Two
The Little PrinceLittle Prince Yesung’s first journey led him to a field of flowers
Some small as his hand, some tall as a mighty tower
But every single one of them were beautiful
So colorful, so bright, and so full.
But as he looked high and looked low
With his heavy and sad heart in tow
All he found amongst all the flowers were two lovers
And then he knew his search in the flowers was all over
For these two beings, one, the prettiest of roses, and the other its thorns
Were so inseparable that they didn’t even notice him, unknown and foreign
Because in their garden, it was only this rose and its stem
And nothing could tear the two apart, nothing could break them
Little Prince Yesung looked on in wonder at the two
Who had witnessed a greater love than this, who?
The rose, Heechul, was connected heart and soul,
To this stem of thorns, Hangeng, the one that made him whole
As the field turned into songs and melodies of the two lover’s tale
Little Prince Yesung could only sit in wonder and wail
The two, separated for a short time, in the past
Had been reborn and grown together in the garden so they’d last.
And so with a heart warmed by the lover’s story,
Little Prince Yesung carried on his journey
With a new hope in his heart
That maybe he’d find a rose that, from him, would never depart.
