Remnants of You
Description
My mind has already erased you, Suzy. My heart scrubbed you away countless times, but I could never get rid of the essence of you. The harder I scrubbed, the deeper you embedded yourself in me. The more I tried to forget you, the more vividly the memory of you envelops me.
I've emptied you out a million times already.
But you keep coming back.
Foreword
Entered in this contest: Shoes of a Unicorn Writing Contest (Edit: Holy crap guys, I won first place!)
I used the prompt, "The spot where you've left is full of sadness," but the story was also inspired by the song, Memory, by Younha and Tablo. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love that song.
If you want, check it out here.
As always, please leave a comment. I treasure each and every one of them.
Edit: As advised by daydreamerr, I've decided to make this a drabble collection instead. Enjoy the angst! I don't exactly know where I'll be going with this, but I suppose it'll be like a disconnected story you readers will have to piece together yourselves. Updates will be done sporadically and I will mark this complete again once I run out of ideas.
