Heather blinked a few times in disappointment as she stared at her phone screen. Tears threatened to fall down her cheeks, but she was quick to wipe them away and save her makeup. She had waited for this night to come, and even prepared by getting her hair dyed, a new outfit which included a new dress, shoes, and accessories, and took an hour to do her makeup in the way she knew her date liked it; not too much, but just a right amount to look pretty.

The text was only a few lines long, but it was enough to almost knock her to the floor in disbelief. She didn't expect this from him; the only guy she felt comfortable with, and trusted. Heather wasn't one to talk to new people, or even go out around the town with the few friends she had. She couldn't. Her social anxiety always stopped her from trying anything new. She took one more look at the message, praying that she was just imagining things.

"I know I'm supposed to go to the wedding party with you right now, but I can't come. Have fun without me, it's not like you need me there, right? ~Taemin"

Heather let the tears fall, she didn't care anymore' it wasn't like he was going to see her makeup now anyway. Although she wanted to rip off the dress and not bother going, she had already promised that she would go. Plus she wasn't planning on taking back the wedding gift that she had bought. After a few moments, Heather wiped her tears and fixed her makeup, knowing she had to go anyway. Taemin was greatly misunderstood, Heather did need him more than anything. If only he knew...
