Their love was of a unique kind. That’s why it was hard to understand. They said it was stupid and somehow indecent. More than being a man and loving another was. Because each of them loved two other men. Equally, truthfully, simply. It wasn’t anything nasty about it. Love never is like that. Love is what it made them continue, it made them grit their teeth while girls talked to the ones they loved, that made them smile when it was hard and it hurt. Love was a beautiful thing, they won’t allow theirs to slip away. Never.
