If given the chance, would love really be sweeter the second time around?

I was surfing the internet when I came upon this poem.

"I once wrote about you
but I never really finished.
You see,
I can't think of enough words
to describe you.
You are all the adjectives
that a dictionary can offer
and more.
You are everything.
Well,
were everything.
Once."

That poem struck me hard, because it was how I felt in words. Maybe it was the wrong timing, maybe we were both childish--or I was. I hurt her and I guess she's not interested in the possibility of us anymore.

But at the back of mind, I have always thought...
What if... What if... if we have been together right now and not last year?

My mind was skimming through all the possibilities then I checked Facebook. Suzy's post welcomed me; it also signaled that she was online. Out of nowhere, I messaged her, not thinking if she would respond or give me a seenzone treatment.

"HI."

That was all I could say.

I must have taken the wrong pill earlier. I took the brave pill swallowing whatever doubt remained. I want to take a chance on us...
