Night Rider

Description

Kai reigns the streets of Seoul, rips it apart with metal and rubber and chrome, drives his point, his purpose, home with loud screeches of protesting tires and roaring engines pushed too close to their limits. 

But no matter how far he goes and how fast, he still couldn't get to what he wanted most. 

Foreword

This is purely experimental. I apologise for the atrocity to come. 

I wrote this on whim, purely to sate my desire to try something new. It's darker than the fics I've written before and I warn you to expect no fluff. I consider this as a project of sorts, to better my writing. I aim to focus it on the characters rather than the actual plot, so forgive me if you find it lacking on that aspect. I suppose that makes this a character study fic... I guess? I'm not intimately familiar with the varying genres of fanfiction.

This is mainly a Kai-centric fic, though there are mentions of a Kai/OC pairing, and Kai/Sehun friendship.

Chapter 8: I've never read a fic like this and I loved it!!! All the gangs au fics are usually depicted so wrongly as if it's so rewarding and fun to be in them when in reality it really is not. I like how you use their characters in real life but still manage to twist them to fit into this piece of fiction so beautifully! Your descriptions are top notch and I could read this over and over again and I'll still love it, honestly.

Chapter 8: It was actually very unnverving to read the boys like this. It was much easier to imagine them as other people. It was very good though despite not having a concrete plot

Chapter 8: OK. *taking deep breaths* omg!! You did it again. I don't even know to describe how wonderfully written this story is, I know many might be saddened by the ending. I thought it was clever of you to do this, you know.... It's like an open ended story. You don't really say that he gets arrested, even if he did, probably my delu~ mind says that his father would come and bail him. Or even the 'girl'. Hahaha
Anyway, I enjoyed the RIDE. Haha

Beautifully written!! I love how raw the characters are made and it's nice to see a different concept of exo. When I got to the end, I was like what no more chapters!?!???? Well done :)
