and a realization…and a panic attack…all at once.” She looked at me oddly then seemed to concentrate.

Feeling the guilt at yelling at her sister, I replayed earlier’s events in my head, accidentally forgetting to block out the part about the imprint. I was brought out of my trance by Taeyeon’s gasp. I looked at her and she stared at me, shocked.

“You….you can imprint?” Taeyeon asked. I nodded slowly before the realization of what just happened hit me.

“OH MY GOD TAEYEON! YOU CAN’T TELL HER” I begged. Yes. I begged.

“You….you imprinted on my sister….” Taeyeon stared at me, the same shocked expression on her face.

“Yes….please don’t be mad! I didn’t mean to.” I tried to reason but suddenly Taeyeon just laughed.

“I’m not mad…just….surprised…You’ve imprinted on a vampire…though not impossible, I’ve never heard of it happening before.”

“Me either” I muttered.

“Wow…this is…news. I may have to talk to my mom about this.” Taeyeon pondered.

“Wait…you cannot tell anybody about this. It’s embarrassing.” I begged again.

“Sooyoung, I have to tell my mom. We need to know what you are…I’m sorry.”

“Ugh! You can tell Dr. Kim and that’s it! Please don’t tell Tiffany or any of your sisters! Especially Yuri! She’ll tease me til the end of time. And trust me…we’ve all got time.” Taeyeon just giggled.

“Aw look at you acting like a normal human teenager. Don’t worry. I won’t tell Yul or Tiff. Or any of the others. But considering it’s an imprint….I don’t know how long you can hold back for.” Taeyeon stared at me and noticed my abnormal features.

“And whatever you are…your eyes are turning gold…I should mention that to my mom, right?” I nodded slowly. Then I remembered what had happened with Seohyun.

“Hey…what happened in the cafeteria? I know Seohyun’s an empath, so I know it was her.” Taeyeon nodded as if she anticipated this question.

“She’s a relatively new vampire when it comes to vampire years. Even her bloodlust for humans is still a bit troubling for her. Along with that, she has some trouble controlling that power of hers. She’s working on taking in emotions and handling them. She only meant to brush calm through our table, but she got overwhelmed and hit the entire lunchroom with it. Her control is getting better though.” I listened to her explanation and chuckled at the end.

“Her bloodlust?” Then I realized that her eyes were golden.

“Oh hey…what the hell? Do all of your family have golden eyes?” Taeyeon smiled softly

“Yes. We feed off of animals. Not as good as human blood, but enough for us to feel like we keep our humanity.”

“Wow…that’s amazing…”

“Thanks…for some reason, your blood doesn’t affect us as much as the humans…It’s something in your blood that doesn’t make us want to bite you.” I softly chuckled.

“Well it’s just my nature. And please, don’t bite me. Ever.”

“I wouldn’t dream of it. My family wouldn’t either. It would be frowned upon.  Especially by Tiffany.” She suddenly slapped a hand on and looked at me with her wide eyes.

“Tiffany? Why would she—” The bell rang and out ran Taeyeon. As fast as her human speed would allow her.

“Next is gym. Well hopefully it isn’t boring.” I stood and walked down to the locker rooms. I got my locker assignment from the office in the locker room and went to my section. I froze as I entered though. In my line of vision, literally surrounding my locker, were 5 vampires. Count em. 5. Vampires.

They all turned and looked at me, shocked. I noticed my locker was in the middle of all of theirs, and only us 6 were in PE in this section at this hour. Of course. I walked up to my locker and got changed, throwing my bag and clothes into the locker before slamming it, only to be side tackled by Yuri.

“Soo!! Oh my gosh we have PE together!” I pushed her off of me playfully, making sure to add a smile. I turned to her family and politely said hi. Just because I’m Yuri’s friend doesn’t mean I’m okay to the rest of them.

“Hey Sooyoung.” Taeyeon smiled at me. Okay maybe Taeyeon too.

“Hi Sooyoung” Seohyun said. We could get there.

“Hi.” Jessica flatly said. Yea….no. She’s a tough one.

“H-hi” Was Tiffany’s nervous reply. I turned to Yuri.

“I thought I told you to apologize to her for me.” I muttered to her, though I’m sure Tiffany heard me. So I turned and walked to the gym.

“Wait, Soo! I forgot.” Yuri chased after me, dodging attacks from Tiffany who was complaining that she hadn’t said anything. We reached the gym and for some reason, they situated themselves around me. Of course, that caught the attention of every person in the freakin gym. It also started a lot of talk and not so silent whispers.

Seohyun slowly waved her wrist, almost unsurely, and the gym quieted down. Seohyun smiled slowly while her family smiled in her direction proudly. I made the mistake of looking at Tiffany in all of this and noticed her eyesmile. Oh . I couldn’t help but smile as I saw the pure joy coming from her. I looked over at Taeyeon and she was smirking at me. Oh god no. I slowly raised my finger to my lips Keep quiet! I thought and she winked in response.

“That’s great Seo! Soon, you’ll be able to control it without moving your hands.” Tiffany oozed with excitement and I couldn’t help but smile again. I don’t know how long I was in a trance but a light voice broke me from it.

“Wow.” I heard and I finally realized that Tiffany was looking at me.

“Sorry?” I responded.

“I just…I’ve never seen you fully smile. It’s…wow.” I blushed and looked away from her. Another big mistake. I looked right into the eyes of Jessica. She didn’t look like she hated me, but at the same time she looked like she didn’t trust me. I mean…not that I care. Well...maybe I kind of care. But you can’t blame me. She’s my imprint’s sister. It’s natural to want approval. Wait…Am I actually accepting this imprint? Well . Taeyeon laughed and stood along with her sisters.

“Where are you guys going?” I stood with them. The girls walked on, but Taeyeon and Yuri stayed behind.

“The gym teacher called free play. We’re gonna play volleyball lover girl. Are you in or not?” Taeyeon asked as Yuri laughed, patting my shoulders.

“I’m in, and you’re dead meat Kim.” I heard her laugh echo as she and Yuri ran to the court.

“She’s playing?” Jessica arched an eyebrow, earning an elbow jab from her younger sister.

“Be nice Jessi. Sooyoung can play with us, right Yul?” Tiffany’s eyes shined.

“Of course Tiff. That’s why the tall goof is here.” I smacked her arm.

“Gee thanks. Hi Tiffany, Jessica, Seohyun, thanks for having me.” Seohyun gave a polite wave while Jessica just nodded in response.

“Don’t worry Soo. She’s a tough one.” Taeyeon punched my arm.

“But you gotta love her!” Yuri screamed as she gripped her girlfriend by the waist, making the blond smile. Actually smile. In my presence.

“Yea well…we live in the same house so I guess.” Taeyeon joked until she felt a chill run through her body.

“Jess! What the hell?!” Taeyeon shivered while the blond just giggled.

“Whoops?” She innocently said.

“What did she do?” I asked in a lost expression. Suddenly I felt Tiffany beside me.

“She pretty much froze Taeyeon’s insides. Not completely, but enough to teach Taeyeon a lesson.” Tiffany giggled.

“Oh…does it hurt?” Tiffany shrugged.

“She’s never done it to me. Everyone else, yes. It hurts to them. So I suppose?”

“Hell yes it hurts!” Taeyeon still shook slightly.

“But aren’t you guys already cold as is?”

“Yes, but her ice brings pain with it. And freezing from the inside out is the worst.”

“Just…don’t piss my sister off. That isn’t the only element she can control.” Tiffany warned.

“I wouldn’t dare to.” I told her I replied with a smile. She smiled back.

"Let's play?" I asked with a smile turning to the rest and we finally got to playing volleyball.

The end of the day came around and the 6 of us walked out to our cars.

“Daaaang girl nice ride.” Yuri lightly trailed her fingers on the back of my Spark.

“Thanks. I’ll have to say the same about your Hummer and Camaro. Who’s are they?”

“My gorgeous hummer.” Yuri leaned on her car.

“And my precious Camaro” Taeyeon sat on the hood of her car. I nodded in appreciation before checking the time.

“Well I better get going. David can’t cook for crap so I should be getting home.” I told them. I noticed Tiffany’s happy expression fall and Jessica glared at me.

“Is that your boyfriend?” She growled. I widened my eyes in partial fear and shock and nausea.

“Ew gross. Hell no. David is my dad…Well sort of. He doesn’t feel like a dad.” Jessica slowly dropped her anger.

“What do you mean sort of?” Yuri asked as she took a step toward me. I looked down to the ground and bit my lip.

“It’s not important. I’ve got to go. See you guys tomorrow.” I hopped in my car.

“I’ll text you later?” Yuri said. I looked over to her.

“Uh…yea…here let me—”

“No need. Taeyeon and I have it already.” I rolled my eyes and smiled weakly.

“Aright. Text you later then….” I drove home and crashed on my bed. Groaning in frustration.

Hey Buddy. Just making sure you got home safe. Sorry about my question earlier. It’s none of my business. I’ll see you tomorrow.

Soo! You alright? Don’t worry I didn’t look in your thoughts earlier. Luckily, I can control that kind of stuff now. I just wanted to tell you that Hyoyeon will be home soon and we’ll discuss your nature then. Whatever we find out, it won’t change our friendship. You’ll only have to deal with Jessica if anything. She’s the scary one.

I groan again. My first day here and already I’ve messed with all of my beliefs. I made friends with nearly an entire coven and I imprinted on a vampire. What has the world come to.

What’s Up

I wasn’t even going to post today. It’s the birthday of someone close to me and I didn’t want to take time away from them to finish writing. Gah I miss her a lot….

BUT on a happier note

Tomorrow is July 4^th which, if you live in the USA, is a big day! Yes fireworks and beach days and bonfires and barbecues. Or at least that’s usually how it goes down for me. So to everyone in America, Happy 4^th of July! (Set it off with a bang!)

Volleyball started so I’m gonna get way busier than I already was and it cuz I can’t update as much as I want to. But Ideas still flow and I keep them in memos on my phone so I can go back to them later on.
