White Dragon's Story
The lovely elven seamstress watched her new apprentice with her hazel eyes. She had to admit that the twelve-year-old had learned quite a bit in the past few years about drawing even though she had had no formal training and, thus, had mostly learned through experimentation. Though she was nowhere as skilled as most elven children her age at it, Hyoyeon had to admit that Sooyeon was an astounding artist. Sooyeon had already proven herself worthy of working for her when she presented an assortment of dresses she had designed on her first day in the shop. The baron's wife had even wanted one of those dresses the girl had designed. Hyoyeon was already impressed and knew that her apprentice would only improve over time.
It was a slow day. Hyoyeon was taking a break from making an outfit for general sale and watching Sooyeon as she drew some random dress that was quite charming. The look in her eyes almost seemed to make him think that she saw something hidden deep within him. That made him a tad uncomfortable. He smiled at her anyway, though. "Who is this lovely young lady?"
"This is Jung Sooyeon, my new apprentice. She's quite a gifted young artist."
The nobleman's eyes flashed to Hyoyeon. "Really? So you aren't designing your own creations anymore?"
"I did not say that." She looked a little flustered at the accusation. "But if you're here to commission an outfit today, Yul, she will be drawing it in my place. She does still need more practice with making men's outfits, after all."
"Well," he looked back to Sooyeon, "I think that will be most refreshing. You've been designing my outfits for ages now." He smiled at the young artist. "I cannot wait to see what you create for me."
Sooyeon inclined her head in as respectable a manner as she co
