The Processional
A Shuffled Wedding MixShe breathes out rather unsteadily.
Nervous. She is nervous.
It is, after all, her biggest day.
She takes one last look of the lady in the mirror. A lady, she muses. She would no longer be that once these are all over.
The organizer urges her out. It’s time.
She stands behind wooden doors. Doors that in any moment will open up for her. The doors to the start of her forever. With him. Forever with him.
With that all the nervousness she felt went away with the wind. All she feels now is excitement. Of life with him, of growing old with him, of forever with him.
This is it.
The doors burst open, the music starts and she starts to sing. ( listen to this please! :) )
Let the bough break, let it come down crashing
Let the sun fade out to a dark sky
I can't say I'd even notice it was absent
Cause I could live by the light in your eyes
I'll unfold before you
What I've strung together
The very first words
Of a lifelong love letter
She sees him gaping. He didn’t know about the song. It’s her surprise for him. Her response to that sweet, sweet proposal event he held for her.
Tell the world that we finally got it all right
I choose you
I will become yours and you will become mine
I choose you
I choose you
(Yeah)
Several moments later, she sees that he finally stopped gaping. The gape, however, has been replaced by a grin. A toothy, cheek-bursting grin. Misplaced incisor and all.
There was a time when I would have believed them
If they told me you could not come true
Just love's illusion
But then you found me and everything changed
And I believe in something again
My whole heart
Will be yours forever
This is a beautiful start
To a lifelong love letter
This time, she sees him smiling. With all the tenderness and love and care she knew he harboured for her. Only for her. God, she love this man. She vehemently wills her voice to not crack.
Tell the world that we finally got it all right
I choose you
I will become yours and you will become mine
I choose you
I choose you
We are not perfect
We'll learn from our mistakes
And as long as it takes
I will prove my love to you
I am not scared of the elements
I am under-prepared, but I am willing
And even better
I get to be the other half of you
She finally, finally comes up to him. He reaches out for her hand the same time she does. They grasps tightly and and she sings as she faces him and she sees tears forming in the corners of his eyes.
Tell the world that we finally got it all right
I choose you
Yeah
I will become yours and you will become mine
I choose you
I choose you
I choose you.
He mouths her a "thank you, I love you" complete with that loving smile when the song ended. She squeezes his hand hard and smiles a smile as equally loving as his. Yes. She loves him too.
