The Heart Wants What It Wants

Description

Park Jinae is the head tutor for her university’s Learning Center, a popular place for students to hang out and study. Yoon Doojoon is the popular captain of the university’s soccer team.

Though caring and beautiful, she is known for being quick-tempered and (extremely) stubborn, fearless and independent. Though good looking and atheletic, he exudes (too much) confidence and stubbornness.

Jinae has no time to waste, and puts effort into everything she does. Popularity and soccer has gotten to Doojoon's head, making him fall behind in school and forget how important education is.

What happens when Jinae is forced to be Doojoon’s personal tutor in order to keep her beloved job?

Foreword

Hi guys. I'm so sorry for being MIA. I'm rewriting my story and this is the idea I have. Please tell me if it sounds good? I might not update for long periods of time, so please don't expect regular updates. I do want to finish this before my summer break ends right now though. (I'm doing summer school right now, boo!)

"Yoon Doojoon-ssi, let's make this clear. I don't like you."

"Park Jinae-ssi, the feeling is mutual."

I take my eyes off the chalk board for a split second to glance at the tall male standing beside me.

He does not look happy. That makes the two of us. My boss's threat rang in my head.

"You must do everything in your power to help Yoon Doojoon raise his grades so he can stay on the soccer team. Without him, our soccer team will not do well, and our university's reputation will be hurt. Do you know how important this sport is to our school? It is our pride. If he gets suspended from the team because of poor grades, you will be the first person I look for!"

I grit my teeth and go back to writing on the chalkboard. If there's something that I hate even more than being forced to do something I don't want, it's being forced to help a pompous jerk who's insincere about his improving his grades. Yoon Doojoon expects me to do his work for him, because the entire university puts him on a pedastal for being the captain of the soccer team. Since when did atheletes gets special treatment? Aish. I don't have time or patience for this. I can't believe my neck is on the line because of this guy.

"This Learning Center was established for students who truly care about learning and studying. As head tutor, it is my job to encourage them in their hard work and help them acheive their goals. I love my job and I would like to keep it, so I have no choice but to help you raise your grades." Good. That sounds professional enough, Jinae. I praise myself.

A smirk forms on his lips as he realized I was being forced to tutor him. He knew the university was on his side. That arrogant bastard.

"But unlike everyone in this school, I do not think highly of you. To me, you are not Yoon Doojoon, the irreplacable captain of the soccer team. You are Yoon Doojoon, a babo who's not taking responsibilty for his own grades." I say evenly, giving him a stern look. He hides it well, but I can tell he is surprised. No girl has probably ever said that to him before. Hah. Take that, you jerk!

"But basically, you ARE responsible for my grades."

I narrow my eyes. Has he not been listening to what I've been saying? "They are YOUR grades, not mine. If you think I'm doing your work for you, you're sadly mistaken!"

The smirk on his face widens. "Yeah, we'll see about that."

Aish. Can I wipe the smirk off his face with my fist?
