-Are you going to stay there all night? – We have just seen a horror movie and truth is; that I didn’t want to move not even a finger from couch’s safety, with my knees captured against my chest. Kangin sighed loudly when he got no answer from me – Ok, then you will stay here.

-No! – I grabbed his wrist to avoid him from walking out – How can you think about leaving me alone?

-But you were the one who wanted to see a horror movie! You know you always end up like this.

-Well… I like them – I ducked my head down – I am a little masochist with that and you know it, you can’t just leave me here – He stared at me for a couple of minutes until he let out all the air from his lungs in a loud sigh.

-Let’s go – He took my hand and pushed me up. While we walked, he never let go of my hand; I was walking very close to him. I heard a noise and by instinct I squeezed his hand and instantly blushed. Yeah, since several months ago I was in love with Kangin, my best friend from long time ago, the one who was always with me, who took care of me, who could make me laugh when I was sad and who, obviously, didn’t feel anything for me – Sleep tight – He told me once we reached for my bedroom, he the light and gave me a kiss on the forehead before going to his bedroom. My parents were out of town, and like I didn’t want to stay alone I was staying at his place; we had bedrooms in each other’s houses, our parents were ok with that because they were also friends and knew how good our friendship was. -Good night – I said while I watched him go. I turned around and checked my room looking for ghosts or something, after that I put on my pajamas and went to bed, leaving on the lamp on my bedside table. I couldn’t sleep, I went from one side to the other on my bed but I got no sleep, I let out a frustrated sigh. Just when I thought I was about to fall asleep, I watched as the lamp turned off. You have to be ing kidding me… - Kangin-ah! – I screamed while I covered myself with the blanked – Kangin!

-Aigo – I heard his low and sleepy voice. God, if I wasn’t in panic I would faint – What’s wrong? – His face popped from behind the door.

-The power is off, are you that sleepy? – I lowered the blanket to let my eyes to sight.

-No, it is not. You know I sleep with one light on when I see horror movies – I lowered completely the blanket and pouted – I think somebody is watching me.

-Ash – He opened his eyes while he inhaled. He walked into the bedroom; he was just wearing a pair of big shorts and nothing covering his torso. The air choked in my throat, that happened every time I saw him wearing no shirt, he let almost no one to see him like that – We are not going to see any more horror movies – He took me by the hand and pushed me out of my bed – You are sleeping with me today – He dragged me to his bedroom. I didn’t even know if my heart was beating so fast because of the fear or because of the fact of sleeping in the same bed as him. We got into his room and he threw himself head down on his bed and I just stood there. Seconds later he turned his head to me – What? I have to get you into bed, too? – He laughed.

-N-No.

-Come on, after so many years of friendship you can’t be embarrassed by the fact of sleeping in the same bed as me – He smiled.

-Of course not – I inhaled and got into bed. He took his initial position to sleep and I just stared at the ceiling. I didn’t feel uncomfortable, no… Well, maybe a little. I turned to face the closet and closed my eyes trying to sleep. I thanked all these years of friendship and hidden love that made me had the power that I have now for not turning around and kiss him just like that.

-Boo – A low voice said into my hear, my whole body trembled and when I my hands went to my face to cover me, I punched something with my left hand – Ouch! Why did you hit me?!

-Kangin-ah! – I turned around quickly while he was laying his head on the pillow, covering the left side of his face. I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn’t feel the bed moving or something telling me that he was doing something – I’m sorry! You scared me! Let me see – I took off his hand from his face, I frowned – You have nothing, you are exaggerating.

-But it hurts! You hit me in the eye! – I went a little closer to see if I could see anything – See? – He said in a soft voice, with his eyes on my lips.

-N-no. You are ok, don’t exaggerate – He took me by my shoulders – What are you doing?

-Revenge! – He threw me on my back and sat on top of me just to start tickling me.

-Stop! – I hardly said because of my laugh – Ah! Stop!

-When my eye stops hurting, I will stop – His hands rushed up and down on the sides of my body including my arms. He stopped short and let himself fall over me, cradling his head between my shoulder and head – I will sleep, I’m sleepy.

-Hey! – I said laughing while I tried to move him, but I couldn’t. His breathing close to my ear sent chills through my whole body, I started to blush – Ok, you win – He still didn’t move, I blushed each time more, the man I’m in love with was on top of me half , I need help.

-I am comfortable – He whispered. I couldn’t help but laugh and tried to move him again, but something cut me off short. He pressed his warm lips against my neck, I breathed in and everything around me stopped; after a few seconds his lips were going up until my earlobe, at the exact same time the air abandoned my lungs.

-K-Kangin, what are you doing? – He straightened his head until his face was inches away from mine.

-Why? – He was serious; his eyes were on mine and it intimidated me, so I couldn’t help but turn my sight to the right, starting to feel how my face was painted in red. With his left hand he cupped my cheek and turned my face until I was seeing him again, his face was even closer to mine this time.

-Yah! What are you playing? – I said trying to escape from his grab but I couldn’t so I frowned.

-I’m not playing anything – Now he was frowning. When he realized that I wasn’t looking at him directly he snorted and cut the distance between us. His lips crashed into mine, staying still for a moment until they started to move slowly, mixing our breaths, just like everything inside me. The grab of his hand was becoming weaker and weaker until it became a caress on my cheek. My lips were moving with his, making me forget about who we were and where we were, losing myself on his taste. His right hand was on my hip, while my hands where behind his neck. He pressed his lips against mine a little more and a few seconds later he parted away from me, still with his eyes closed and my bottom lip trapped between his teeth. When he let it go, he opened his eyes and looked at me just like a moment ago.

-W-What was that? – My breathing was fast, my heart pounded on my throat and a heat wave rushed through my face. With his left hand he caressed my cheek again and warmly smiled at me. He took my hand and put in on the left side of his chest, I could feel his heart pounding just as fast as mine – Are you playing with me? – I said a little mad.

-No! Of course not! – He nervously said – I… I just… God, why do you have to make it so difficult?

-And what did I do?

-Nothing – I ducked my head down.

-This is wrong, we’re friends and we’re not supposed to…

-To what? – He quickly interrupted me – We don’t have to follow anything – With his finger he pushed my chin up so I looked at him – What if I tell you that I see you as more than just a friend? – What?!

-B-But… Since when do you feel like this? – Please, God, don’t let this be a joke.

-Months ago – He rubbed his neck with his hand – I don’t know exactly when it started, I just know that one day I wasn’t looking at you in the same way – He looked extremely adorable with that light blush on his cheeks, I couldn’t help but smile – That smile means that you feel the same for me? - I doubted for a minute, my heart pounding against my chest and his puppy face were melting me. After some seconds I bit my bottom lip and smiled, saying “yes” with my head – I knew it, that kiss told me everything – I slightly punched him on his arm making him laugh. I looked at him in a serious way – What?

-Are you serious? I mean… - I played nervously with my hands – What you just said to me, is it really true? It just sounds too good to be true – He gazed at me, took my hand and pulled me against his body, lying me on top of him. His lips tasted mine again, this time without hesitation and with a quicker rhythm.

-Is this enough answer for you? – He said after we broke the kiss, with a side smile looking like a kid. I smiled and nodded, feeling happiness in each part of my body.

-I think there’s no better answer – This time I kissed him, my tongue getting inside his mouth with caution, slowly learning his taste. After a moment, we parted and he smiled while he caressed my hair ending on my cheek. Suddenly his eyes closed and he yawned, I laughed a bit – Should we sleep?

-Yes, please – He straightened his body after I sat on a side; he laid with his face down on the pillow, ready to sleep. After everything, I couldn’t help to stay in shock for a moment and just stare at him and his big tattooed back, smiling, still feeling his lips on mine, his hands on my back, his caress on my cheek… I laid on top on his back and searched for his face, I gave him a peck close to the lips.

-Good night – I could see how a smile placed on his lips, he turned his face around searching for mine, giving me a quick kiss on the lips. When he felt that I was moving off from on top of him, he grabbed my right hand and pulled me forward, staying slightly on top of his back.

-Where do you think you are going? – He entwined our fingers together, without erasing his smile he closed his eyes again. I just smiled happily and closed my eyes, now with his body pressed against mine I felt all the peace I needed to sleep, and all the happiness I needed to live.
