Sehun taps his feet impatiently, if Luhan doesn’t come downstairs within five minutes they’re both gonna be late for school.

“He’s just a bit excited, Sehun. He’s been wanting to follow you to school since he could remember!” Mrs Lu smiles, handing Luhan’s backpack to him. “Please take care of my Lulu when I’m not around.”

“Of course, Mrs Lu,” he smiles back. Just as Sehun was about to call for Luhan (for the third time) they see the little boy running down the marble staircase in a rush.

“Luhan! Don’t run! You’ll fall!” Sehun panics and hurries over to the bottom of the stairs.

Luhan jumps into his arms and laughs, “Sorry hyung, Luhannie didn’t want you leave first.”

Sehun pinches the boy’s nose lightly before setting him down on the ground and reaching for his tiny hand. He bows to Mrs Lu before leading little Luhan towards the front door where his driver is already holding the car door open.

Sehun helps Luhan climb into the car before following inside.

“Hyung, are we there yet?”

“Not yet, Lu.”

“Hyung, are we almost there?”

“No, Lu. I’ll tell you when we are.”

“Hyung, are-”

“No, Lu. We are nowhere near school.”

Luhan pouts, his eyebrows furrowed. He lets go of Sehun’s hand and shuffles over to the far side and settles on staring out the window, watching the tall buildings continue getting taller as they drive further into the city.

Sehun watches Luhan from his place and smiles a little, he knows that Luhan was just excited and he didn’t really mean to throw him off like that. So he reaches his hand out to pat the little boy’s head only to have the said boy duck away with a small grunt.

The older frowns.
