Pain
When Differences Collide (Editing)Myung-hee POV
It's happening again. Everything I wished this new life wouldn't be like is happening.
"Your majesty, is everything alright"
"Everythings fine" I sighed as I sat in front of the window and stared down at the garden.
"Pardon me for saying this your majesty but you don't look very well" my lady in waiting sighed as I stood up and began to pace around the room.
"I'm just frustrated that's all" I paced for a few more minutes before sitting back down in front of the window. "Ahh" I winced as I felt a sharp jabbing pain in my abdomen.
"Your majesty" The girl shrieked in panic and ran over to my side.
"I'm fine" I smiled a little as I stood up still feeling this unexplainable pain.
"Are you sure?" she sighed as she stood up as well.
"Don't tell anyone about this" I smiled meekly as she nodded her head and we walked down to the garden.
"Your majesty" Scholar Zhou smiled as we entered the garden.
"Scholar Zhou" I continued to fake a slight smile and keep my composure as the pain in my abdomen seemed to worsen.
"His majesty just left a meeting with the court" he smiled as he looked back at the throne room.
"I see"
"what are you doing out here though?" he continued to smiled.
"Just enjoying the fresh air" I sighed as the pain seemed to fade away slightly.
"That's good to hear well I have some matters to attend to so I will take my leave" he smirked before bowing and walking away.
"He's so shady" my assistant mumbled under her breath as he began to walk away.
"What?"
"Oh nothing you majesty do you want to go inside?" she sighed as I nodded and we began walking back toward my study where I was to meet up with the grand dowager empress (Luhan's grandmother) for the first time in a half an hour. She was't able to greet us our first day back due to her health issues but she was happy to accept my invitation of having tea in my study."You majesty your clothes are ready?" she smiled as she escorted me to change and then we reentered the study.
"The grand dowager empress now entering"
"Greeting to your majesty" I bowed as she appeared before me. Not to be judgemental or anything but just at first glance of this woman I wonder what's holding her together, she is probably the oldest human being I have ever laid eyes on.
"Ahhh my grandaughter in-law" she smiled as she asked me to sit. She seemed to be a very light
