Insanity

Description

Reika was the poignant character of the group, it was obvius. They strutted around with the air and presence of those much older. It was a fixation that the group had with perfection. Their perfect façade was not just something that was practiced; you had to be born with it. The world around them seemed so unimaginative and moribund, which allowed them stand our more than they intended.

However.

Even the flawless Mona Lisa had been worn away, cracks leaking through the pristine varnish that had been applied to stop just that.

It was reaching the end of their reign over the desolate school, and it was time to leave the comfortable bubble that they had been encased in for four years. She had to keep up that propitious side of her, and yet still enter the harsh world of reality.

Jongdae was somewhat freelance. He was that obscure child that your parents decided not to let you play with. He was a mixture of strange and fascinating. Jongdae was one of those that emitted an eleemosynary aurora, willing to help those who really needed it. But there was still that inchoate side of him.

That smile can't last forever.

He had limited time. He had no control over what was to happen to him; only allowed to watch and wait. Each twilight and new moon that he experienced prompted him of the time he had left.

But there was something wrong with him, and no one could put a finger on it.

----

The girl that wandered around the park. She emitted a coruscating sense of air around her, making heads turn but only to shy away from the scowl that was etched on her face.

It's not that she didn't like the attention, in fact she craved it.

But it wasn't time to be distracted; she couldn't let something so petty ruin her first day alone.

Alone.

She repeated the word in her head, remembering the others' faces when they had finally decided to go their separate ways. They couldn't take the antediluvian of the town and had left, adhering to their image of the perfect life in the city.

But she had stayed in the quiant small town of Dellmere, hoping maybe she could finally find her true love. And rid herself of this mask that she had painted herself.

It's only a matter of time before her cracks start to show.

It was amusing to watch people break down, when humans delude
themselves to believe that they are doing good, or that what they're
doing is helpful.
