Every year, in the many towns of Milosis, guards from the Palace would come and take away anyone who had turned 10 since their last visit. Of course, everyone was against it, but what could they do? If the people of Milosis voiced their complaints, they would just be killed.

Several years back, Luhan was taken.

But...

He was saved by a group of rebels who were trying to save as many of those taken, as they could.

So, he was spared the torture of training in the Palace for upcoming fights.

However, he was to be a part of the band of rebels who saved him.

And their mission, was to kill those who lived in the Palace... Including the Princess Chorong who Luhan had taken a liking to when he was assigned to spying on her.
