After the overwhelming success of SM's new boy group, EXO's debut and following comebacks, SM Entertainment is intending to come up with yet another new group; only this time, a girl group. However, to be in this group, you must prove yourself to be nothing but the best. To prove yourself, all female trainees of SM Entertainment would have to go through an audition that will then boil down to those who prove themselves. However, even after the audition, they still would not be guaranteed a spot in the new group. To gain a spot in the group, the girls would be put into a new reality-survivor program named 'Project: SIDEREAL'.
'Project: SIDEREAL', SM Entertainment's new reality program was based lightly off YG's 'WIN: Who is next' and Vixx's MyDol. This reality program will not only showcase their talent, but also their personality and how much they want to be in this group. 'Project: SIDEREAL' would be aired every Friday, 8pm UTC +09:00. The amount of episodes is still undecided, however, the amount of girls who will debut is 9; the 9 girls will debut right after the end of show.
