Hearts: Chase the Lady (On Hiatus)
Description
It began with a harmless wager and a simple game of Hearts, also called "Chase the Lady", but it turned into something much more complicated than was originally planned.
Foreword
“Why don’t we raise the stakes on the next couple of rounds?” Jongdae asked, casually throwing a card down on the pile. “We’re all going to highschool soon and no one will know or recognise us there.” A shiver ran up both Baekhyun’s and Sehun’s spines as he said this.
“What sort of stakes are we playing at,” Luhan asked, putting the queen of spades down. Sehun sighed and picked the four cards up.
“We’ll go back to zero points after this game,” Jongdae said as Baekhyun dropped the seven of hearts. “And for each point you get over the next couple of rounds,” Sehun put down the five of hearts. “You will have to dress as a girl. If you get the queen of spades, you’re going to have to spend 13 days dressed as a girl. For each heart, you have to spend one day. I’m also going to add the rule that if you pull the queen of diamonds, that’s eight days. The queen of hearts is worth four instead of one. The queen of clubs is worth six, so you’d better watch your cards. Shooting the moon is still worth 52 points for everyone else and drops your score to zero, but you have to collect all of the special cards. What do you guys say?”
Baekhyun glanced at the scores thusfar. Jongdae was leading in points by a lot and he still had zero. With a streak like this, he could probably come to school dressed as a guy. At most, he’d probably only spend a few days dressed as a girl. “Okay, I’ll take your bet. What’s the worst that could happen?”
Sehun scowled, more than usual. “You have the most to lose at this point,” he replied to Jongdae. “You’re the one losing by the most. I guess I’ll call your bluff.”
Luhan looked concerned but he also nodded in agreement. “So once we finish this game we’ll keep score for days of cross-dressing after the school year starts?”
“Yep.” For some reason, Jongdae looked much more devious than usual. Hearts was never his game but for some reason Baekhyun, Sehun, and Luhan felt very uneasy about their wager. On the other hand, none of them wanted to go back on it now that they had all agreed to it.
