Analysis on chapters 1-27
BlueBloodsSo the story wasn't really intended to turn out like this at first.
I had pictured a boy who wanted a girl who was icy and untouchable. And as you can see, the beginning was really dry and quite unsure. It was only later that I developed Kai into the character he is now. The unusual, good boy. So Kai basically fell in love with Kara when he met her as a kid. And then he'd fallen harder as they grew up. So yes, it had been puppy love. But then when her Aunt passes, and he realised he cared so much, it develops into a deeper love. And that's ultimately developed when he starts to grow desperate for her. But to get this straight, Kai isn't obsessive. As you can see, he wants to take care of her and wants to make her happy. He doesn't realise it himself till the chapter on "Cold Love", where he makes that heart-wrenching speech to her.
Speaking of chapters, let's take a look at the chapter development. As i mentioned earlier, I was unsure during the first few chapters and so they were very dull. I only began developing the characters in chapter 9, "Comtemplation." So basically, that's when their relationship becomes more serious and more deep. And then after that in "Cold Love", it's basically a reflection of the kinds of love they have experienced. And that Kara's love is causing Kai to "die" because it's so cold. However, once the emotions are out, by the chapter "Angel", they are in love and by the chapter "Again", they are deeply in love, and Kai begins to
