"Sorry Ju, I gotta go. This is important."

"W-where are you going?" Juhua asked, hoping he would tell her.

"Just out for a bit. I'll probably home late so don't wait for me," he hurriedly put on his jacket and shoes.

"Wait, can -" And the door slammed shut, leaving her there alone. "So much for a nice dinner. I wanted to take you out for your birthday." She went back upstairs and changed into a white tee and black sweats. She boiled a pot of water before leaving to the bathroom to put her hair up into a comfortable ponytail. "Ramyun will always be my best friend."

"Look, if you don't want me here, all you had to do was tell me." Juhua let out a frustrated sigh.

"What are you talking about?" Hoseok asked, with confusion appearant in his voice.

"I'm not stupid, Hoseok. I know you've been cheating on me...with my best friend."

"W-what?! I would never do such a thing!" he stuttered and broke eye contact with Juhua.

That only made himself look guilty in Juhua's eyes. She took the loss of eye contact as an indirect confirmation that he was indeed dating her best friend behind her back. There wasn't anything she could do. She couldn't stop his doings. She surely couldn't stop him from seeing her best friend.

"Just what I thought. You can't even look me in the eye and say it to me."

"Ju, it isn't what it looks like," he pleaded.

"Oh really? Then do you care to explain why you've been seeing her without me knowing?"

"I-" He debated whether he should tell her the truth or not. "I can't. I seriously can't tell you. When the time comes, you'll understand then, so please, just try and understand."

"Try and understand that you're secretly dating? Okay," she nodded her head, keeping her cool. "I would have understood from the start if you didn't hide the fact that my best friend and you are dating!!! Let's...let's break up."
