Luhan knew how to kill your buzz. Seriously. He just appears from nowhere and surprises you. All the time! However, Taeyong wasn't threatened by that.

Brat.

Taeyong: Yes. Math lessons, hyung.

Luhan: I see. How is this...a math lesson?

Taeyong: It's called a break, hyung.

Luhan: Hmm...break, huh?

Me: Lu ge orz. My head can't take any more n umbers at this moment. I need to take a breath.

Taeyong: Otherwise, your sister will go crazy. *laughs and snorts*

Luhan: Your parents know you're here?

Taeyong: Mm-hmm.

Luhan: Haoba. No flirting inside the house.

Taeyong: Arasseo, hyung.

And he poked me as Luhan walked away.

Taeyong: Pssst...let's go out.

Me: Huh?

Taeyong: No flirting inside the house. Let's go?

Me: Shut up!

Luhan: I heard that.

And Taeyong giggled. He his lips and wiggled his eyebrows at me before he winked.

Pfffftttt... Damn you.

I swatted him again and he ducked. Luhan turned his head around and glared at us. I sat up straight and placed the rolled up newspaper on the counter and took a sandwich and bit into it. Taeyong poured citrus juice on his glass and drank some.

Luhan walked away and sat at the living room...where he could still see us. Xiumin and Suho suddenly appeared from the back door. The two were wearing surfer shorts and walking barefoot. They seemed to want to go swimming, but neither had towels, so they came back in to get them. When they saw the plate of sandwiches on the kitchen counter, both of them made a beeline toward it and grabbed each a sandwich. Suho sat on the stool next to Taeyong and asked the househelp to please pass him an empty glass for the juice. Xiumin sat on my other side and took a sip from my glass.

Here were two more guards, to be honest. I knew they were trying so hard to be subtle about it, but they fail the subtle part. LOL.

Taeyong didn't mind the two, he continued to eat his sandwich and drank his juice. Then he started to talk again, not minding the curious looks on Suho and Xiumin's faces.

Taeyong: I went to a normal school in the UK, it only changed when I came back to Korea. Appa didn't want me to study in a normal school. He enrolled me in homeschool with a special curriculum.

Me: That must be boring.

Taeyong: Not really. I sort of have some knowledge on most subjects because I took up the equivalent back in London.

Me: Oh? So, when did you just move back to Korea?

Taeyong: Less than a year ago.

Me: Did you like it or hate it?

Taeyong: Moving back? Hell, I hated it.

Me: Watch your language, please. You are in my house.

Taeyong: Sorry, your highness.

Me: Tch. *snorts*

Taeyong: Waeyo gotta be so rude?

Me: And I'm the one who's rude? Hah!

I couldn't believe him.

Urghhh!

Taeyong: Okay, okay. Enough with the rude...stuff...whatever.

Me: You better.

Taeyong: There was a huge difference. Living with my harabeoji and halmeoni compared to living with my immediate family.

Me: Why send you to London, but not Seul Gi eonni or Jeno?

Taeyong: *shrugs* I don't know.

Me: You didn't ask your appa?

Taeyong: Tch. He doesn't answer those types of questions.

Me: Have you even tried?

Taeyong: That's easy for you to say.

Me: Is it that hard to talk to your appa?

Taeyong: Yes.

I knew Suho and Xiumin were listening in, but they didn't it. They were the oldies, so it was expected that they show some good manners.

Me: Maybe you should start talking to him in a friendly way.

Taeyong: Hahaha. Friendly? You must be kidding me.

Me: I'm not.

Taeyong: Look, it's not your problem. I'll deal with it myself.

Me: Brat.

Taeyong: *silence*

He seemed to be having a tough battle inside him. He gulped his citrus juice and looked away. He met Suho's eyes, because he seemed to have forgotten that my brothers were there, too.

Suho: Hi.

Taeyong: Uh...

Suho: Math lessons with Xiao Yi?

Taeyong: Uhm..yeah.

Suho: Okay. Free, I suppose?

Taeyong: *chuckles* Of course.

Suho: Good, because she has not informed us she's going to have a tutor. I thought you're on a...home..date...or something.

Me: Gege orz.

Suho: Did I say anything? Nope. I didn't.

Then he stood up, took another sandwich and walked away. Xiumin followed him and they disappeared above the stairs. Going to get towels, I suppose.

I could hear the boys in the front lawn. They must have surrendered trying to practice skateboarding because of the small area. If we were in the old house, I was sure that they would be able to practice there. The land area of that house was larger than this one. Especially now that papa bought the lot behind our house. The front lawn would be bigger than before. The garage was in the basement, so no more cars outside, unless the oldies preferred to park their cars outside.

I finished my sandwich and juice. Then I got up and told Taeyong that break was over and we needed to get back to my lessons. He was here just for the math lessons, but he decided to stay until dinner. Not that I'm complaining, but I wasn't expecting him to stay that long. He kinda offered to help me with my other subjects, but I refused. I told him I was okay with the other lessons. He didn't have anything else to do, so he just amused himself by watching me and playing games on his phone. He only stopped playing on his phone when he noticed his battery life got to twenty percent.

He didn't bring a spare batt and charger.

He didn't wanna be with a dead phone, because it was his only link to his driver. I told him to write down his driver's phone number so I can save it for him in case his phone died and he can use my phone to call. He just shook his head, telling me that it was not proper for a guy to use a girl's phone for his personal use.

Authentic gentleman at last? I still doubt it.

Anyway, during lunch, the boys tried to be civil with him. They kind of had a hard time avoiding asking Taeyong questions. Especially Baek, Sehun and Chen.

Awkward.

This was more awkward than when Sohee eonni was here.

And then I was reminded again.

Aish.

I saw Xiumin and Sohee kissing that day. And Jungkook was with me. What if it was Taeyong? My eyes automatically found Taeyong's lips. He saw me looking at him and he smiled knowingly.

I almost choked on my food.

I immediately looked away and took a sip of water. This brat would have me dying in no time.

After lunch, I decided to just lounge and put off my lessons for the next day. I suddenly lost all inspiration to study. So many distractions. Yeah, right. Many. Distractions. Taeyong was many distractions... I couldn't go to my room to sleep, because I had a guest.

Pffft...

Of course, I couldn't invite him to come in my room. That would be against the rules. And I was sure that even before he sets foot on the second floor, my brothers would be breathing down his neck.

I led him to the backyard. Out by the swimming pool. We stayed there for half the afternoon until the boys decided to go swimming. Except Lay and Kyungsoo, who came out with their school stuff and dumped them on the table in the glider swing. I made a mental note to ask papa to have one built for our backyard in the new home. I was rather fond of the glider swing.

Memories.

Gahhh...

I led him back to the front lawn when the boys decided to go swimming. I sat at the table under the tree. He sat opposite me.

Him: Had enough numbers for today?

Me: Yes.

Him: I hope you remember the shorcuts I taught you.

Me: Of course. I wrote them down.

Him: I saw.

Me: Neh.

Him: You learn fast, you know?

Me: Do I?

Him: At least that's what I observed.

Me: Thanks.

Him: Chill. I think you need something more than just a break.

Me: *nods*

Him: Are you thinking about what's happening these days?

Me: Yes.

Him: It's scary, I know.

Me: I don't know what's going to happen, and that's what makes me scared.

Him: Don't be. If you're with me, you're safe. I promise you that.

Me: What if the next target is you?

Him: Can't be.

Me: What makes you so sure?

Him: I've police protection.

Me: You're kidding me.

Him: No. I'm serious.

Me: Your appa?

Him: Yeah. Just as soon as that incident at the restaurant...

Me: You mean when we went to get ice cream and...?

Him: Exactly.

Me: Why would your appa-

Him: At first it was a stupid idea. Anywhere I go, there are at least two or three cops in civilian clothes follow me. But now, I'm kinda thankful for that.

Me: So that's why your appa agreed that you come here?

Him: Yes. And for another reason.

Me: Another reason?

Him: Do I have to spell it out for you?

Me: Sorry. I ask because I don't know. Duh?

Him: Tchh... It's appa's idea for us to...you know. Ahh, you already know it.

Me: Oh.. Oh... Oh...

Him: Yeah.

Then silence filled the air. My ringing phone broke the silence.

Jungkook was calling.

I answered it. But I shifted to face the wall, instead of at Taeyong.

Me: Hello.

JK: Touchdown Korea.

Me: Glad you're safe.

JK: Yup.

Me: Are you home already or still at the airport?

JK: Home. Actually, we arrived earlier this morning. I already fell asleep. Sorry I forgot to call right away.

Me: Hey, no biggie.

JK: Okay.

Taeyong cleared his throat to announce his presence. Silence on the other line. Then I heard Jungkook mutter something. I asked him what it was, and he said it was only him stretching out because he was still in bed and he just woke up from his sleep. Taeyong started to sing again.

"Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life, say yes, say yes..."

Brat.

I heard Jungkook take a deep breath.

Me: Uhm...Taeyong is helping me with my math.

JK: Is he, now?

Me: Yes...

JK: When I get back, I can do all your math homework. Or...you can email it to me.

Me: Geez. I just needed a little help. Don't worry about it.

JK: I'm not worried about you not learning. I'm worried about you learning something from him.

Me: Why?

JK: Because..

Me: Because?

JK: Because...because...

I heard Taeyong chuckle from his seat. I reached out my hand and punched his arm. When he rubbed his arm and "Ouch!" I heard Jungkook snort.

JK: You're becoming violent now.

Me: I'm not.

JK: I think you hurt his ego. Hahahah.

Me: Shhhh...

JK: At least you haven't kicked me or anything. I feel special. Do you hear that, Taeyong?

OTL.

And Taeyong had to sing a little louder.

"Why you gotta be so rude? Don't you know I'm human too? Why you gotta be so rude? I'm gonna marry her anyway..."

.

I glared at Taeyong. He just smirked and winked at me when he saw I was getting annoyed.

JK: I'll call you later. I..uh...no. Skype. Later. Okay?

Me: Uhm...

JK: I gotta go. Uhm. I haven't had lunch yet.

Me: Oh. Okay. Eat well.

JK: Of course. Take care-

Me: I'm just home.

JK: I wasn't done.

Me: Oh?

JK: Take care from...him.

Me: *sigh*

JK: Nine o'clock tonight.

Me: Okay.

And he hung up the phone. If I was not mistaken, he'd be punching something right now and pretending it was Taeyong's face. I rolled my eyes.

Taeyong: He's in Korea, huh.

Me: Yes. For safety reasons.

Taeyong: Should have added more bodyguards, if I was his appa.

Me: Why you gotta be so rude?

Taeyong: Beats me...

And he shrugged.

Brat!

Me: You really are rude. I swear I won't pick you if you keep being rude.

Taeyong: So... *smirk* if I was...nicer...you'd pick me...?

Me: Aishhh...

I punched his arm again.

Him: OWWW! That hurt. You hit harder than before. Owww...

Me: Because why did you have to be so rude...

----------------------

Because Taeyong had dinner with us that night, it was another awkward moment. It was a little weird because papa kept trying to talk about business with him.

Wu Zun orz.

Mama was sort of preoccupied though. She had a bit of a problem at the clinic that afternoon. I guessed she was only thinking about it. But after a while, she sort of interrupted papa in the middle of yet another business question to Taeyong.

"He's just fifteen. Ah-Zun. Take your business stuff somewhere else."

LOL.

Mama was just annoyed by the fact that papa was...well...annoying. xD

Papa stopped talking at once and shook his head. He finished his dinner in silence, but listened to the chatter at the dining. Most of the chatter was still about the kidnapping incidents. The Mins have been moved to Hong Kong for the week. Their mom, who was pregnant, had to leave the clinic to mama and another pedia, to be with her family.

Jungkook and his family were in Korea. Taehyung and his family were in Hong Kong. And papa was considering bringing us to grandpa Wu's.

I just wished that the kidnapper was caught soon. So everyone can come back and stay.

Taeyong's driver arrived around thirty minutes later after dinner. He thanked papa and mama, and even my hawk-eyed brothers. Then he reminded me of the tips he taught me and said goodnight.

Mama: That boy is nice.

Papa: He should be.

Mama: No. Really. If he's just comfortable being in his father's shadow, he's alright. But I think he's not taking his position seriously.

Papa: Boys will be boys, Youmei.

Luhan: Flirting with Xiao Yi...

Papa: What was it you said, Luhan?

Luhan: Uh...nothing, pa.

Papa: Hmm...

Mama: I heard you, dear.

Luhan: Mama........uhm.....

Mama: *waves her hand* I was kidding.

But I knew mama heard Luhan.

Outside the gate, a few meters away, was a car. It was parked strategically behind a neighbor's car. Not one of the Wus nor the recently left Taeyong was aware it was there to observe.

"Boss, someone just left the house."

"Who?"

"A kid."

The one who was called the boss, looked out the window of the tinted car window. He watched as Taeyong's car passed by them. Then he half smiled, half grimaced.

Would he be happy or angry at what he saw?

Rather, who he saw.

When people start showing up and you were not expecting them to show up...but in the end you decide that you wanted them to show up, actually.

The Kims in Korea. The Mins in Hong Kong. The Wus all secured inside. School suspended for a week. And then Soo Taeyong shows up.

I gotta thank my lucky stars.

"Follow that car."

Someone's following Taeyong. It's the Orchestrator. What was his plan?  Anyway, I saw a cover of Rude by Rayvon Reed. Daebak! xD Yeah. That song is still stuck in my mind for more than two days now. LOL.  I'm quite amused at your guesses. Some of you are 30-50% correct. The rest of the 50% is still hidden.

Spoiler: I'm writing the part where someone gets hurt. As in badly hurt. Three of them. Badly hurt. ♫ ♪ Why I gotta be so rude...? ♪♫ Mianhae...  사랑해요! ♥♥♥ 我愛你們!吴愛你們!

Jungkook yeoreobun. Hahaha. Just get the bad thoughts away from your mind and watch him wiggle. And Yifan's -face. I miss him perform with EXO. But as long as he is happy now, I'm okay with it. SM is a ed up company, tbh.
