Foreword
Sweaty palms and beaming lights glimmering. The stage was incredibly big. My eyesight was fading as the judges’ faces became blurry and unrecognizable.
I realized that this just some test to see if I could truly adjust to the “lights”. My heart is beating as fast as the speed of light, but I managed to stand up straight with confidence, looked at where I believed the DJ was, and nodded towards him so he could play my music. The soft piano began and my feet slid across the floor in perfect measured steps.
The song continued and I looked up into the crowd where HE was. The strange boy with the perfect brown hair and beautiful hands. I saw him outside near the check in table where he was staring at me. The other girls said that he was the one who was irresistible. He was the boy who was the outsider but somehow the loved one. He was the boy that could sing his heart out and matter-of-factly put on eyeliner better than any girl in the room.
He was Byun Baekhyun.
