Donghae was slighty dumbfounded by the guy’s nonsense request. Or more like…a command? The visible smirk and the sharp glare are surely not only for show. This guy is somehow…scary? And Donghae couldn’t even imagine what will happen next if he directly said that the guy is indeed insane.

“C-come again?”, that was the only ‘safe’ words he managed to say.

“Huh? I thought that you’re smart enough to understand my request? Turns out that you’re indeed just a mere fisherman …”, the guy said mockingly.

And Donghae swore, if murdering is not illegal, he would surely kill this guy right away.

“Yah, don’t try to test my patience, okay? I think enough for the humiliation. First, I’m NOT a fisherman, I’m just selling fresh fishes alright? Second, I was kind enough to actually consider your weird request, so you should at least show me some respect…”

There, he said it. And how he actually regrets his decision, because the guy in front of him is now sending a deathly glare to him, almost like he has some electricity coming from his eyes, and Donghae’s eyes will literally get burn if he keep staring at it.

“WHAT?? My request is nothing weird! What is wrong with you being my boyfriend? Do you think it’s disgusting because we’re both guys? Do you think that the same can’t actually fall in love? Aren’t you feeling any guilt because you just have ruined my very super rarely chance to get casted by those directors back there??”

The guy’s eyes are suddenly turning watery, and Donghae could hear faint sobs coming from the guy’s pouty lips. Fortunately, the villagers living in the small village aren’t that crowded, and the place they’re currently standing at is empty.

“W-wait a a minute….Why are y-you crying? I-I didn’t mean it that way…w-wait-“, Donghae is in panic, can’t actually find a way to make the guy stop his nonsense talk. In one side, he felt responsible because he probably had just ruined the guy’s future.

‘What should I do???!!!’, Donghae literally screamed in his mind.

“You rude fisherman!! I swear I will never forget your rudeness and I’ll hunt you down even in hell and make you pay!! UWAAAA you’ve ruined my carrier path!!!”

The guy is screaming uncontrollably, as if the next moment the world will actually doomed.

“Wh-what? A-ah, U-umm w-well….”, Donghae is lost of words, going insane but at the same time amused by the guy’s unpredicted behavior.

He’ve met many kind of people back then in Seoul, even many kind of women who tried to grabbed his attention that he actually memorized each steps as how to deal with it. But this guy…this guy is really something. How could someone being so bold but at the same time mysterious? He doesn’t know where this weird happenings will end up, but this is going to be interesting for sure.

“Alright alright I’ll be your boyfriend so stop crying okay?!”

Donghae finally dropped the bomb, or more likely, his own bomb. The silent wind suddenly fill up the atmosphere, as both of them are staring at each other, one with anticipation, and one with wet but glistening eyes.

“You serious about what you just said?”

“Yes I am.”, Donghae answered confidentally.

“Alright. Let’s go then.”, The guy suddenly shows a cold expression, which leave Donghae dumbfounded.

“Wait, don’t you supposed to at least feel happy or something? I have just agreed to be your boyfriend! What’s with that lazy expression??”

The guy just keeps on walking, totally ignoring Donghae.

“YAH!”

“Hah…you’re so noisy!”, the guy suddenly burst out again, turn around and face Donghae with that ‘insane’ expression.

‘Noisy? Says that to someone who had just cried at the top of his lungs!’, Donghae thought.

“Don’t force me to act again! Just be quiet and follow my orders okay?!”

For the umpteenth times, Donghae swore if murdering is not illegal he’ll surely strangled this guy’s neck to death and throw him into the deep of the sea. Just when he was about to feel symphaty for the guy, he just had to flip the situation. If he heard it right, did the guy just say act??

“ACT?”, Donghae asked, or more like trying to get a confirmation.

“Yeah, to be honest with you, that was just an act. You know, for your punishment. I’m 28, why would I cried for things like that?”, the guy casually explained as he starts to drag Donghae to walk beside him. “You’ve just agreed with my request, and you can’t backout now. But don’t you think my acting was so real and good? If not because of you I would surely passed the audition! Aish, what a pity…”

“WHAT? WAIT! I-“

“Ssshh, you don’t have to say anything, okay? I know how you feel, but I need to do that to ease my madness. Oh, and I forgot to tell you one more thing.”

“YAH STOP DRAGGING ME!”, Donghae is currently struggling to free his wrist, but somehow the guy is surprisingly gripping his hand tightly.

“Don’t bother, I got black belt in taekwondo, so your effort will be useless.”

“YAH! You was so weak just now!”, Donghae is keep on struggling, totally ignoring what the guy just said to him.

“Listen, maybe you’ll get shock again or even happy with what I’m going to say so be quiet okay?”

They both suddenly stop walking, and Donghae doesn’t even realize that his wrist is free now. Maybe because he’s busy staring at the guy’s eyes? He didn’t realize it just now, but the latter is surely has a pretty single lidded eyes. But for sure, the guy’s gummy smile is prettier than his smirk. If only he is not a bipolar, maybe Donghae would consider to befriend him.

Wait, what? Of course not friend, because he is Donghae’s boyfriend now. what a pity. All he wanted to do in the small village was to search for his true love, but all he could found were the same money chaser girls and of course, this bipolar guy.

“Hey hey, what’s with the stare? Are you starting to fall in love with me now?”

Donghae’s eyes feel like it would fall from its socket. “What? In love? like hell I will fall in love with you!”, he replied rejectedly.

“Aigoo, you shouldn’t said that. Don’t you ever heard of karma?”, the guy tsk-ing while shaking his head lightly and chuckled afterwards. “But that will be good for both of us anyway, because you’ll only be my fake boyfriend. That was what I forgot to tell.”

Donghae could feel weird sensation coming from his stomach. Is this how a crazy feeling supposed to be? Because Donghae sure enough, the guy beside him just driving him crazy, in a bad way.

“C-Come again?!”

“Hey, you don’t have to yell like that. Don’t you supposed to feel happy?”

“Just be quiet okay? I’ll explain to you later. And besides, why would I want to be a fisherman’s boyfriend? I have a high standart you know.”

“Oh and by the way, my name is Hyukjae.”

And just like that, the conversation just keep on going, with the guy named Hyukjae who keeps making fun of Donghae, and Donghae, who is as frustrated as hell. Never did in his life, he is being ‘bullied’ like that. And most of all, by a bipolar guy, whose name is somewhat sounding like a comedian’s name.

Seems like his journey to find the only one soulmate for him, has to be delayed for the mean time.
