Description
Imagine forgetting your life. Imagine not knowing anything about yourself. Imagine having no idea where you are. Can you imagine?
This is my life. I don’t have a single clue what my name is, or who my friends and family are, what year it is - I don’t know anything. All I know is that I woke up in a hospital in Seoul, South Korea and that I had been hurt. All I had on me was a cell phone with absolutely no contacts in it, a key that opened God knows what, and a small slip of paper.
It read, “They know. Don’t trust anyone; wait for me.”
How are you supposed to figure out who you are when you can’t trust anyone? How are you supposed to be safe when “they know”? How are you supposed to wait for someone when you don’t know who you’re waiting for?
Somehow, I’ll have to uncover the mystery of not only this slip of paper, but of my life.

Okay, so obviously, I'm insane for starting another story, right? Well, this idea that I got from Maria (SKID_11) was really quite brilliant, and the minute I read the plot, I was hooked. I wanted to know what was gonna happen, so you know what? I'm gonna find out what happens, because I'm writing this! *cheers*
The cool thing about this is that you won't really know who the narrator/main character is, until later. :) Since the whole mystery of this is the guy trying to find out who he is, yeah. All you know from the Characters section is that this is an SM-based story. That's a duh, though, since I only write SM. :P This is also an AU story, so the people in here are not idols. And everyone is also using their real name, except for one person - you'll see in the first chapter. :)
I hope you'll all like this story, and believe me, I know you'll probably have a billion questions. But sorry, I'm not answering a single one, because all will be revealed sooner or later!

Foreword
Pain blossomed in my skull as I tried to lift my head, a haze seeming to cover my eyes, making it impossible for me to regard my surroundings correctly.
There were no thoughts in my head as the haze seeming to cover my eyes left, and I blinked rapidly so I would be able to see where I was. White walls, surrounding me - a steady beating of what was a heart monitor. How I knew this, I didn’t know. Frankly speaking, I really didn’t know anything at the moment.
A hospital, my brain randomly supplied me. I’m in a hospital.
I? Who am I, anyway? I searched my mind, but it was completely blank. Filled with nothing. It was like a bottomless pit, because there was absolutely nothing filling it. No memories, no emotions apart from fear and confusion - just a null void.
Panic - it immediately paralyzed me, and I sat up quickly, but this proved to be a dumb move from me, because my vision became hazy again and pain blossomed in my head once more. As if I was hung over or something.
What was going on? I wondered to myself, looking around the hospital room in confusion. And why don’t I remember anything about myself?
“Oh, you’re awake,” came a voice from near me; I turned my head to see a pretty light brown-haired woman standing from behind the partially-opened door. “I’m Seo Joohyun, your nurse. Are you alright? Do you need anything?”
“Water,” I whispered to her in a raspy voice, my throat sore and throbbing for some fluids.
She nodded her head and grabbed a glass of water sitting beside the heart monitor, before shuffling over and holding it out for me. With a weak hand, I grasped the glass and slowly, carefully, brought it to my parched lips and drank as quickly as I could without choking on the liquid.
After I was satisfied, I gave it back to her, saying a small thank you.
“W-Who am I?” I asked her curiously, stuttering a bit on my words.
Joohyun looked over at me and blinked slowly, thoughtfully. “Well, I don’t really know,” she told me honestly. “You were brought in a few days ago, heavily bleeding with bruises and wounds all over you. Doctor Lee thought that you wouldn’t survive, but you did. You were in a coma for a day or two, before waking up to where you are now. We tried to do a search on you, but we haven’t gotten any results yet.”
I leaned back against the bed, unable to believe what she had told me.
But surely, they’d find out something about me soon. I mean, the hospital was a pretty knowledgeable place, and it had various records. There had to be one measly record having to do with me, right?
At this point, I could only hope. I could only assume.
“Could you keep me posted, please?” I asked Nurse Joohyun, who smiled warmly at me and nodded her head.
“I should get going then. I’ll need to tell Doctor Lee that you’re awake. I’m going to be right back, so don’t move,” she smiled at me again. “Though I hardly think you’ll be going anywhere.” With a slight wave, the nurse who called herself Joohyun left the room, leaving me with my blank mind and suddenly-raging emotions.
Who am I? I thought to myself, as if all the answers would rush back to me if I did so. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive any answers at all.
My question remained unanswered.
