Epilogue

Forever With Love

Chaerin opened her eyes surrounded by bright white lights. It wasn't like artificial lights from lightbulbs, it was more like she walked into the sun, feeling surrounded by fluffy white clouds she couldn't touch it. Almost like walking into a batch of fog, you can feel the dampness it left on your skin although there was nothing to grasp and hold. Wherever she was she no longer felt pain coursing through her body. Her body felt light enough to the point she could move mountains.

Where exactly was she by the way?

"It's about time you showed up." A man snickered.

"Seungri. Stupid rat!"

She couldn't help but smile wide as she ran up hugging him. He was no longer the old man he had grown to be. Seungri looked like he did in his youth. His silver hair replaced with it's natural glossy black color, his wrinkles faded. She wondered if she looked like he did young and youthful? Or was she still 96?

"Nope! Your still pretty old." he laughed.

Even in death was he still able to read her mind?

"Hey! I was just kidding. No reason to shoot me dirty looks. Besides that even if you still looked 96 you would still be beautiful in my eyes." he winked.

Even dead the man was still a flirt turning serious a moment later. "Chae walk with me."

Chaerin nodded walking quietly behind Seungri in awe as the mist faded away leading her into bar. It wasn't just any bar, it was Seunghyun's bar. The one place other than her home that offered her so many memories in life. Absolutely everything looked just like she remembered, from the floor to the ceiling. To the bar, to the chrome stools, to the the stage. Soft music played quietly for the two of them

Seungri left her taking a seat at the bar waiting for her as she took the scenery in.

"Whenever your ready."

Feelng silly she snapped out of her trance taking the stool next to him, swinging it like a child as if it was her first time seating on them.

"I'll glad you find that amusing."

Chaerin ignorned him giggling away. It really had been a long time she had felt this good, felt this right.

"Why am I here? Out of all the places in the world why here?" she wondered.

"Easy, because this is the one place you cherish the most."

She wanted to smack the smug isn't obvious look right off his face as he stated his answer. With one last snicker his face turned serious as the air around them suddenly became heavy and quiet

"You know I never meant to hurt you." Seungri finally stated.

She watched his eyes grow dark reflecting the sadness laced in his voice.

"And you must of known how much I hated you for it at first."

Seungri remained quiet just shaking his head in shame. With a small sigh Chaerin reached out and held his hand, giving him her best happy smile trying to comfort him.

"And you must of also known that I had also forgiven you."

Chaerin couldn't help smile right along with him as his smile reappeared.

"I know in your own twisted mind you were trying to protect me. Thank-You!"

Chaerin planted a small peck on his cheek giggling as he bashfully blushed acting like this was his first kiss.

"I never opened the letters. At first I thought he was writing to tell you he had no intentions on coming back so I his it. Then more and more started arriving and I began to panic. I was afraid that if he came back he would hurt you all over again and I couldn't stand to sit back and watch you go through life in tears."

Chaerin wrapped her arms around him comforting him.

"Seungri do you want to know something?"

His sorrowful eyes looked directly into her as she held him tight.

"I'm a very lucky person."

"Why is it now Miss Lee?"

"Because most people go through life not knowing what love is. I got to experience it twice. I was lucky that I got to be in love with someone as warm and caring as you were. I was lucky because you were my best friend and I got to experience it with you. Thank-You for taking care of me when I needed you near me."

"Thank-You for letting me but Chaerin but I think it's finally time for me to say my last good-bye. Considering someone has been waiting patiently here for decades to reunit with you. As much as I want to stay here with you, I know deep down your heart has always belonged to him."

Chaerin looked down at her knees feeling shameful. Biting her lip, she felt like a horrible person as Seungri cupped her chin making her look up at him. His smile didn't so anything to make her feel at ease.

"Don't worry I was just happy you made room for me that was always more than enough for me. So please don't feel bad for me. My job in life was to protect you until it was time."

With a final wink Chaerin kept her eyes on him as he stood up for his leave.

"Where are you going?"

"Don't worry about me. Do you know how many hot ladies there are inside heaven?"

Personally she wasn't sure if she wanted to smack him or laugh. His eyes darted to where the bright misty light was smiling at the unknown person whom awaited for her. She tried following his eyes but couldn't see anything in her vision.

"I think we made him wait long enough. Don't you agree?"

"Who?"

Seungri pulled her up off the bench and pulled her up giving her one last hug.

"Good-bye Chaerin you won't have to worry next time. I'll just come back as your brother so I don't have an excuse to get in the way.

"What in the heck are you talking about?"

"Your true love dummy." he finally answered.

Seungri looking again at the bright mist that loomed over the area still smiling at nothing. Giving a nod like a silent signal Chaerin glanced back and forth in confusion, Who was he giving silent head nods to? Who was this he, he kept referring to?

Just as quickly as he appeared, Seungri dissapeared vanishing into the air like he was never there to begin with.

Dazed and feeling lost she starred into the mist now hearing the sound of footsteps coming closer. Her heart beating fast in anticipation. To be honest with herself, she should of smacked herself asking such a lame question to Seungri. She thought of one person, one man she wanted to see. Did he still want to see her after all of these years? Did he wait just like he promised he would?

Tears began gushing as she wiped them away with her unsteady hand as every memory came flooding back. Her heart beated like a hammer inside of her as the penny loafers came into view. Wiping the tears that fell she couldn't help but smile as Jiyong came into view. Oh how she missed those deep brown eyes gazing back at her. Or how those lips felt against her. Seeing him in person again left her with butterflies. To say she missed him was an understatement. All these years without him she thought she okay, but now that he stood directly in front of her again, she realized just how much in denial she was with herself. Just how cloudy her judgement had been. Standing in front of seeing him smile at her once again she never felt more complete. His smile was for her and her alone. She admitted to herself there was something so comforting knowing that. Not waiting a second more she ran straight into his arms letting his presense consume her. His scent lingered invading her senses. She held him tight afraid he would dissapear if she let him go.

"I'm not going anywhere." he whispered in her ear.

"I'm sorry I gave up on you. If only I waited a little longer. If only I didn't think the worst of you and had faith in you" she sobbed.

She dug her nails into him drinking in everything that was him as his fingers laced through her hair soothing her.

"And then what? Live a life alone without anybody? I'm the one who left Chaerin. I'm the one who was stupid and made the bad decisions not you."

But,"

Jiyong released his stance just enough to be able to look her in the eyes. His tender eyes and weary smile showed remorse though he tried to hid it from her. Lightly he pressed a finger up to her lips silencing her.

"I wasn't meant to be by yourside this lifetime. I was never meant to meet you. I was never meant to fall in love with you even though that's exactly what I did. I chose to stay that night the moment I saw you. I chose to fall in love with you and not once do I regret it. My presence was meant to be short lived because as you know by know I had a different calling but I'm happy that my time spent on earth was with you. Please don't cry anymore Chaerin. From this moment on you and I will always be together."

Chaerin wiped away the last few tears that formed trying her hardest not to fall apart as she trembled as his lips met hers. She could feel her body shudder from the warmth of his, all her fears vanishing as she melted into his sweet kisses. If this was her afterlife then she ready to take it on. An eternity of sizzling pleaserable sensous kisses had her thinking she was on cloud nine.

"Even when your crying you're beautiful."

What was it about this man that made her go gaga? Music that quietly played seemed to get louder. Another oldie but goodie she thought hearing Judy Garland's voice. Like a gentleman Jiyong stepped back bowing slightly extending his hand out for her to grab.

"May I have this dance?"

She jumped at the chance to be held by Jiyong once again resting her head on him as his arms cascaded around her once again.

You made me love you
I didn't wanna do it
You made me love you

You made me happy sometimes
You made me glad
But there were times sir
You made me feel so sad

"Chaerin,"

"Hmm?"

I promise I will never let you down again."

You made me sigh cause
I didn't wanna tell you
I think your grand

I must tell you what I'm feeling
The very mention of your name
Sends my heart reeling
You know you made me Love you

That was the first time I ever saw you
you looked at me, and you smiled.
Yeah, you smiled right at me as if you meant it
And I cried all the way home just cause you smiled at me

I don't care what happens
Let the whole world starve
As far as I'm concerned you'll always be the top
'Cause you know you made me Love you

"Chaerin in our next life I promise to give you my all. I promise never to walk away, I promise to never make you cry."

"Promise?"

"Forever!" he answered back.

Chaerin's ears perked hearing voices calling her name in the distant.

"Do you hear talking?"

"Yup, It's Bom and Seunghyun waiting to say hello but I've waited decades for you to return home to me. They've had a lifetime with you so if they don't mind I'm going to be selfish a litle longer?"

Just as quickly as they garbled voices started it ended as they seem to hear Jiyong's plea. Their world once again silence except the music playing just for them and the soft moan that escaped as Jiyong's lips came crashing down on hers.

Life is eternal, love is immortal, death is only a horizon and a horizon is nothing, save the limit of our sight. Rossiter W. Raymond.

In every shadow there is light, In every tear there is a smile and in death I now know there is life. I know that in death there are no endings, only new beginnings. Jiyong and I have a chance to start over in our afterlife and with any life we start from here on out bringing you my happy ending.

Authors note:

Thank-You everyone for subscribing and taking the time to read this. I appreciate it. =D

Thank-You agyney, fymermaids, qwertyque, itsxxxxy, ephemeral1911, spingtempo and anthesterion for your upvotes. =D

@ agyney, ephmeral1911, HeroAce5 and MerodiasuSairenHime Thank-You for your comments and as bad as this sounds I'm happy I made you cry, I know I've done job correctly then.

@ Ciel_GZB I went with option C lol! Hopefully no one found it too cliche.

@ fandhate Jiyong was never meant to come back to her and the reason she was happy getting the letters was because they proved her wrong. She had gone through life thinking only about the negative aspect of Jiyong. It made her happy to know he wanted her still just as much as she wanted him even though life didn't work out that way.

@ qwertyque lol! I brought the onions muhahahaha! As for a sequel I wasn't planning on it and if I did the only thing I can think of would be Jiyong's POV. How he felt about meeting Chaerin, their fight, what he felt when he let and how he became a war hero. If everyone is up for it then I'm sure I can think of something.

If everyone is up for Jiyong's pov then leave me a comment for me.

Chapter 6: Okay I read this story again but the worst part is now I am a RiRin shipper (Idk why I read this again) and SkyDragon shipper. I cried REALLY HARD when the ending part between Seungri and Chaerin. Seungri is just so nice. But then SkyDragon come and I cried again knowing the have their happy ending. I know this is just a fanfic and I am probably over-react but this is just to sad to beautiful. Thank you for making this story.
