Post-Its
Description
Yoo Youngjae had always had a liking towards the vice-president of his school, happy that the easy going and quiet boy was giving him some post-its from time to time on his table. The clumsy, careless and shy head librarian kept to himself about his feelings, knowing there would be a time he had to tell him what he feels. He made a promise to himself to tell Jung Daehyun what he had been feeling for him yet if he fails to do so, he would make it a point to just forget about him for the latter would get a better person to love him, even better than Youngjae. He doesn’t have much time left.
Yet he doesn’t know what the vice-president feels about him at all.
Foreword
He halted by the lamppost, his hands gripping tightly onto the small post-it-his thumb gently brushing the now crumpled pointed sides of the blue paper. He let a small smile creep on his face as he looked down at the note he held in his hand.
The handwriting wasn’t the vice-president’s handwriting any more, but a mess scribble of his own writing. It was his own reminder for himself, his heart aching as he clenched the post-it in his hand.
“It’s over after today, Youngjae-ah. It’s over. Time’s up”
He nodded to himself. He knew it was too late- he had made a promise to himself remember.
He would never get to see the soft benign smile of his ever again, he would never get to hear his cute child-like laughter anymore. The image of that handsome, suave and grinning student that always appeared in his thought no matter what would be considered just a distraction, illusion and not real. It was just a mere figure that would just plagued Youngjae’s mind- the one who Youngjae wanted to see the most yet avoid.
Youngjae shook his head as he continued to walk back home slowly, with the melancholy of the quiet afternoon accompanying him.
Tomorrow would be a new day, Youngjae thought to himself bitterly.
Because Daehyun would happier without him.
