Casted Away

Ethereal Fantasy

Casted Away

Stranded in a galaxy,
Devoid of stars and meteors,
Drowned in a perpetual abyss,
Where eternal darkness, impenetrable silence - ades.

My hands search the galaxy for a path,
An arch that would take my weary soul somewhere, anywhere.
Allow my solitary footsteps to echo,
Shatter that stoic wall of silence;
But it grasps only nothingness,
Or maybe only more darkness.

Deep down I knew my heart is still burning, beating (even though my ears can't detect the slightest noise)
My ribcage burns,
It's a strange icy sensation,
And it hurts.
Warmth doesn't exist in space
Emptiness can't thaw the gnawing ice nestled
deep within the frozen recesses of my chest,
The numbing pain -
lies laden in my veins.
