Opening the door to my house, I brought the baby -now named Yuri- closer to my chest for warmth. Yul -my nickname for her- was giggling uncontrollably at me as she patted my cheeks constantly. She was so very adorable. I still remembered the unbelievable situation  in the court just now.

It was silent in the courtroom. The only sound that could be heard was my rapidly fast heartbeat, echoing in the room. The jury was staring at me, as though I was guilty of something. But I wasn't. And I hoped that I was going to do the right thing. The judge was an old man who was staring at me as well. But I couldn't really tell if she was angry or not. Her stare was blank. 

The room was dimly lit up by a chandelier above my head, but that didn't make me feel better. It made me feel worse. Is this the right thing to do?

"Xi Luhan" The judge finally spoke up. My head rose. "On the 29th of November, you asked for a license to take care of a 7 month old baby girl who you found in Seoul. Why?" His voice was so very stern, I had to swallow that lump in my throat. My hands were sweaty, but I was shivering. The tension in this room was too much for me to take.

"Your honor, when I found her. I was suddenly reminded of my childhood. She looked so very lost in the world, and she didn't have anyone to hold her. Just like me when I was..." My words trailed of when I realized where I was going with that. Luckily, the judge understood me. He raised an eyebrow.

"And?"

"Well, I just want to give her everything I ever wanted when I was a child. A family, love and a chance. It's not her fault that she ended up in an alley in the rain." I explained shakily. I could feel more than 10 pairs of eyes boring into my back. The tension in the room was killing me, slowly.

(A/N: By the way, Luhan's character will have some inner thoughts. Meaning, it's his rage; a conscience in your mind. In Luhan's perspective, his inner is a very erted idiot. Thank you, now back to the story)

That's it! He inwardly screamed in frustration. They think that we've lived long enough and that we're mental! We should run back home and pack our bags while we still have the chance, yeah? Move to Mexico and change our name to Pablo Miggins! We'll have to hurry and--

--could you shut up for one second?

Why, oh why do I have an idiot in my mind? His words made me more nervous than I was before. I couldn't help but picture myself in the outskirts of Mexico as a guy named Pablo Miggins. Wait, why Pablo Miggins?

"Mr. Luhan?" An old, husky voice interrupted my thoughts. My head snapped upward to find the judge narrowing his eyes at me. We're dead! We are so dead!!?!

I bit my lip as I continued clenching my fists till my knuckled turned white. I was scared and frightened. I didn't know what was going to happen next. But the people in The Immortal Children's Program that if I were to make a wrong move, I'm dead. We WILL DIE!!! BWAHAA... This is all your fault!

What the are you talking about?!?

If you didn't bring that baby here, you would've been safe! But no, you HAVE to get that license first!

Of course! It's the freaking rules you bastard!

"Yes, your honor?" I managed to stutter my words. I was hesitant but, I looked at him in the eyes and gave him my most serious look to show him; I was DEAD SERIOUS. "Even though I don't know anything about that little girl, but I was positive; I was meant to meet her. God gave me a gift from the heavens. It's my responsibility to take care of her, and I will. I'll be by her side until she grows old and, finally leaves me. Even though it'll only be a few years, but at least I'll know that after all the years of pain and loneliness, I'll have a few years of joy and happiness."

And then the unexpected happened;

The judge smiled gently. "I have nothing to say to that jaw-dropping speech." My jaw dropped to the floor, as did the idiot's. Wait, does that freaking mean...?

"Well, as judge of the court, and it seems the jury agrees as well?" The jury nodded in agreement. "All in favor of Mr. Xi Luhan becoming the legal guardian of this baby girl?" What the... Hell?

Everyone, they were ALL raising their hands... Wow, I did good.. You didn't do anything!?! A loud bang echoed in the dark room. C-Could it be? I turned my head back to the judge, his smile still visible on his face.

"Congratulations, Mr. Xi Luhan. You are now, and forever, the legal guardian of--"."--Yuri" I interrupted. I was positive that her name should be Yuri, that was my best friend's name. She was so nice to me in the program. I've always thought of her as my own sister.

♦ 4 years later ♦

"Lulu~" The little 4 year old girl giggled happily as she ran around her guardian. "Catch me! Catch me!" She cheered as she danced crazily. Luhan laughed at her. It's been 4 years now, but he couldn't help but love the little ball of joy.

"Alright, alright! Here we go!" He swooped her up in his arms, then lifted her onto his shoulders. "Fwhoosh!!!!!" He ran across the halls with Yuri on his shoulders, laughing and giggling madly.

"Faster, Lulu Faster!" She continued to cheer. 

But I knew damned well, this wasn't going to last long. And in the end, the only one that will be sad, is me. For, I know this is crazy, but, I have fallen in love with this child.

♦ 10 years later(SNEAK PEEK) ♦

"Put your hands in the air, and step away from the girl" The Policeman who was behind the car ordered using the megaphone. I obeyed, taking a few steps back from Yul who was now scared to death. She was shivering, and her face was covered in tears.

"Please, don't leave me, Lulu~"

Damn the policeman! Damn them! Take her away from all this and move to Mexico!!

What is with you and Mexico??
