Lee Ji Eun, a girl nicknamed as IU in her class. She’s smart, beautiful, and pretty much the girl you will like in your first meeting. She’s taking up the course of Architecture with ease because of her hard work in studying. She may got the looks and the brains but the only thing that she lacks is money.

 

Her Parents died in an early age because of an accident. Yet, It didn’t stopped IU in reaching her dreams. Her Mother’s sister adopted her and tried to raise her as a fine young girl.

 

She got accepted in a famous school because of a scholarship and because of those extra credits that she earned in her high school life. She has plenty of friends in her class and it seems that she has no problems in life with those smiles and giggles;  that you always stays in her face.

 

But they wrong. She has a problem that is stuck somewhere in her mind…. And heart??

 

IU’s P.O.V.

 

‘Is he looking at me?’ I mentally asked myself. I brushed a strand of my hair with my fingers and continued to act like I’m listening to the professor in front of me. I can feel my heart beat thumping like crazy as I imagined HIM looking right at me.

 

Then, I slowly turned my head on the back and took a quick glance towards the guy on the corner. My lips turned downward as I saw HIM listening at the professor as if earlier before I saw HIM looking at my direction.

 

“IU!”

 

I quickly snapped my head back towards the professor and stood up.

 

“Sir?”

 

“Answer this equation on the board please.” The professor ordered.

 

I looked at the equation and smiled as I saw that I know how to answer it. I was slowly walking towards the board. Then I heard a very familiar name that has been called by our professor.

 

“Suho! Answer the smae equation on the other side of the board.” The professor called.

 

As if my legs have a mind of its own; I turned towards the direction of the other student that has been called to answer the same question. My eyes already took its view on HIM that stood up and slowly followed me.

 

‘Why so Handsome?’ I asked myself.

 

In a few seconds, Suho and I faced the board with the same equation written on it.

 

“Suho and IU, This is gonna be a game. A game that will test whom of you has the fastest analysing skills and writing skills. 1^st honor versus the 2^nd honor.” , the professor continued.

 

I can feel my ears ringing as I heard my schoolmates shouting and throwing their bets on who will win.

 

“You can do it IU!!”

 

“SUHO I LOVE YOU!!”

 

“IU WILL WIN BECAUSE SHE’S SMART!”

 

“SHUT IT!”, said by the professor. “Let the test….”

 

Then I looked at Suho, on the other side. My heart felt like it’s gonna burst as I saw him looking right at me. What made it worst was he mouthed the words, ‘Good luck’ and he smiled at me. Those made my head spin and my legs wobble a little bit.

 

‘START!”

 

My head snapped back to sanity after 2 seconds.

 

Right now, Suho is writing on the other side and looks determined on winning. That made me think straight and for a minute focused on the equation in front of me.

 

(Lunchbreak)

 

“Why am I so dumb?”, I asked to my friend Suzy as she ate her cheeseburger. While I’m just looking at the marshmallows I bought for myself.

 

Then I looked at Suzy, she was no longer eating her cheeseburger; Instead, she’s looking at me like I told her that I’m a lesbian.

 

“Are you kidding me, right?”

 

I shook my head and remembered how I lost at the little test in advance trigonometry earlier.

 

“You’re on the Dean’s list for Christ sake! Now you’re asking me if you’re dumb. You’re the only girl who took Architecture in this school!” she reminded me. I was reminded how hard this school is. I am the only girl who passed on getting here with this course. Many girls tried but they failed due to different reasons.

 

“No! Not that! I’m talking about… him” I muttered as I took a marshmallow inside my mouth.

 

Kim Joon Myun, a boy nicknamed as Suho in this school. He is taking up the course of Engineering and rumour has it that he’s the son of a very rich couple in England. He’s on the Dean’s List just like me and he got the looks, brain, soul, and money.

 

In short, He’s the prince in every way possible. He is the very main reason why I can’t sleep early and why my heart and brain keep doing something that I don’t normally experience.

 

The truth is…. I have this feelings for him. It’s been a year since I got this feeling over this guy. I’m even hiding a picture of him smiling that I downloaded through facebook and got it developed last month. I did that because of……. Nothing. I’m just perfectly and stupidly in love with this guy.

 

“What now?” Suzy asked.

 

“I lost to him earlier this morning.” I told her.

 

I lost just because of those things he did to me. The smile that made my heart flutter in every stupid way, those kind words he mouthed me that made me even like or love him more, and the way he looked at me made my brain process slowly the things that are happening around me.

 

In frustration I sang a song that I completely relate into.

I placed my head on top of the table and closed my eyes and answered, “Yes. Very much”. I imagined myself sleeping on Suho’s lap as he hum me to sleep with his sweet voice.

 

After a few moments, I heard her say “Guess what? I think I’m seeing something that you will like very much”.

 

That made me open my eyes and sit straight up. I looked at where she was looking and my heart felt those thumping’s that made my head swoon in every single way.

 

“May I sit beside you?”

 

All I did was quickly stood straight up and answered “Of course! No problem”. He did took a sit beside me. I feel like I’m being engulfed by fire because I can feel my face getting hotter by the second as I see that face staring at me.

 

“I’m gonna check on Soo hyun on the library. He’s probably reading there” Suzy said.

 

She stood and gave me a wink before she left us.

 

She left me with this guy. I don’t know if I’m gonna be angry or grateful towards Suzy after this.

 

“Hi…” I said to Suho.

 

“Hey..” he answered back.

 

It felt as if awkwardness invades our conversation. Good thing he started something into the conversation.

 

“So I was thinking…. You’re pretty good at Advance Physics right?” He asked.

 

‘He noticed me?’ I smiled as I thought those words.

 

“Yeah, I guess”

 

“So.. I was thinking… Would you help me on that subject? In return, I’ll help you in Advance Trigonometry. Please?” He begged and flashed a smile that made me want to lean in and kiss those lips.

 

“Yeah… I would like that” I smiled back.

 

After a while, I decided to go run after Suzy because If I ever get a minute with this guy without him knowing about my feelings, I’ll truly do something that only fools do.

 

“So.. I guess I catch up with Suzy. Would you mind?” I asked.

 

I can almost see disappointment in his eyes but he quickly got it over and nodded in agreement.

 

I quickly stood up and ran outside the cafeteria.

 

In the hallways, I was shocked to hear his voice booming in the hallways.

 

“WAIT! IU!! IU!! YOU FORGOT SOMETHING!”

 

I stopped and turned back. I saw Suho standing before me with a very familiar pink wallet in his hands.

 

‘Oh God!’ I mentally tried to kill myself. It’s my wallet! It has a picture of him inside that wallet. What if he sees that picture! He’ll realize how a girl like me is head over hills by him just like his fan girls in these University.

 

“You dropped this” He said as he raised his hand.

 

I got back my wallet and asked him again.

 

“Did you open it?”

 

He nodded.

 

I feel like I’m about to die right here. Die from embarrassment because he’ll think that I’m a stalker or something.

 

“Did you see something inside it?”

 

He nodded.

 

From here on out, I’m planning on committing suicide because of my stupid mistake that I did. Instead of putting his picture in my room, I decided to put it inside my wallet. How stupid of me.

 

“You saw the picture.. Didn’t you” I asked once again.

 

He nodded once more.

 

I was about to go away from him but he said “Wait. I’ll show you something first”

 

My curiosity got me so I stayed.

 

Suho picked something inside his pocket and took his brown wallet.

 

“Open it” He ordered as he handed me his wallet.

 

I opened it and surprised of a picture that got my attention. On the side was a picture of a girl that looked like me, eating a marshmallow on the courtyard.

 

“Gee… How similar are we?” he muttered.

 

I looked at him because my brain is processing what he said. Is he saying what I think he’s trying to say?

 

Then he did something that really got me surprised. He pulled me towards him and hugged my unmoving body. His aroma instantly invaded my nose and all I could think about was, Is this even real?
