Chapter Four
The Cutie And The BrainCould the universe make up it’s mind already? My day just went from bad to awesome to extremely horrible! Of all the people we could’ve bumped into in a crowded University, it just had to be Raina Ramirez. Oh yes, Raina. The girl who was practically born into popularity and carried an atmosphere that screamed, “I’m better than you! Therefor, your opinion is irrelevant.” She has really pretty hair that falls in small springy curls all the way to her waist, and the figure of a professional ballerina. Sounds gorgeous, doesn’t she? Well, I’m sure if you saw her chihuahua-like face and non-existent heart, you’d change your mind in a heartbeat. Raina isn’t smart or anything and yet she still gets to attend one of the country’s top Universities. Why? Because:
A) She’s rich
&
B)Her dad is childhood friends with the headmaster.
Ask anyone who’s known her for as long as I have and they’ll tell you that she doesn’t deserve to be in such an elite school. If anything, she should be studying in a school of Sorcery and Witchcraft where her professors could do the world a favour and turn her into a toad!
“Bethany with a boy> How on Earth did that happen?” snorted her minion, Amanda. This made their little clique burst out laughing.
“Is he blind? Mentally ill? No, I’ve got it! He’s brain dead, am I right?” asked Maria, Raina’s other minion. I rolled my eyes and let out an annoyed sigh. If anything, they were the brain dead ones for finding those “jokes” funny.
“Wow, you’re really funny,” Chanyeol replied sarcastically, with a bored expression on his face as he grabbed my hand and pushed past them. I was blinking back tears of humiliation. It’s enough that those three had spent all of highschool making my life miserable and humiliating me, but now that I’d finally met my bias, did they have to ruin that by humiliating me in front of him too? I broke free from his loose grip and started running away. I could hear him as he ran behind me, calling my name, but I refused to look back. I ran until I’d reached the safety of the girls’ bathroom. I slammed the bathroom door behind me and didn’t bother going into a stall. I just sat and cried behind the door, not caring if anyone saw me.
