Emotion

Description

He never knew how it felt to be helpless.

All his life, he had always been in power.

The weak and powerless bowed down to him, even the rich and powerful had to respect him.

He never noticed how the extravagant way he lived is so different from the countless people who struggled to stay alive everyday.

He didn't know. He never knew.

Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he had always taken things for granted.

Toyed with expensive race cars, toyed with girls.

Everyone was his toy, solely for his entertainment purposes.

He cared for no one, felt for no one and never saw anyone other than himself.

Anger - that's all he ever felt. He lived with hatred every single day.

Hated his father for taking him away from his mother.

His name is Bang Yongguk.

The only son to the biggest mafia bosses in the whole nation, Bang Jaehyuk.

Foreword

"What do you think our baby daughter will grow up into?" he asked his wife lovingly as they gazed at their sleeping newborn. "She could be an artist, or a musician. Or even a dancer like you!"

His wife chuckled as she laid her head onto his shoulder.

"Well you're a little too excited aren't you? She's barely two month's old! Fancy you already thinking about her career path."

"I'll let her be whatever she wants to be. As long as she's happy with what she's doing, I don't mind. All I want to see if my baby girl growing up strong and beautiful, just like her mother." he leaned in to plant a kiss onto his wife's forehead.

Sure, they might not be the richest people, but they were confident that they could provide their daughter with a stable and loving home to grow up in, and that's all that really mattered at the moment. Life might not always be kind to them but they were determined to make the best out of everything, and they wanted to live by that principle. Because one can only be happy when one is truly thankful and content for the life they have.

The man sighed, "My life is perfect with you by my side. I can't imagine what life would be without you or my little ray of sunshine here," he reached out and smoothed down his daughter's soft and fluffy hair.

"I'm lucky to have you by my side, too." she beamed happily at her husband.

"Get him!"

Strong burly men burst into the house and ignored the screams of an innocent woman and the cry of an infant. A man stepped forward in fear, his hands trembling as he tried to protect his wife and newborn daughter.

"Please...don't hurt my family! I-"

Before the man could even explain, a gunshot sounded throughout the entire neighborhood, shattering the silence of the night. The woman gasped as she saw her husband fall to the ground, lifeless. As she hugged her daughter closer to her chest, the intruder turned to her and lifted the gun up, aiming a shot right at her forehead. But before he could shoot, another man hollered in an authoritative voice,

"Stop! We only came for the man. Leave the woman and the baby alone."

The intruders left upon hearing the command, leaving a woman sobbing over her dead husband.
