Foreword

Dark clouds with the shining light moon hung above an energized white house of an average boy that loves to play games, specifically named, Luhan. It was already half past twelve, but the boy chose to play until 3 in the morning, not minding about the loads of schoolwork that he needs to turn in for the next day, well, nobody really does their schoolwork. He lounged into his brand new gaming chair brought by his parents and his Xbox as he continued on his daily routine. Play, eat, and sleep. In Luhan’s point of view, the first two were a priority while sleep was only an option.

His mother doesn’t know about his doings since she was in abroad along with her husband. And him being the only son of the married couple, he had no one to accompany and guide him. He was always alone and depressed, he never felt warmth and love from his parents, when he discovered games, those feelings of loneliness disappeared. From a dark room full of despair and sadness it turned into a flashing illuminated bright one filled with happiness.

“Go to the left and I’ll corner him here, Hurry!”

“Hey! He got away with the flag! I thought you were going to corner him? Oh shoot he made it to his base.”

“What the heck?! Since when did he have a Juggernaut?! Dude! Luhan! Do something!”

Luhan let out a disapproving sigh, and smirked afterwards knowing what the opponent was planning. Being a gamer for almost a year, he already mastered the tactics and techniques on how to play the game. “Just go freaking protect our flag and I’ll do the rest! GO!”  He commanded through his microphone while hardly and swiftly pressing onto his about to be broken controller.

He knitted his eyebrows, his eyes not prying away from the screen as he skillfully dominated the game. Luhan went with his plan, and not surprisingly he won with 10 seconds remaining on the clock. As always.

“Just as planned!”

‘enjoy your victory while you still have the chance, Luhan’

“Wooh! We won for the nth time already! As expected, we turned tables again, from losing to winning.” A voice said through the headset. Luhan was smiling and nibbled on his peanut butter sandwich. He’s a guy, he doesn’t know how to cook, he depended on his sister to bring him food but from time to time he just orders food from the local restaurant nearby.

“Well, losing isn’t in my dictionary Sehun-ah.” He confidently said and it wasn’t a joke though, he meant it.

“Conceited kid.”

They both laughed at their dorkiness. The two were best friend since they were 5 years old. Both of them would always be together, spending nights on playing video games, which wasn’t a problem because both of them were into this kind of stuff.

While they were on a short break they talked about their daily lives, considering that they weren’t going on the same school together, they’ve got numerous of topics to talk about. But a certain topic was something Luhan won’t forget.

“Luhan hyung, do you know this new game everyone’s been talking about?”

The latter was confused, he knows every game, but he doesn’t know which game Sehun was talking about. There are tons of new games that everyone’s been talking about since Game week came, so it’s kind of confusing to know which game he was talking about.

“Huh?”

The blonde on the other line let out an unbelievable scoff followed by a light chuckle which made Luhan curious, like everyone knew about this ‘famous game’ except him. Was it so famous that if you say ‘the new game everyone’s been talking about’ that game immediately comes to your head? Maybe.

“What game? There are a lot of games, be specific dude.”

“Let’s say it’s a game called…

Chariot Gems.”
